I suck at Street Fighter IV. I am Abel's bitch at least 12 times over. How the fuck can he counter all of my throws? More importantly, can I counter his counters?
Where's AxC when you need him?
Where's AxC when you need him?
Attempting to play SFIV online haha. I tried like 3 times in the last 24 hours and maybe I'm trying at the wrong times, but the lag is ridiculous. I also put down Abel a long time ago, might get back into him eventually.

As for Abel, Ahadi, are you trying to counter Abel's Tornado Throw (Command Throw) with a regular throw? Yea, that won't work. Also watch out mashing out random pokes and crap when Abel has bar to EX TT.

Are you playing against another person or against the computer? Who are you playing as? Are you getting thrown on Wake Up or in a Tick Throw setup?
You can probably jab him out of it, but I like the suggestions above!
For EX TT, I can't remember but I believe you gain hit invincibility, but lose throw invincibility (which you gain with normal TT)

I'm playing as Ryu. I'm pretty sure I just mash buttons when he gets me in his Tornado Throw. I try and keep space between him and I, though I'm not having much success. I'm playing on Easy against the computer :bs: and when I'm getting thrown it's usually him countering my throw or we're too close and he takes advantage.

Any way, at this point, I've decided to put the game up for at least a day because of how frustrated it got me. I couldn't believe it!

iirc the cpu abel rolls your pokes on reaction for command throw.

you gotta time your throw/poke perfectly or mash out a non-throwable state like a shoryuken. or jump.

"counter my throw" doesn't make any sense to me, you're gonna have to explain that one

whoops this is actually kainzero

This is correct. ;)

I think I'm going to try and learn Seth for reals. I've been dicking around with him online for the longest time, but the only things I can do are some little things I picked up from fighting AxC all the time.

FUC is a pretty fun game and hard as hell to master.

I wouldnt throw 15 on it unless you have a couple friends that want to play with you.

Thanks, dude. At this point, I don't have any friends that even have a PSP much less this game.

I ended up getting Dissidia for $15 along with Persona.

Good luck Beef!!

He's fun to play with all of his Zoning, fun setups/mixups/resets.

Stamina isn't an issue most of the time with all of his tools, but can get annoying and sometimes feel like an uphill battle.

 awesome JEKKI

also, I have the 360 version of T6 now so if anyone sees me online hit me up. It's to tide me over till I get my PS3 fixed.

GGS Rodimus. I hate playing on the 360 d-pad but it's better than nothing.

GG's to Trajin. Solid Ryu. I realized I haven't played you in SFIV in a long ass time.

Also GG's to Beefasaurus in SFIV. Keep working on that Seth. Just read up in the Seth Sub-Forum on SRK, practice, try/apply and make up your own stuff that you find works.

Practice cr.lk > cr.lp, cr.lp > cr.mp > lightning legs in your sleep :)

Decipher the ESRB rating:

This is an arcade-style fighting game in which players engage in one-on-one combat with a large international cast of human characters. Players mostly kick, punch, and use special abilities (e.g., fireballs, flying moves, and electrical strikes) to drain the opposing player's life meter. Special moves (ultra combos and super combos) are displayed in animated sequences in which characters react to being punched, kicked, or stomped on. Some of the female fighters' outfits are form-fitting and accentuate their breasts and buttocks; before battle, the camera occasionally zooms-out from close-up views of flexed gluteus. One of the fight stages occurs in a distillery with equipment used for brewing and wooden casks labeled "Scotch-Whisky." The expletives "damn" and "hell" can be heard in the dialogue.

Especially your Bison. Good to know that I've gotten better.
i did that but then the blanket fell off and it was real cold
This is why I SPD my blanket before I sleep, that way it's wrapped around me nice and tight.

Lots of ways to connect Lightning Legs.

Funniest Way: Off FA Air Crumple ---> MK Lightning Legs = THA LOLZ
I remember trying SF III at a Fuddruckers in Northern Virginia in 1997 after spending stupid time with Alpha 2 and feeling like it was a step back.
If you don't mind me asking, which NorVA Fuddruckers was it?

It's SSFIV. I was wondering if anyone could guess if there was something describing a new character in there somewhere.
If you don't mind me asking, which NorVA Fuddruckers was it?
The one in Herndon, VA. It's been closed for... I dunno, ten years now.

GGs last night ReRo. I had fun. You kicked my ass pretty good. I tried to get a few matched in with Ganryu, but he still needs a great deal of work.

Finally got my Yoshi Samurai Pack code for Tekken 6.

I got my TE stick today! I played around with it, and it feels REALLY good. I'm having a bit of trouble doing QCF's though. I suspect those will become natural over time. The one difference between a stick and FP and a controller that I've noticed is that my presses/moves come out A LOT faster. Right now the moves are sort of random, but combos I've rarely done are definitely happening more often now.

You've just had your first taste of perfection. Seriously though, the motion commands become muscle memory eventually, you'll do them without thinking out how to do the motion but think about the move and just do it.

*is typing this up tired as hell*

I tried out MvC2 (Arcade Mode on Easy) and I was able to get QCF+P about 95% of the time. Unlike a pad I seem to have to let go of the stick then Punch/Kick for a move to come out. Definitely different, not a bad thing, either. It was definitely some good practice, but I feel that I should try learning a charge character in SF4 now, maybe Chun Li. That'd definitely take some work, though.
If you guys see me on, you should hit me up for some T6. I have it for both consoles.
I'd be down for some PS3 T6, since the patch has seemed to help online play.

Let's hope we don't run into problems like we did for DRO.

Thanks, AxC. =D

Shini's right, that was the first thing I noticed about Fiend's Rock. PLENTY of counter moments, but he never pounced on them. I guess he thought JD would be better, but I dunno.

just got tekken 6 for the psp, i really wasnt planning on buying it for the psp, but damn this shit is hot:hot:
Let's hope we don't run into problems like we did for DRO.
Good lord, that shit was awful. I doubt it would be that bad, after the patch.

JEKKI i watched ur replay data on XBL T6 and have to say you have the right mindset of playing but don't know what moves are right at different opportunities... just a random thought though. i might be off.
Good lord, that shit was awful. I doubt it would be that bad, after the patch.
We should try to hit it up sometime soon, then.

Yeah I am down. I need a reason to start playing T6 instead of spending all my free-time with MW2.

I have the PS3 version, like most in the thread. I'm still looking for an ultra-cheap PS3 mic though, so I don't currently have one.

So I'm still having hardships with SFIV. I feel like the competency of the computer is randomized. It really reminds me of Dead or Alive 4, it's like, is this guy gonna be a tough fight or a push over? Could it be that I'm playing on a stick without having played on a controller first?
I think I hate SFIV. :(
