Got to the quarterfinals of my GameStop tourney and wound up getting knocked out by one of the best players in the area. Zangief vs. Blanka is like a fucking chess match, but he came out on top. He went on to lose to aznhitler in the finals. Now I never have to play SFIV on a 360 pad ever again, thank god.

fuck Blanka.

wtf?

I love the EX version of Geese, his projectiles make him soooo cheap. And with normal Geese you don't have to input commands for his Deadly Rave anymore, he just does it automaticlly. Plus they gave Krauser his Real Bout moves including his Super Tornado DM. I can't wait to go through the rest of the characters to see all the new moves.
I need to take a break from SFIV to get into KOF98UM and check out some of the characters.

I'm not surprised that lot if not all of the players moving on in the Gamestop tourney's are top players from that area. Had a feeling that Aznhitler's name would pop up outta the TX area tourney's.

Anyone want to play SFIV? You can use characters you dont normally play and still win cause I'm shit. Fun times will be had by all.

The times I've had the most success with Cammy I would just sit back and play defensively. CS on jump ins and drill + spike on wiffs and after blocking. But I'm not the best person to ask. Hopefully BlueSwim will see this and chime in.
Anyone got any tips for a starting SF4 Cammy? It's always seems so hard to gain ground on the opponent with her.
Best tip I have to offer at the moment is that Cammy's Axle Spinning Knuckle can go through projectiles with the right timing.:cool::cool:

EDIT: Sorry I'm a little light on the tips ATM, I haven't touched SFIV in about 2 weeks and I'm battling a headache.:( I'll try to post something a little more in depth tomorrow, option.

Haha thanks bro. I think i got it down against normal ground hadoukens. But does it go through akuma's air projectiles?

In honor of the "no bitch assness" motto, I'll go due a little experimenting against Akuma and report back. Jest is pretty much on-the-money with his advice too.
:D:D:D

Okay, just looked into it and yes, the Axle Spinning Knuckle can pass through Akuma's mid-air Hadouken with the normal timing as long as it's around medium height on her, or the same height as a normal Hadouken. If the Hadouken hits her high enough, she'll take damage.

Spin Knuckle is awesome against scrubs. They don't know about it and when you hit them can get in a pretty nice combo cause they are all "OH SHIT OMGOMGOMG".

Well, just played an Akuma and it was not fun at all. But I did confirm that spinning knuckle goes through Akuma's air fbs. Though it really doesn't mean much since they're most likely jumping back al the time.

Thanks guys for the tips. If you guys have the ps3 version and wanna do some Cammy mirror matches, I'm up for some.

They'll never know what hit them!:lol::lol:

Be sure to have an Ultra saved up to increase the chance of a disconnect.:lol::lol:

I'll have to say the same goes with Dan... I'm aggressive, but I've learned I win more by working in more defense.

My Cammy is on the offensive. Crazy attacks = crazy fun.
I also enjoy beating Shoto's with Dan and Sagat (Sagat more).
Countering shoto's with more shoto = win.

If anybody wants to play SFIV on 360, msg me on live!

Another item of note, you can Spiral Arrow under projectiles, allowing you to make forward progress while dodging the projectile.
Dan vs Shotos isn't fun... the wins are even better than normal wins though.
It's pretty fun. I'm not pro with Dan.
Cammy is my main, but I love using Sagat, Rose, Dan and most people that don't have charge attacks (I like Balrog, Chun Li and Vega but my charge skills are bad).

There's also the cannon strike -> low short -> low jab -> low short ( if the 2nd low short hits, -> spiral arrow) for pressuring and meter building. TK cannon strike for tick throwing or use the EX TK cannon strike to connect an Ultra.

Wait, do you mean the EX version? I'm sure the SA can go under Sagat's high projectiles and under Akuma's if done early, but I dunno about normal fbs.

GGs ReRo. Sorry couldn't stay longer. Just got really tired. I couldn't pull off any specials or combos for the life of me. Frickin SRKs were giving me a really hard time.

yeah GGs Jest. Actually after playing you I've kinda learned a bit more how to play dan in a style I'm comfortable with... basically mind gaming even though I don't think it was as good as it could be when I did it with you

Learn how to cannon strike effectively with cammy, its the jump in one and its extremely useful. The ex version can combo into a normal one too, and that can be comboed out of with a fierce and cs or sa. Its hard to do though!
 GGs Azumanga.
That was horrible :)
It was a combination of you being amazing and me being too tired.
I'd like to play when I'm more awake next time, although I'm sure the results would be the same.
Any tips for performing in-air attacks in general? I have a very hard time pulling them off.
What in-air attacks are you talking about?

Cammy's can be used at any time as long as its a forward jump, this is really useful for her by doing it right at the start of a jump to essentially triangle jump and when shes almost in on them because it will combo.

Wouldn't the TK Cannon Strike be only something to use when the opponent is dizzy? The range on it is super small.

Though I can see an early Cannon Strike being a good jump fake. I should know, I fall for Rufus' all the time. Seeing a fat guy move through the air so fast is ridiculous.
ggs axc. Man I hated those projectile keep away games...
GG's to you too Option. Thanks for letting me be not so serious and fuck around on SFIV, which I rarely get to do.

Seth is fun to play as, too bad he takes damage like a biatch.

Yeah, its usually done after a focus attack.

At least its not like dealing with Magneto or Storm's jump ins in mvc2 -_-
Most of them can be preformed at the peak of the jump.
I find dan's kick combo is best used a split second before hitting the ground since it saves ur ass most the time at that point than any others when jumping in.

Today is the first day there was no one on my buddy list playing SFIV.. and I was playing GTAIV: Lost and Damned. Oh well.. looking forward to Tekken 6.

Yeah I've gone down from playing it every day to just a few days a week. I know I'll be playing it for months and years ahead consistently though.

I think finally the initial buzz of gotta play it every chance I get is turning into I'll be playing it a few times a week.

I see myself playing more Tekken 6 than SFIV. I can't wait.
