GG's to Option. Always love getting Bison practice with Abel. You and Beef both play Bison, but play him completely different, which is good.

I didn't get to use ALL the Abel tricks I have up my sleeve :)
 
ggs axc. Unfortunately, that was like the first time I played Abel before, so I was trying to figure out how to actually play against him. Hopefully I'll put up more of a fight next time.

Though I'm 99.99% sure you don't play Clark as aggressively as a Mexican. Clark must be Mexican for RAPE or MANHANDLING or something that's equally unfair to us American players.

Today I beat someone with 7000 bp, which made me happy although it wasn't a very good match.

I also played ElF for a couple hours on 360, and proceeded to lose like 700 points then gain back like 300. Good stuff!


I have a final tommorow, fuck finals!

I usually find that troublesome only against characters with reliable/nutty AA's like Shoto's :)

Abel rules. If you are patient you can find other ways of getting in close for mix-ups, even without cross-up or roll 100% of the time.
 
I think I've finally warmed up to Bison. The morning was nuts though, I practically played a different character every time on ranked. It was like Akuma, Zangief, Ryu, Honda, Vega, Sagat, Chun Li, and I was on a role til I faced Balrog. He beat me with an EX in the middle of my ultra and left him with a hair of life left, I was so mad >_<

I haven't really played any Balrogs so I had no idea he could absorb one hit with his EX moves. EX headstomp is really, really cool though and now I'm all into SFIV again! I just gotta learn what I can and cannot stop with a FA because I hardly ever used it :/

I'm using Fei and Dan...

:lol: I'm not coordinated enough ATM to block the other way... I proably bulldog too much. I realize that since I hold back now more than I use to and seem to get alot more wins.

SFIV is less about bulldogging and more about landing good hits at the right time.

I probably bulldog because I bulldog with some characters in Tekken mid match for mind games.

I'm curious about the US version. I know first hand that the Japanese version is sweet. Might just stick to that if the US version has the usual SNKPUSA bullshit going on.

After reading what a handful of people have said about the U.S release, seems like it's close to the JPN version and a good port.

Xeroma SRK mentions (as others did) the only differences they have noticed is different buttons presses for palette swap and no blood. No mentions of any gameplay issues.

Might do a quick stop by Gamestop in an hour and pick this up before work tonight.

I'm interested to see some of these new moves and intros. I hear Orochi Shermie & Brian have a funny one togther.
 
I played sum matches on PS3 becoz I Shimi wasnt online, I bet he's out pickin up the ladies on a friday nite rite now.

I lost freakin twice man!! once to a scrub Ryu who I was goin easy on!! Those jumping roundhouse crouching roundhouse combos hurt lol.

second to a Zangief player, coz I missed my freakin ultra!! Those missed ultras are deadly man...

It's hilarious that you mentioned that (well, to me it is). I had an hour before I had to go to work so I went by my local GS to see if they had any copies of KOF98UM in.

Saw it on the shelf, so I brought it up to buy. Ended up being the last copy they had. A friend of mine was working that day and said they only got a handful in. Lucky me

If I knew the original KOF 98' DM was going to be included in this release, I would've held off on buying the Orochi Collection for Wii. Oh well, I only used $20 in credit for the Orochi on Wii.

Definitely looking forward to start digging into KOF98UM.

I had a guy rage quit on me when I was tearing him up with my Dictator. 1st round was a blowout, and the connection was butters. 2nd round I was fresh off of a headstomp which lett him with a sliver of health and was coming down with the finishing blow when it locked up and DC'd.

So I texted him.

Me: Loser!

Him: Sorry is my connection
 
I just msg everyone saying "Sorry Dan is cheap, isn't he?" when people quit my ranked Matches (I use Dan 90%+ of the time. Just too fun to pass up.)

So here's my round 3 story:

I lost. :lol: Anyway, the guy that beat me won the whole thing.

Round 1 Blanka(me) vs. Sagat(Eric): Not much of a problem. I beat him with like 80% health left.
Round 2: Pretty even.. then.. I... HIT START BY ACCIDENT. This created an uproar of confusion.. I felt like a dumbass and they made me lose the round. At first the guy said I was disqualified so I was just happy I had another chance.
Round 3: He beats me with a little bit of health left.
Round 4: I get him down to 1% left and I have 50% left. Now.. I play some of you guys online regularly.. and you know how ya'll always tell me not to spam my ultra? Well, I figured since I had so much health left... OH fuckIT, SPAM ULTRA! So.. did you all know that Sagat can ultra all the way across the screen and hit Blanka out of his ultra for about 50% damage? I do now! So I get up.. jump over a Tiger Shark, block a couple jabs, EX Ball through another Tiger Shark, and get punched in the nuts to lose the whole thing. Oh well.. it was fun. :D

I also got stuck with the last copy. Normally I refuse to buy them, but with a game like KOF 98' UM I'd be wasting my time trying to find a sealed a copy.

I love the EX version of Geese, his projectiles make him soooo cheap. And with normal Geese you don't have to input commands for his Deadly Rave anymore, he just does it automaticlly. Plus they gave Krauser his Real Bout moves including his Super Tornado DM. I can't wait to go through the rest of the characters to see all the new moves.

But I'm sure this is old news for all you guys who imported it
 
I've got a quick question & I'm sure this is the thread to get the answer.

Can anyone 100% confirm that the eBay Saturn USB pads will work with OS X 10.5.x? Specifically with MAME but it would be cool if it works with something like Gametap as well. I really want to get one but there's no point if it won't work. If it doesn't, any recommendation for a good pad for fighters that will work on the Mac?

Also, I've been trying to get my 360 Fightpad to work on my Mac with no success. I have the unofficial drivers that work perfectly with my regular X360 controller but the computer won't recognize the FP at all. I've tried USBOverdrive & that didn't help.

Any help would be apprciated!
 
Wow, Chun is so useless against Blanka.

I have a really hard time with Vega, but then I always have. The wall dive shit just makes my brain shut off in confusion. Even though he's suppossedly terrible in SF4, I have a harder time with him here than I did in ST.

At least Chun has some big advantages against Sagat, the new god of street fighter.

Hazanshu mixups, standing roundhouse, pokes, and ultra are so good against him. I have an easier time against him then Blanka.
