ok I have a dilema... why the hell did everyone decide to play it on 360? I wish it were PS3 people... why? wtf?:

Ok I'm going to sound crazy but I hate playing this game... the actual game is superb! but I can't even enjoy it... why?

I can't afford a damn stick. I almsot broke my controller 5 times in just 1 hours of playing this... 20% of the time I wanted to do a special I did it... 80% was fail on the easiest shit... and I tried it on the stick... fuck the stick...

yes I'm pissed. I hate you MS for not giving a shit about the d-pad...


I've never been so frustrated with a game in so long. I've never stressed out so much or needed to vent from a game in probably about 10 years or so... :lol: I hate you guys for not owning it on PS3 :lol:

I don't think I can play it again in a while. it's stressing me out after a hard day of work with enough stress already.

I hope the SFIV pads release soon... fuck you MS

Well, sounds like 360 plays better online--plus more ppl seem to have 360 overall? Anyway, I will try it with my Hori EX. I am so looking forward to the MadCatz SFIV Tourney Stick though. Finally, a badass stick for 360!
 
I played 3 hours straight with the SFIV pad today, the longest I've used it in one sitting. I wanted to see if it'd be comfortable over long play sessions.

Mission accomplished.
 
I can't afford a stick. I'm dirt poor at the moment. I'm pissed and poor. College life takes time and money away and I have a job that has taken 4 months to get approved for pay (still not payed).

I'm genna kill someone...

Yeah, I feel guilty that I'm a Ken player since 90% of scrubs use him (although I am a scrub at ST if you didn't notice haha).

Maybe it'll alleviate a bit once I get to him in SFIV.

Also, can you stop the tiger knee with a standing FP? I wonder if that would work with Ken since his goes straight.
 
fuck, its sucks being broke...i wanna get SF so bad, I hate playing it at my friend's house (cause he's there XD). do you have it on ps3 ReRo? cause if i was guna buy it, it would be for ps3

finally got that achievement for winning a ranked match with each character. my w/l tanked though, i went .500. give me my ken and my silly kneebash mixups.

i can't even play ryu anymore. i keep hitting roundhouse for a poke. but i do like playing ryu, fake fireball is too good.

seriously... matchmaking on PS3 sucks, but on xbox it's soooo good.

it's a shame that it's the other way around in the game controls area -_-

anyway, to all the ppl having a hard time with the DPAD... use the analog stick.

I have to agree. The 360's control stick is surprisingly good for fighting games. It's no match for a good D-pad or an arcade stick, but it does get the job done.
 
Man, my ps3 doesnt have internet so i cannot pay SSF2T HD Remx on there, so i bought the 360 verson (buying the PSN one as well). Ontop of all that, i bought a new wired controller for my XFPS adapter since all i had were wireless 360 controllers, and i borrowed a friends controller to test it out earlier. Turns out it does NOT work with the new wired controller, i have no idea why. So i traded my new wired pad for his old and busted one that works with the XFPS, at midnight mind you, and played SSF2T HD Remix for about 2 hours using the XFPS adapter and Tekken 5 PS2 stick.

Man it was awesome. I am doing surprisingly well and the game plays so great online. Loving the arcade stick setup (my first since the SNES days), and i got akuma my first playthrough in arcade mode, and he was disgustingly difficult. Eventually got it done with Chun Li. Just taking a break and really so glad capcom made this game, looks absolutely gorgeous and tons of people playing.

My plan is to eat a shit ton of food, then play a shit ton of Super Turbo HD. I cashed out early last night, way too tired to keep playing on 3 hours of sleep.
 
Is their a mod to fix the x360 d-pad? I remember I did one for the psp d-pad years back. It required cutting a thin piece of plastic (used the plastic from a NES dust cover) into a small cross and gluing it to the inside pad.

Well, there's this one, which I've done. It does help, but the pad I did it to is pretty much shot from VF5.

Then there's this one that was posted on CAG, but I can't find it on here. I'm trying this one later.

Plus I've seen ones where you Dremel the entire ring that surrounds the Dpad down. MS needs to realize that they need to fix this damn piece of shit dpad, and not in just some LE controller for Europe.

I'm not sure to be honest with you. The only time I've seen the Tiger Knee get stuffed in Remix is...

If I throw it out too early (risking using it as an AA) Ryu/Ken can stuff it with j.RH or j.FP

Do you have a headset at all HeavyD? We can talk strategy the next time we get a match going

After online, my definition of scrub in Remix is knocking down Sagat and WALKING UP not expecting wake-up Tiger Uppercut. Once is sort of understandable, twice, three times, four times, yea....no :)

I sort of do too, but I've always liked Ken as a character and I support his more aggressive style. Whenever Ken's selectable, I'll play him. He was even in my main for MvC2. Not top tier, whatever. It's worth having him in there. :bouncy:
 
GGs for the 3 I played last night guys. I was tired from driving and having meetings all day, so I wasn't up for playing or talking :lol: Couldn't even finish Escape from New York.

also stopped by like 5 gamestops, not a single Hori Turbo Ex pad. :(
 
Yes, GGs indeed. I'm totally not awesome at ST, but it's hella fun, and it's actually pretty cool playing as a non-shoto. Ima try out another character today.
 
I'll be on a little tonight. I suck hard at this game though lol. Not use to playing fighters at all and the 360 dpad doesn't help things. Haven't found a favorite character yet either.

BTW, this game is glitched, i cannot get the win with every character in ranked mode, ive played and won with every character including akuma and it never gives me the achievement. Its such a blast to play tho, all i keep playing is the ranked mode right now just to get the achievement but it never gives it to me!!! I got the 20 wins online in ranked achievement too. Argh.

Can you please see if a USB keyboard will work? I know I'll be 200% better if I can play on a keyboard.. anyway I'm about to head over to ranked mode too so maybe I'll see you there.

today like every major holiday I went to the arcade to play sum Blaz Blue

aka the Extraordinary League of Button Mashers, I was getting pwned by an Arakune who just hit buttons all day -_-

I actually did manage to beat him tho!

I used Litchi all the way... she is HARD to figure out! especially when you're getting rushed down but I'm learning a couple more moves here and there.

my hardest thing tho is finding a good ground combo coz nothing seems to be working at the moment...

but I'm gonna read up a bit on it tomorrow and go back on saturday to play more.

I also went 7-3 against sum dood on GAF this morning in HD Remix! beatdowns!!

Fixed my lag situation...patched my 360 into my macbook aluminum which has wireless-N. and I guess I'll just trade in my wireless adapter since this is working far better than expected!

I'm not much of an achievement ho' but I went for the 5 perfects one last night on Easy mode...didn't get it :X On the other hand, NGII on acolyte is easy as shit for weapon runs. Mentor is hard as shit for breathing...damn rawket lawnchair ninjas!
 
SF is so much fun, even though I'm awful right now. It seems like every time I press left or right the controller reads it as up so I end up jumping.
 
This game is something else. Just makes me realize how insanely complex fighters have gotten and now I'm not sure if that's entirely a good thing (most people who aren't hardcore fighting game fans say it's a bad thing.) Screw learning 6000 commands and techniques that may come in handy once every 30 matches if you remember the correct command in the half-second window that it's useful. This game is even more intense since there are less options to go with, if that makes any sense. It's pretty much perfect.
