friday night.

regarding cvs2, my execution is atrocious in that game and since i play a-groove sak bison hibiki, not being able to do a-groove combos is killing me =)

but hibiki's got all sorts of setups that i have yet to learn. anti-air, before throw, after throw, command counter, going through projectiles... and i can't even learn the basic one...
Rock is ridiculous fun to use, but since I've been concentrating on Yun, my Rock-ness has dropped a lot. :(
I haven't played it in awhile, so I'm pretty dull with rock now also. I usually went lvl 4 Rock or partnered him up with Cammy, sometimes 2-2 or 3(rock)-1(camster).
*psst* Abuse general move counters and Cammy's S.HK->Super.

I actually LIKE the cheap SNK bosses, heh. It makes them look badass. I remember the first time I fought against Rugal in King of Fighters '98 and he dragged me across the entire arena to death. I was like, Hooooly shiiiiiit.
I hate them, but I love them also, they're just beasts as final bosses, plus it makes me feel more accomplished just beating them than other fighting games.
Yeah there's a few videos of some beastly ass retired Rock player owning the shit out of homies in cvs2, I really wish I remembered his name. He does it like twice in one match.
Damn, if you can find a video I'd like a link to watch that!
Friday nite plz and the rock player was combofiend a buddie of mine
Isn't combofiend a Ninja Gaiden exhibition player? Name sounds familiar in that context.

EDIT: nevermind. I think I'm just getting combo videos mixed up.

Do you just miss activation setups, or do you mess up the CC halfway through? :)

I run A-Groove mostly nowadays as well. One some days my RC/CC execution is dead on and I'm a happy man. Other days I'm yelling and I feel like an idiot :)

Hibiki is too fun in A-Groove. CC off throw/counter is too funny.
Absolutely. Isn't Joe's groove supposed to be K or something? I mean, he's obviously good enough for me in N, but I was just wondering, since I've been contemplating switching to K altogether, which means I would probably have to learn like, 2 other characters aside from Joe entirely.
K/C for Joe. If you start running K, you might have to abandon Yun all together. That foo gains absolutely nothing from K. Yun pretty much lives and breathes in C though.

Learn Sagat as your anchor (cr. FP = your friend) and you'll have 2/3 of your K team already :)

Yes, no, maybe?! It seems like they're pulling for it.

via CVG
Tekken 6 developer Namco is “considering” platform-specific characters for its next beat-em-up instalment, similar to the Star Wars setup used by Soul Calibur IV, the developer has told CVG.

Speaking in an interview in London, game director Katsuhiro Harada said that although development focus is yet to shift from the Arcade version, Namco is already pondering downloadable content for consoles.

“We’re still working on the Arcade version, so there are no concrete plans [for the console versions] at the moment,” Harada said.

When quizzed on the chances of exclusive PS3 and Xbox 360 characters, the Tekken man said it could be quite difficult.

“Of course we would like to have something - as far as downloadable content goes - specific to platform. However on the other hand it is quite difficult to get Microsoft and Sony to sign off on having differences between the platforms,” he said.

“It is something we’re considering, but it is pretty difficult.”

Tekken 6 has just been dated for Autumn 2009.
Get your points cards ready boys.... (and girls!)

MarkMan doesn't discriminate!

Looks like Cammy and I have a date with the training mode. Thanks!
:D

I really hate DLC. I'm tired of companies charging extra for content that would have otherwise been in the game if it came out during the last generation. The fact that Namco hasn't even finished the arcade version of Tekken 6 and yet is already talking about DLC is absolute bullshit.

P.S. Spandex FTMFW...

I will be on AIM around 7:30 PM PST. I will make a CAG Fighter Thread chatroom titled 'CAGFIGHT'. To invite yourself to the chatroom, press ALT+C while at your buddy list menu then type in your name in the invite list. Then the name of the chatroom = CAGFIGHT.

You are not required to be in the AIM chatroom, but I would prefer live communication rather than posts in here.

See you guys there!

bah, it sucks being in a different time zone sometimes. :p

If anyone happens to seez meez online, then just hit me up for a casual game (SSF2THD 360).

Ohhh man I have an uphill battle -_-

Assuming I beat suko (who is no slouch!), I have either JEKKI or MM and after that likely Pip.

Ow!

pretty much all my execution is bad. i'm hooooping it has something to do with the fact that i'm playing in a DC emulator and using keyboard mapping. but i dunno. i can't do Sak's c.lkx2, s.lk, srk combo consistently on CvS2, but i can in A3.

as for setups, hibiki's cc off throw is really hard for me to time, i get it like 1/30 in practice mode. and i always mess up every CC halfway through. i swear, it's like palm sweat makes my hand slip off the ball. (all innuendo intended on THAT one)

damn my HD bracket is like the bracket of doom.

I can't constantly PTF or ShoSho without choking halfway through the motions. Until I can I'll stick with running (A) Vega/Eagle/Blanka :)

Not that any FG game takes any less, execution is ridiculous in CVS2. With A-Groove being so damn flashy, halfway through a CC, I'll be thinking..."Shit, don't fuck up" haha

I just noticed the SFIV Tournament Stick is $149.99. Sure it's well worth it, but ewwwwwww

I still need to get an HRAP, inPin converter and hopefully win that Namco stick on Ebayzzz

Hard Edge upped a bunch of BlazBlue videos fram gamechariot

http://www.youtube.com/user/HardEdgeOfficial

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhgr9RQaN44

that's the only vid I got to watch... before the youtube filter got turned on AGAIN!

I swear the person who controls that is lol style, they always turn it off whenever they want to watch videos, then turn it back on once theyre done...

so like my access to youtube at work is so intermittent
Yo B:L, I can play anytime.

We are all ready to win, just as we are born knowing only life. It is defeat that you must learn to prepare for.
Yeah, I see you popping online all the time with the notifications.

I'll be off work late, but I'll try to be online by 10pm PST.
