 @ JEKKI's comix

So it seems like from what I've seen on SRK, the the games that are "pretty much in" for Evo 2k9 are Brawl, SFHD, and SFIV. They're talking about TvC as well, and it's not even them discussing the possibility; they're talking about it like it's already confirmed.

Jekki, thanks for the heads up on America's Best Dance Crew. I need to have something to watch. Shame that there's no Naperville group this time, but... Xtreme Dance Force wasn't so hot...

By the way, did you make that last comic with the Recees Puffz Cereal? Because I pissed my pants off laughing at that.

Anyway, that cab is fuckin' nuts. Hell, there's so many lights, the dude was out of breath the whole time he talked. fuckin crack head.
hahahah I just got an angry message telling me I play "$$$gy" in HD Rmix... awesome :D
Yea.. I sent that.. and you do. :\

Yer preachin' to the choir on dem sticks MM, lol. Most of us already pre-ordered. :)

Did you release your test results for the stick with games other than SFIV yet? >_

theyre back!! altho theyre also real boring...

regardless thus begins the countdown to SFIV

Question about SFIV. Besides the shotos who would be a easy character to pick up & play for a noob? I really want some of my friends to play but the get discourged if they loose too much.

Thanks, I was thinking about Sagat but I didn't know how the new characters played.

Some KOF movie news. Here's the IMDb page for the it. Dunno, seems fake to me. I guess "Ayo" is supposed to be Kyo, and the actor fits the character of Kyo perfectly  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1038685/

Here's a good quality KOFXII character trailer. Finally some video of Iori & Raiden. This shit is looking better and better:

Man i hate getting into matches against Guile using my Gief, its nearly impossible as long as they know how to turtle, which of course most guiles do. And tonight i ended up fighting against a legion of guiles and chun li's. It pissed me off so much i almost threw my controller at the wall. Once i get in, i can win, but they never let up enough! Argh! Gief is seriously WAY underpowered against guile. Its a bad bet in every way.

Also, i think playing at the am hours PST really brings out some really good people, played against some top people tonight, albiet a bunch of bastards. Im at 70 wins online i think now, almost got that achievement and never do a ranked match again.

Guile is a real bitch to play with almost anyone.

99% of the people who use him just put up the defenses and wait for you to try to come in. That's how he's played, granted, but it's just not fun. Playing against Guile players just always feels like a pain in the ass to me.

I do want to get better at it, but it's just such a waiting game for them to make a mistake. Very hard to take control and get the advantage.

With Gief though you should be able to use that monstrous crouching roundhouse of his to zone Guile pretty good once you get close. If he sticks out the ducking MK or Roundhouse, he'll eat your roundhouse. Or SPD him when he blocks. It'll make him a lot more nervous about turtling.

Yah, most guile players play as if there is a gun to their head if they do not win. The roundhouse is a awesome weapon, but by the last round, the guile player learns to never stick his foot out and just sit there charging. If i get close enough, sonic boom. If i try to jump, sonic kick. The only time i get a chance is when they stick the leg out, but thats not very often once they learn they can just keep quiet and win that way.

I tried the running grab move (half circle + kick) and its so fast with roundhouse that sometimes i can sneak one in to throw off their balance, but it doesn't always work.

Anyhow, after i calmed down, i decided to play more and got many more wins. Im at 83 wins 48 losses. Almost there. My gief is something fierce, and i wish i could tell everyone i win against that im using the 360 d-pad that isnt even functioning 100% and makes weird click noises on the d-pad when i press down lol.

shit, gief with the OG 360 pad deserves respect. I'm adding you on XBL.

I play chun though so you might not like playing ;)

She does better against guile because she has better pokes than him. I beat a guy playing guile just by poking his crouching roundhouses. He wouldn't give up on it no matter how many times he got hit. I think he was used to winning easily with those simple tactics against other people.

Also, LOL at that gamespot "tournament"

Did they just get random dudes off the street?

It's aggrevating watching them play, and the commentary is worse.

I guess it was a launch event, but Sirlin was there, he probably could have brought in some better dudes from that area..

I did it. 100 Wins online ranked. Ended up 100 wins 53 losses or something like that. Not too shabby. Now if they just patch in trophies on the PSN version ill do that entire thing over again LOL.

with t.hawk when i play a good guile, i try to bait flash kicks by doing straight up j.jab at a distance, which beats it at the right range. and if i'm not doing that, i'm trying to poke with s.roundhouse, s.strong, and c.roundhouse. i try to pressure him into making a mistake and getting a knockdown.

not the same as with gief but it's some help, at least

So I finally got my copy of the PS2 version of Capcom vs. SNK 2 today. I was thinking about it and I don't remember why people disliked the EO versions.

All the comments about the Gamespot tournament make me laugh. It was held here in the Bay and a lot of the Bay's top players as well as top players in general showed up.

Not to make excuses for any of the players I knew showed up, but there were lots of factors. Also I'm sure a lot of the players showed up to have fun, try out SFIV, SFHD and kick it with friends. Also equipment was not what a lot of players were used to and it was Single Elim.
You can't just be any geek off the street!
word.

gotta be handy with the steel if u kno what I mean... earn your keep.
what about these?

What is the deal with these pads? Are we getting them or were they canceled seeing how SSFII:T-HDR is already out?
No comment, sorry.
No worries. I was just curious as to the character line-up if they were indeed still coming. I still hold a grudge at Nubytech for not releasing that Cammy pad that they announced a few years ago.:lol::lol:
You can't just be any geek off the street!
You have to handy with the steel if you know what I mean. Regulators! Mount up!
So my next interviews are going to be SmallWind and Mr. Beef (they both made me awesome headers).

Check your PM boxes soon, fellas.
Awesome! I kinda wanna see Smallwind's header, since it's better than mine...almost. ;)

I think i'm going to pay off my SF4 collectors edition today.

Those pads are sexy. I wish they had made the Super Turbo ones. I'd get the Chun Li pad for sure.

Yeah it got better in the later rounds, somehow. But the early rounds were all dudes who admitted they had not played Street Fighter for years. And that commentary hurt my soul.
