Heads up on film progress ;)

screen1.jpg

so far only test footage has been made, but the reason why it was made was so effects can be setup for all other shots.

 sad part is that I'm working on the end credits first and then the rest of the film later >_

I still like SF4, don't get me wrong. It's a great game with a lot of awesome gameplay mechanics (I really like Focus Attacks and bringing back EX moves.) I don't know if it's the roster or something, but I'm just not as in to it as I used to be.

Also, my win streak is 50 ;) (and I didn't lose the 51st match, I let my brother play a match and he lost lol)

dang so like it's monday, not olivia munn day, jus regular monday, and mondays suck.

I'm at work hating it up as usual, all tired n shyt.

I go to the gym, do my running and my resistance, now my body's more tired and kinda hungry.

go to the market to get my lunch for tomorrow...

finally get home!!! change into sum more comfortable clothes... still kinda tired tho.

decide to play the Street Fighter!! I still got my win streak, let's take it to the top!!

and then first match... the very first match... I lose that shyt!!

to a Ryu scrub!!!

that's what I get for playing when I'm not feeling too sharp!!!

booooo~!!!

my win streak is OVER!!

so I keep playing, win a few more rounds, then lose again... to fukkyn FLOWCHART KEN!!

booooo~!!! x 2

keep playing, keep winning, finally getting more in the game, but still tired...

finally lose again to a somewhat competent Ryu... dang those mashed jabs can get you when you're trying to mix it up.

I coulda beaten him, but I'm tired. He only had a pixel of health when he killed me. o well....

i been to ai before lol didnt know that was the place they held there tournys:drool: funny my good buddy combofiend to me about the place

dam i got punked by some 5500 BP gen..........it looks like gen is ALWAYS blocking LOL so i never went on the offensive... his blocking pose looks exactly like his unblocked pose...

oh well i almost beat a 5500 BP ken yay! not that BP really matters.
jimbo, you still want EX3? let me know, it's set to go, just need to confirm you're at the same adress.
Yeah man, the 19054 one right? If so, I'd really appreciate it man... thanks!

I'll have it sent this week :)

also, I've come to realize I'll never be good at a SF game. SFIV just has me hating the game. I love the game, but I've learned that Capcom has yet to make a character that feels natural to me (outside of Project Justice). They always get it super close, but one thing feels off for me...

Once again SFIV has accomplished in pissing me off.

I practice. I lose. I work my ass off. I lose. I lose I lose. >_< :bomb:

My only real answer now is getting a stick. that way I'll know for sure if it's only me or not.

 crazy that SFIV makes me look forward to T6BR more. At least I don't feel stiff with that.

I'm just throwing out guesses here but I could attribute to that to maybe two things...

1) Stop playing on pad. Get a 'cade stick already :)

2) Your choice in Main Characters. I assume that the two characters I've seen you play (Fei & Dan) are your mains? No offense to players that have either as their main, but both characters have an uphill battle against most of the SFIV cast. Playing Low Tier against High Tier will always be fun but there are times it makes you feel like you aren't progressing. I don't play Marvel seriously, but I get it. Low Tiers are fun in Marvel and I run them all the time. Thing is when I was running my Low Tier Teams against High Tiers, I always felt like I was never progressing in the game because the teams I'd normally pick would get stomped by the usual teams (Matrix, Santhrax, MSS, MSP, etc.).

Just my 2 cents :)

that's what I was assuming...

1 - Yes, I need a stick.

2- Yep, Fei and Dan are my mains. I can't stand having anyone else as mains (besides abel, but I'm not comfortable at all with him), but I'm open to suggestions >_< ...? other than shotos...

My main gripe i guess now is that Fei and Dan are the only two styles I enjoy and feel the most comfortable with but them being a lower tier really dosn't help me at all.

I guess I'll keep climbing my mountain of losses :bomb:  I guess I ask for it >_

I was going to suggest joining me and use Ryu but no shotos lol. Anyways, I agree with AxC that if you can main someone that is a bit higher tier, you should easily see more wins coming your way. Continuously fighting uphill battles can only be fun for so long before it gets frustrating :whistle2:(

GG's to Suko. You completely wrecked my Abel/Seth with your Shotos. I have no idea what the hell is wrong with me tonight :)

I have to play better than that if I'm going to NOT look like an idiot at a SFIV/FG party/get-together that I'm going to in a couple weeks. I had to adjust to your aggressive play-style which doesn't really work for Seth and sort of works for Abel but then becomes one big guessing game on both sides.

Learned tonight that a well-timed FA puts a flat tire in Seth's Wall Jump Cross-Up. Also that Shoto's J.HK beats anything. Oh and that Ryu can throw out a Super/Fireball on a COLLISION :)

GG's to you too AxC. Your Seth is pretty fun to play against and refreshing since you don't find that many Seth players. Yeah, the wall jump is something I capitalize on when I play the CPU so I always look forward to it. However, the CPU sure doesn't do those awesome combos you do! As for Abel I always have to keep on high alert like usual. Even then I seem to eat a lot of links to ultra's lol. I need to work on that. Thought you might enjoy hearing this, against you I honestly have like no chance to pull off DP > Ultra or FADC > Ultra. You just don't jump enough lol! I also require forethought doing FADC > Ultra and can't find an opening on you ever. Oh, and that Akuma match...it probably won't happen again. I did plan that super out, but I doubt I could pull off anything after that stuff again. Anyways, let's play again soon!

