Unless, ya know, your system dies and all your games become coasters. I have many 360 fighters, but dont trust the system worth a damn. PS3 is the way to go. Im on my 4th 360, and on a launch PS3. And SSF2T HD Remix sucks badly on the ps3 due to backbones incompetence, not because of the PS3 itself. I own it for both systems. Im also getting SF4 for both systems. At least i know i'll have one working version at all times.

That absolutely sucks. I always feel like the RRoD is right around the corner. Then again, I have a launch 360 that's never died.:lol:

But, nonetheless, when you have a working unit, the 360 is still king.

Doing the 200+ hit combo in the vid is harder than it looks since the player is TigerKneeing most of the attacks to keep the combo going on the ground.

i need to find competition. on the other hand, at least i'm playing pretty solid. even though i'm decent i don't wanna drop any matches... unlike tekken where i can lose to the scrubbiest of scrubs randomly, i wanna be solid throughout.

That Fate game looks pretty sick.

I think I'm trading in soul calibur today. Makes me sad because it was what got me into fighters, but I'm really not feeling it anymore especially since I have zero fun online.

I wish I could use my HRAP3 on a DC, so I could play MVC2 on a TV. :lol:

You know, when I was debating between 360 and ps3 for a next gen console. Usually ps3 would come out on top overall. I mean, isn't the online play generally less expensive in the long run. Sure, you get what you pay for, but I thought online was perfectly fine on ps3, especially for a free service. I too agree that ps3 version of sthd is craptastic due to lack of testing, not the system. Personally though, I prefer playing locally.

edit: That F:UC looks crappy. Looks like they just straight ripped off the doujin game.
 
QUESTIONS!

For MarkMan! I know you frequent here so I thought I'd ask since you have the inside track on everything.

Those SF4 faceplates - the only one i see shamestop's site showing is this:

Which shows the vertical design, are they just going to come mixed as vertical and horizontal under the same SKU?

The SF4 guide is being done by prima (ugh) but the description claims they are doing it like japanese guides and adding frame data and worked with top players - I still think it'll be shite compared to just reading up on SRK and on boards, but could I be wrong?
 
Yeah I don't like that the faceplate includes the skin (Because I won't use the skin) but I probably will get one anyway.

Depending on how this new job works out, that is.

Man, I really need to practice harder on HDRemix. I'm still getting freakin dominated online. Seems like the only person I can consistently beat is Sagat.

Hey, I don't fuck around against Akuma. I have to keep thinking about how I'm supposed to get around that annoying-ass air fireball so I can grab him. Still, once I get in there, it's (more or less) gg for Akuma.

There are two SKUs hitting GameStop, not sure why their online preorder has it as one.

But both horizontal and vertical design will be in stores.

Also for the guide, I know the guy who did it personally and have talked to him about it on occasion a few times. I believe it will be a solid guide. There is frame data (same one as the Japanese mook that came out), but the character specific data will only be for the arcade characters. Capcom has not provided frame data for the console exclusive chars.

That sounds more promising. I remember seeing an article for it in my Nintendo Power but I skipped over it.

So I'm guessing it'll be based on the comics, not the new cartoon, seeing as how Laird is involved
