The original FEAR was too fucking hard for me. I'm not very good at shooters. Or games in general, actually. But damn, thats an incredibly hard game. Those AI are crazy.

I loved FEAR 1 ALOT (although it was on a PC at the time) and heard FEAR files was pretty worthless. FEAR 2 sounded like a better representation of a sequel. They did something to it where it's not as easy or natural control wise (at least for me). I've been trying to get rid of it for so long now so since I haven't been able to I popped it in last night and burned about 5 hrs. straight playing it.

It's an ok game, I wouldn't call it a realistic shooter at all, but it's strengths are strategic placed events that you aren't ready for. It makes you feel like you're actually there rather than playing a game. I have it on normal because I just want to get though it fast. (not that it helps since I'm not like some people here that can get though a game in 4 hrs. easy. xD) I'd recommend getting it at like $20 and just enjoy the good scares out of it.
I'm scared of scary games.
I am also to an extent, I can play more action oriented games RE, Bioshock, etc..but I am freaked out by cerebral/weird stuff like Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, etc.. The funny thing is I actually prefer more cerebral/weird, ghost movies than over the top gore, slasher films.

I know I complain about sequels and promote original IPs and ideas and all, but seriously, if there's not a new Hitman game announced soon, I'm going to go crazy.

Ninja Blade isn't bad. It's not great, but I'd rather have the QTEs going on in the cinemas than just watching them. It's about God of War caliber action game. B-grade.

Didn't they already announce a new Hitman game was in the works? Maybe I'm imagining things, because I want a new Hitman game really bad, too.

Officially, I don't think so, no. There was one guy here that did some testing for Eidos and he said there was definitely one in the work for the next gen consoles, but that was a little over a year ago and Eidos ain't talkin'..

Ninja Blade is well worth the $20 tag.

Dead Space wasn't too scary. I played it in the dark with full surround sound, so there were some "jumpy" moments, but nothing too bad. I stopped playing at a certain boss that was just ridiculous, shortly after the stupid "asteroid" bit.. it felt like it was ripped directly from Star Wars, when they're shooting the Tie Fighters

I'm feeling a bit nostalgic.. I may start Mother 3 today.. or play some older Resident Evil games.. not sure yet :)

Speaking in a recent interview, Eidos 'life president' Ian Livingstone revealed, "It's being worked on, but there's been no announcement on the release date yet. We haven't even announced the game yet, so everything you hear about the next Hitman game is purely speculation at this point."

Lots of articles up on google from the last month regarding a new Hitman and Kane and Lynch being worked on.

Someone uploaded the full Snatcher Sega CD soundtrack at Galbadia :whee::whee::whee:

I can offically retire my copy now!! Some Sega CD games could be put into a CD player and you could listen to the music from them.. Snatcher was one of those, but you could only hear certain songs and clips from the game.

Man.. this game's really gone up in value. I'm never selling this one. One of my absolute favorite games.. it's definitely in the top 5 along with Final Fantasy IV, Indigo Prophecy, Earthbound and Illusion of Gaia. I have a feeling that either Gaia or FF4 will be unthroned once Heavy Rain comes out, though.

//e: fuck mini ninjas. Bring on Hitman and Freedom Fighters! FF was awesome!

Snatcher is an amazing game. I'm actually replaying it now. What really amazes me is just how good the voice acting is considering when the game was made.

And yes, we need a new Freedom Fighters.

I wish they'd go ahead and re-release it. Someone made the opening intro (all the way through the introductions at Junker HQ) for the DS called Snatcher Pilot.. you can play it if you have a homebrew device. It's pretty impressive.

I think I'm going to play through it again.

Ninja Blade was made by From Software , which makes it a ok in my book (but I know very few people will agree with me in that regard). I picked it up for $20 from TRU and plan to play it right after I finish up a few other games I'm working on.

-------------

Snatcher does need a re-release , so does Policenauts.

Was browsing NeoGAF and saw the Viva Pinata 2 thread. Makes me think back to the days when my brother played VP on our 360 and somehow got a Wildcard Pinata from breeding. There is a 1/1,000,000 chance you get a Wildcard and every week I would get 2-3 messages from random people wanting the Wildcard. My brother said the Wildcard just dissappeared from his garden but I guess the online leaderboards still said we had one.
Shit, policenauts just needs an initial release! I can't believe they canned it after fully translating it. The fan translation, however, is nearing a beta stage :whee:
Has the game ever been re-released in japan , or just the original release on the playstation?
Being offended is just weakness in your faith, dude. If you search your scripture, you'll find that Christ never took offense at what others did to him, only at other's actions against God himself. EA may have attacked Christians in their tasteless promotion, but I do not see this as an attack against God. Offenses lie in our mind, not in the words and actions of others. No one can insult you or hurt you verbally unless you allow it to happen. There is a unique kind of freedom that comes from deciding not to allow the hurtful words and mean actions of others to control us. Simply by you coming here and saying "I'm offended!" you have fallen under EA's control. You are doing exactly what it is that EA wants you to do, and that is talk about their game and give it publicity, wheter it is negative, positive, or neutral.