After we played I went on rank and I beat a 9,400 BP person...and I didn't take pics cause I skipped too fast :whistle2:(

Edit: That guy wasn't as good as his BP would indicate though.

Fei has a couple good tools that make it alot easier than Dan at least. His chicken wing goes through giefs lariat and is a decent aa, and the ex version is fullscreen and goes through projectiles.

He's really tough to win against shotos though since he has some problems dealing with runaway + fireballs when he has no ex chicken wing.

rolento why dont u try guile? he has an upward kick like feilong and shoots projectiles like dan. lol

wait what about rufus? hes like a combination of both and has good combos

is it becoz of sum kinda bull shyt scrub mentality that isnt any different than people using them to begin with?

omg anti-shoto!

Shoto's teach fundamentals, and maybe your problem is that you lack fundamentals in your gameplay. I learned a lot about SFIV from playing Ryu so maybe u should pick up a shoto for a while??

I dont use Ryu anymore, I suck with him now... but improving with him allowed me to learn Chun as well as leveling up my main.

Hey I think I have the fundamentals down but I am absolutely terrible with shoto-type characters. I just stick with my chargers usually. I think that a major difference is that shoto-type characters are usually twitch-instinctual combo-like. It's a lot easier to link together different types of combos with shotos. Charge characters involve more planning and mind games.. at least that's the way I see it. It's interesting to see how the tiers are though. In SFIV, you have 3 shotos as top tier (Sagat, Akuma, Ryu). Then you have Zangief... and then you have a bunch of chargers (Bison, Balrog, Blanka) hmmmmmmmmmm.

hmm i faced a 7500 BP zangief.. but he was messin with me
i beat him rd 1 then the 2nd rd he hit me and threw me then lariat spammed and i couldnt get through..

how do u stop a lariat spam? he was milking clock... i tried to do the dash low hit and.. still got blasted tried to dash in round house didnt work either..

The only character I know fairly well is Blanka and I don't really have too much of a problem with Zangiefs. You can slide under the lariat. You can do b, f + k into it. If you electricity while he lariats into you, it'll hit him after he finishes. You can do d, u + k which has priority over his crouching HK. Zangief vs. Blanka is probably Zangief's hardest fight right after Sagat.

Damn Phrostbyte, 305 dollars for a bunch of swag? That's crazyness.

Also, thanks a lot ReRo. I appreciate it. Maybe you should try Honda or Rose? They seem like they might fit your style of play.

no character ever feels natural until you practice, takes me at least a month before i know my character inside out

i swear to god everyone thinks they're working harder than the other person

being a sakura player, i go on srk and sakura players bitch about how they have to work harder than a sagat or a ryu player. i don't know what they're talking about. it's the same thing.

play hard, train smart, and accept that losing is part of the learning curve

Rog's EX moves have focus armor on them, u may be able to absorb a hit and hit your opponent before his lariat can hit you again.

I'm not for sure, but try it.

Dude I just checked e-mail for the first time today... unfuckingbelievable. Seems like a legit buy too... I won't talk until the money is in my bank account though. :D

What's funny is another guy who was also selling the 3 headbands only had his sell for $30... wow...
Gief's lariat armor break's don't it?
no, but i wish it did
it sucks when you absorb one lariat and then eat the second rotation

that's the most unnecessary damage ever
El Fuerte needs a better wakeup move. >:[
Cross up tostada suplex or f mk to roll over them and then throw. You can also to fake outs with the run, either by doing the lk backdash or just stopping before you get to them to bait wake ups.

I don't mean attacking their wakeup - I mean on his.

That air throw is a nice move and all, but since it can't hit ground targets, getting Fuerte into a corner with an aggressive opponent = game over. Unless there's something no one is telling me to attempt.

do the weak airthrow, it goes over throws, projectiles and most attacks, then throw as you come down. Otherwise just block and backdash or something.

Pretty sure I've tried just that, but I'll try it some more.

It's just kind of a detriment in that other characters have wakeups that can hit at a variety of times (any shoto's srk is the best example) versus his, which requires them to be in the air and so on. Makes him less of a threat AND more susceptible overall.

Yeah, but all you have to do is get in a quick focus attack and run stop fierce them into oblivion. It makes him very intimidating to get in on, and people are really wary of his focus attack.

I can't stand how Rose plays... never liked her in the Alpha series or here. I suck with charge characters as-is but honda is probably the one that I could actually try to play (though badly, because my coordination for chargers is way off).

I like power/speed characters... the problem is Fei has the speed I want but shitty power. Dan has decent power (even if shitty) and just barely the right speed. Gouken has the power I want, but his play style is so oppsoite of how I play it hurts my brain.

nah fukk that man, post the actual pic lol

I dont understand how the Blanka Rose matchup is 7-3... Rose kicks my ass!! and I have no idea why.

also surprised at 5-5 Blanka vs. Honda... Honda is another characters I'm hella scared to get close to.

anyway I'm hella tired... had to do 3 matches for GAF tournaments...

won them all!!!
