TvC is awesome! It's not THAT much like the other VS games... it definately stands on its own. It's so good! And playing it on a US Wii is hella easy, PM me for details.

Shoot, I got a ton of cash just kicking around in that paypal account now (soon to be dumped into my bank account, because I don't trust Paypal that much)... I should totally just get TVC. In the next couple of weeks... most likely. I'm glad I imported Beatmania for now, but yeah, TVC is still on the brain.

So I finally got my Triple today. Unfortunately, the Sony store wouldn't accept my credit card, so I have to go and buy one of those weird Sony cash cards in order to get HD Remix. I'm still gonna add some FGTers to the friend list tonight, though.

Haha I was just messing around with Ryu in 3rd strike and found out that you can do jump fierce into cr mk into hadouken into shinkuu hado into jab uppercut, and cancel that into another shinkuu. (corner!)



Doesn't do too crazy damage, but its pretty flashy and funny.

Got the stick 2-3 years ago through a CAG trade. Always wanted to get it modded.

How difficult was the mod? I have a T5 stick with adapters for PS3/360/Wii and i love it, but if its not too crazy id like to mod it as well. Thanks.

Sweet mod. I thought about modding mine, but I sold it on CAG instead, and put that money towards modding my Namco stick, which was very easy to do.

I'm getting it on the Triple. I got some games from a buy 2 get one free sale at GS, so I have Spidey, MGS, and GTA to keep my interests up when I'm done getting slapped around in HDR.

Darkstalkers...nice! My reflexes aren't what they used to be, so I'm content with my stock sticks. Glad to see how much interest has taken off on modding though--it's cool to see what everyone comes up with!

Since I have a tube tv still, I was thinking about going for an Element 19-incher with HDMI cables at work, since I can get the TV for under $200, and the actual cables for dirt cheap. Anyone have any problems with Elements, or something else I should know about?

Well, if you are concerned about 1080p, you'd have to invest in tv's 26" and above. Below that, it's just 720p. There are LCD monitors that have hdtv tuners that can use 1080p signal, but about a cm and less than an inch are cut off from the top and sides respectively because of the 16:10 ratio.

Otherwise if you're fine with 720p (which is perfectly fine, since few games render in 1080p), you're good to go.

I have one of those 20" Samsung LCDs w/HDTV tuner and it's working out great for me. I believe I got it 270 before tax and after rebate not too long ago. I believe they're much cheaper now.

Enough about resolution though, the main factor you should look for in most hdtvs is the contrast ratio, and in the FGT's case, response time. Generally high ratios like 10,000:1 is good, and I believe many of the later HDTVs don't have much problems with upscaling and response time (input lag). Just make sure it's a decent amount. And sorry, I don't know much about the Element Brand... Don't they make skateboards?
 
I've never heard of Element, but if you can get a 19" LCD for under $200 that's pretty good. I picked up a 50" Samsung DLP for $700 a few months ago. It's a phenominal TV. Honestly the picture is better than my Dad's 60" Sony LCD.

both had Hakuman selectable... he has a different super meter than others... it's weird
 
My favorite part of Jekki's sig gif is the nodding head with the baseball cap on sideways. I stick around for just 20 more repeats to see that one. LOL

Anyone in here play Super Turbo regularly? I like playing randoms, but some CAGs could be fun too. I'm trying to be the best Chun Li I can, but IDK if i'm actually good. A positive win record can't be bad, right?

I still play STHDR. But if you mean on GGPO, I can always hop on there as well. And if you have STHD, we can go classic mode also. I know a couple tips for Chun I wouldn't mind passing along. I believe a couple other FGT frequenters play Chun, like Markmang. Just send a pm if you're up for it.

btw, anyone here play DBZ Burst Limit? It's a pretty awesome game for $19.99 (gamecrazy). Similar to the Budokai series, but with some gameplay mechanic changes. Basically it's a common simple 3d fighter under that Super Saiyan exterior. There's online play, though I haven't touched that yet. There's a crap load of recycled scenes/graphics, but it's fairly deep yet easy to pick up.

I'll play you in either Remix or GGPO, I prefer Remix though, shit is hot.

There was a tournament back a while ago with a lot of 360 STHD players in this thread. Search for it in this thread and you will find the ones you seek.

I need to play good blanka players.. he's one of my biggest weaknesses. I can do okay spamming kikokens to cut down the ball spam (lol) but the electricity and standing roundhouse really kill any jump in opportunities.

I guess staying in good range for poke/throw games is always the best option, but the ball comes out so quick and he's so slippery that it's tough.

I hate blanka. My friend and I were playing the other day (his first time). I was playing Gief, he was blanka. Once he figured out he could do his electricity move everytime I tried to move in I was fucked.

Spam jab if you think he's going to ball, blanka gets a hefty amount of damage if he's hit out of his ball. Then anti-air (straight jump roundhouse or air throw) and space accordingly. I hate blanka too, Sagat has nothing against his aerials except a late SRK, which I unfortunately can't pull off too well.
 
I fucking hate playing Remix online late at night.. almost everyone I play on there is better than me.. it's so frustrating cuz I always charge down-back with Blanka. My forward ball comes out like 95% of the time but my upward ball only comes out like 25% of the time.. it's like.. wtf. The other 75% of the time I either get the pointless fucking jump back forward ball or just a jumping hk which obviously gets punished. Then, there's lag. Then, there's glitches... fuck... I need to stop playing late at night.
 
Any of you guys play Samurai Showdown 2 or Fatal Fury on Live? I just bought SS2 and never really saw anyone on FF when I got it when it first came out

Also, any of you guys gone online with the shit ton of fighting games on GameTap?

I'm pretty certain nobody plays FF Special online. It was an impulse buy for me. I wish I could get my $10 back. I must've fired that game up only 4 or 5 times.

I would get SamSho 2 if there wasn't a collection coming out soon. SNK just went too collection crazy. I don't see how they expect people to buy thier titles on the VC or XBLA when you can get the collections for under $20. I'm still kicking myself for buying Baseball Stars 2.