Amen, brother.

What's Freedom Fighters like? And what is the definite version? Always hear good things about it, but never got to play it.

I always liked the XBox version of Freedom Fighters better, but I couldn't tell you why. It's a third person shooter where you and a few recruits take over each level. The end of the level is when you reach the enemy's flag and raise the US flag up.

The gameplay actually feels very, very similar to Kane and Lynch, if you've ever played that.

The warden from Superjail.

Metacritic lists the :gc: version with the highest score , Gamerankings lists the :ps2: version. Gamespots review says the PC version is the best.

That doesn't really help you much at all does it?

:whistle2:o That's a lot of policenauts.

Anyone ever play Freedom Fighters on their 360? How does it run with the BC? I know that can be shaky sometimes.

Also, thanks Starknight for clearing those things up. You da man.

I'm eager to see Conduit reviews this week. I really think it's going to be awful, but I hope, hope, hope and want it to be awesome. But it likely will not be.
Isn't being offended by EA making fun of the stereotype confirm the stereotype that Christians are so easy to offend? They're not really making fun of all Christians, just the fanatics that do those kinds of protests.

The protest was so obvious that it wasn't real because most every sign there had the EA logo drawn on it, whereas normal protesters wouldn't bother with such details.
Exactly! (Sorry few pages back - fathers day...)

But, it wasn't "obviously fake" if you were there - just passing by I didn't take a hard look at everything so I assumed it was real. But, it did do what it was set out to do, it got a ton of people waiting in line for Dantes (which looks amazing). I'm pretty sure it was to get people to come watch the private screening, not for those not in attendance.

Right now I'm sort of having a PS3 craze. I started playing Uncharted again and Killzone 2. The first time I tried playing Killzone I hated the controls and didn't play it again. Now I really like it. It's like Call Of Duty mixed with the covering system of Gears of War.
I also haven't beaten Uncharted yet, but I'm like 40% through right now and I have no reason to stop playing.

As a sidenote, I have the new Prince of Persia coming in the mail soon via Goozex.

I played it at E3... and I can say for myself, it was really bad. But, I only played a little bit of it - so who knows!

And I felt the controls to be awkward...

Yea same here. And I have actually gotten a little addicted to Trophies...

I think that's the point.

Just look at what the achievement's called.

I don't understand why people are hyped about The Conduit to begin with - it's looked like shit from the getgo. Wii really needs a good game, so the hype machine started rolling behind it. It's going to be a sub-par shooter with mediocre controls and it'll quickly blend in with the rest of the Wii lineup. Anytime I ask someone about the Conduit, the first thing they say is "Oh, that's the game that's supposed to be the best looking Wii game, right?"

Really? Really? The game looks like ass and ffs, the guy's floating in the third picture. His legs are straight so he doesn't appear to be jumping.

I dunno. I don't want to completely dismiss the game, I do like to give every game a chance to prove itself.. but I'm not expecting anything above a 6 for this game.

Yes, it sadly is the best looking Wii game.

Kidding - I've seen much better. When I played it, it looked like complete ass... but that was after seeing Mass Effect 2.
I've been wearing my Mass Effect 2 shirt (I lied, if the game shirt looks good I'll wear it) here is what it looks like:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Mass-Effect-2-E...66:2|39:1|72:1205|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50

I like it =)

You could always try the woman's section. Kidding!

A small? Really? Crazy. But I do agree the XL and XXL is ridiculous. Sony sends me that Patapon tshirt in an XL and it is huge! What the hell they think I am?! Wombat!?

 yeah, most gamers I find are either overweight or overly skinny... no real middle ground...

All the actual gaming shirts I'd wear are never in my size. The Patapon one was one of them :(

Screenshots aren't necessarily a good indicator. Look at the Metroid Prime games. They look like crap in screenshots, but look awesome in motion. It's just an uninspired location is all.
first thing I see on DSi I actually would want (other than that other pixel puzzle game)...
The only DS game I'm interested in right now (other than Scribblenauts of course) is Marker Man Adventures. I can't believe it's getting no buzz whatsoever.

I think it had promise, and it might still turn out good. I think it's more than hype machine for wii.

The same thing happens to.. oh, I dunno, EVERY SINGLE ps3 exclusive? PS3 fans were hailing LAIR when that came out.. eww.

I think the difference is that Lair and Haze came from teams with a history of relatively well-reviewed games, whereas High Voltage has a long history of absolute garbage.

Dang, my auction sold 10 minutes after I posted it. (endwar, game only)
Just need Nascar 09 to sell now.

Boxlife for DSiWare today, game looks great, and half of the main reason I wanted a DSi in the first place.
The Flipper game ReRo posted looks interesting but I can't tell what you do.
