The game was so bad me and my friend played in the same apartment and there was still lag with yellow bars.

i remember when i was a poor young college student who had to sell old games and books to buy an HRAP1 from sdtekken.

now i am a full-time worker with too much money and i spend it all on joysticks.
 
Went to Arcade Infinity today, it was hella fun. Nice, big SF4 crowd, and got to see DJ Max Technica!

Once I got warmed up, got hype with a 3 win streak! Woulda stayed longer but had to jet :(

KOF has ALWAYS been hit or miss.

95, 97,98,2k2,XI

BAD KOFS

94,96,99,2k1,2k3

I'm confident XIII will be great. It usually takes SNK two tries to get the formula right when they try something new. Remember how bad strikers were in 99? Or how crappy tag team was in 2k3?

While I agree that KOFXIII has potential, I strongly disagree with your choice of bad KOF games. The only two KOF games I find extremely "lacking" are 2K & 2K1.

94' held up poorly, but it was the first and innovatived the genre not only gameplay-wise but by pulling characters from all of their properties. That has to count for something.

96' was a damn solid entry and probably the best story wise. How can you beat the awesome team of Geese, Krauser & Mr. Big? Also sprites & animations were upgraded for all the characters. This was the first KOF I ever played and I remember being blown away.

99's striker system did seem a bit forced and felt like a weak response to the popular Vs. series. However it introduced several memorable characters while giving the old ones makeovers in both visual and movesets. The music is my favorite in the series. Like many of the previous KOF titles this wasn't just a rehash with a few new characters.

I'm gunna be pissed if SSF4 comes out and it's still a huge sea of Ken/Ryu/Sagat when there's such a diverse cast.

I bet they all stick to ranked/championship mode anyways. Endless battle is going to be where it's at. \\:D/

Reminds me of all the Robert, Kyo, & Joe matches I had to suffer through in KOFXII. Like playing it online wasn't punishment enough.

I've rolled 3 Cables against my friends. They loved that.
 
Alright, maybe not "pissed," but definitely disappointed. I have faith in the endless battle/player match. You get a lot more variety in player matches on other games compared to ranked. Considering the cast is going to be well over 30, we're bound to get some variety.
 
I've been playing Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 for a few days. I really love this game. It's probably my favorite Fatal Fury game after Mark of the Wolves.

Agreed. Real Bout 2 gets overlooked IMO.
