She loves Sakura, so she allowed it. ;)

Actually, after playing it tonight, she pretty frosty on this game.
She hates the look, thinks it feels stiff, and says they ruined Street Fighter.

I just laughed.

Stiff? What the hell does she play?

I thought it felt loose, not stiff.

Seconded. It's still pretty fun though, but I expected to be consumed by it, rather than just saying "It's fun."

Make Project Justice 2 using this engine.

Oh yeah, I also snagged Yakuza 2 for my friend. It's a gift, since he bought me a few cheap games for my birthday, and he doesn't really have too much money to throw around. He's been wanting it since he watched me play it and he really likes Yakuza 1.

It's nice having good friends. :)

Someone please talk me out of buying the Saints Row 2 CE from Amazon today. I don't think I can resist otherwise.

Played some more Xeno 3. Its longer than I thought, but I'm closing in on the end. I've put almost 40 hours into it so far, but I did grind for a bit to get some skill points.

I'd buy it myself if I didn't just place an order for $300 worth of stuff...

Only buy SR 1.5 if you liked SR and wanted a few improvements.

Thanks for really trying to talk me out of it gang. You guys are such a big help (sarcasm) but I just pulled the trigger on that SR 2 CE. I hate you all, and when my girlfriend asks about it, I'm gonna put the blame entirely on the GGT. I hope you can live with yourselves.

SR2 sucks.

Lots of PSP announcements.
LittleBigPlanet
Motorstorm: Arctic Edge (also for PS2)
Rock Band: Unplugged (has DLC)
Assassin's Creed

Hey SFIV players!

What's the point of the 'controller' and 'arcade stick' option under button config?

At first I thought it meant I could have two seperate configs whenever I chose either option, which is really cool as I wouldn't have to reconfig each time.

But the custom config stayed the same no matter which option I chose.

I've never noticed that.

I have no idea what that does.

I had it set to controller, I set it to arcade stick. I'll let you know if I notice anything different.
Er, these characters were designed for the player to "create" the identity. Granted, there's limits, but at least in Fallout 3, your actions can affect how others interact with you, and actually impact some elements of the story.
I'm aware of that, but sometimes, it just doesn't work. Compare The Nameless One to your average Bethesda character.

Though Fallouts have always been better than The Elder Scrolls in that regard...
I can't stop myself.

Just bought the Saints Row 2 CE
What system?

Dally:

Kotaku(or Joystiq) had a link to a site that played it.

I couldn't get into Oblivion, but I think that's because I felt the level system, among other things, was broken. It was fun to play initially, though.

Speaking of Fallout 3, I'm really racing to the finish now. I think I'm on the last quest of the main story now, but just need to make sure I finish the side quests I wanted to and explore a little more.

I also unlocked Akuma last night. God I'm horrible at SFIV. It's fun, though.

Nice PSP news--I'm actually interested in all those mebbe minus RB. I don't think that kind of game works on portable.

Saints Row 2 is amazing. One of the best games to come out last year. Fact, not opinion ;)

My laptop's power cord shit the bed on me and I had to order a new one. $65 well spent I guess.

I've been playing a lot of Chrono Trigger. I think I'm at the halfway point? After Chrono Trigger I'm moving on to Star Ocean First Departure. I'm really digging my PSP. And LBP for PSP is a day one purchase for me.

On the ropes about Killzone 2 though. Is there a USA demo yet? Or do you still need to set up a Euro Account?

Persona 1 remake confirmed for US.
And if the rumored PSP-4000 complete remake is true for GDC/E3, then looks like a pretty good year for PSP.

I'll upgrade to that new PSP and DSi.
Still have the original models of both.

If a PSP-4000 comes out I'm probably going to be a little peeved. Unless there are no real differences except size :whistle2:k I really like the way the 2000 feels in my hands. Way better than the original model.

If I had a Lite, I wouldn't bother with the DSi for a while.
Unless the DSi-only titles come out soon and are worthwhile.

DSiware is interesting though.

If the racing in Motorstorm PSP is as good as Sega Rally Revo's on the PSP, then I'll probably check it out, and I'll definitely pick up LBP PSP. Otherwise, everything else is completely silly.

A new PSP model would be pointless. PSP3000 was pointless as well.

Playing some Wario Land at the moment. I wish I could go to the final area of the game, but no. They want me to earn another 110,000 coins so I can buy the final area map. So I have to replay a good 6-10 levels to get enough coins to do that.

I still own the original DS myself. I just never found a good reason to upgrade. I've played around with a DS Lite and I hated how small it was. And it seems that the DSi might be even smaller.

If the new PSP model is true and a big step up from the current PSP then I'll grab it.

Also I want a DSi...all the useless features intrigue me. You can now write with rainbows in pictochat? NO WAI!!

Didn't know this, cool:

protip: some of you probably need to practice your counters to specific characters moves? Well step right up!

you can go to the training mode and control the dummy. you can then "record" any moves you do while controlling the dummy, then press play and resume control of your character. the "playback" will loop!

So if you want to practice countering shoryuken's, you can simply go to training...pick your character...pick Ken/Ryu/whoever...take control of Ken/Ryu and throw a fireball while recording...then select "play" and resume using your character. he will throw that fireball until you disable that playback.
