You already beat it twice with 100% and 13%? :whistle2:s
I beat it once with 100%, then once with 12% (which took roughly 90 minutes)
I think I'm going to buy this in the next few weeks. I got promoted at work and it's time to upgrade from the shitty widescreen LCD i'm using.

Although the 720p model is $200 less and at that size I can't see 1080p making a huge difference.. And I could go buy it tomorrow in 720p..
Nice, and honestly, I'd just get the 720p set at that size/price. Especially for $200 less.

Yeah, I've been doing some research and that seems to be the way to go.

Seems that plasmas will be harder to get in coming years and probably more expensive. $650 is a damn good price for a 42' hdtv.

I've also read that a 1080p set is downscaling 720p content so it might introduce extra lag. Not good.

You mean it's upscaling lower res content right? But yeah, that's normal.
360 scales everything to your max res anyway.

Plasma production is slowing down sadly.
A real shame as it's superior to LCD, especially for games.

I have the 720p model of that TV and I absolutely love it.

I didn't even really sequence break it. I also spent about 10 minutes at one place because it confused me. I also kept switching the difficulties quite a bit, and while the game time doesn't advance on the map it does while paused. So I probably wasted another 15 minutes just sitting at the menu (lunch). It would've been 11% if I didn't pick up that one Health Container. But it did help.

Trials is awesome.

Found a new podcast-listenin game. Gonna try to do that with overlord but the dialog is actually kinda clever.

First late night of gaming in several months. Powered threw the last 3/4ths or so of FEAR 2.

Good game, though it got a bit frustrating toward the end, and the ending blew.

I'm going to be deleting all of my friends off of my Xbox Live account and redoing it (I have like 20-30 people I have no idea who they are). So, if I send any of you an invite (XBL: DarknessBearx) please accept! Har har.

Anyone in the GGT been through Resi 5 on Professional by themselves (no co-op partner)?

I've just started but I'm wondering if its going to be too frustrating.
Best Buy Canada is gonna have Batman:Arkham Asylum for $38.XX with the official strategy guide :)
Because Canadians need the extra halp from the strategy guide?

I kid only because I love you canada.

Hmm. I have all day to play games. Maybe I'll get back into MvC2 like i've been meaning too.

You will not be saying that when you hit the extreme levels. I'm positive that the last two were designed to be physically impossible to complete.

Damn, I know how that moment feels. Here's to a quick and speedy repair! :D

That sucks.. say goodbye PS2 BC..

Gonna go buy that panny plasma today! Pumped!

What really sucks for you here is that you're probably far out of warranty. My 60gb console died 10 months into it's lifespan, so I at least got Sony to cover the replacement of the BR drive.

Enjoy your 80GB software BC refurb!

Haha, I'll probably go the heatgun route just to back up everything and get some more playtime, but I find it ironic that my 60GB craps out on me just a couple days before the slim PS3 release day. Sony played me!
That sucks.. say goodbye PS2 BC..
Yea...now I'll have to bust out my slim PS2 again. There is no way to get my PS2 saves from my HDD back to a Memory Card is there?

Memory card adapater.

I always assumed that was just a one-way process. Well at least I still kept that around

It was at first. One of the firmware updates changed that.

Oh cool, now if I can get through the reflow fix without a hitch, all that's left is to back everything up and pick up a slim PS3.

The timing couldn't be weirder (or in my state, better )

At least I have a reason to break out my PS2, it's just been sitting on a shelf for the longest. Now I'll be playing some beatmania :p

I have the 720p model and it's wonderful. I'm extremely happy with it. No lag, great blacks, great color.

My only complaint, and apparently this is something kinda standard now, is that there's no RCA audio out--only digital. So I'd have to buy a digital to RCA adapter to hook up my non-digital speakers. Or hook the speakers straight to my 360 and not have volume control (no thanks.)

Well i got the panny, gonna set it up in a bit. super excited!

What game should I play first? I think SF4 is the top candidate, followed by CoD4 and RE5 for looking damn good with darks.

I really like the Panasonic Plasma TVs, they look awesome.

Does anybody else get hand cramps after playing 360 for a while (CoD 4 specifically)? I play PS2, SNES, Gamecube and DS all the time and I never get such cramps.
Mini Ninjas was terrible mak.
Well, good enough for babies. Can't believe io made that game.
Why do you hate fun? It was so good I played it again but on the 360 and its even better. I love it. Seems like it would be an XBLA/PSN game though.

My hand cramps on the DS3, but not really with the 360 controller (granted I haven't played COD on the 360). Trials HD is an exception to that, but thats based more on the nature of the game, not the controller.

I just found a huge problem with the computer I built for my brother. When you are playing a game (and only when your playing a game) the computer uses a built in mobo speaker to play music, as well as through your speakers. updated all my drivers etc, no luck. fuck.
You should calibrate your TV first with something like Avia to start jer.
I used the somewhat meager one in the Halo 3 bonus disc, it didn't really require much tweaking. I hear on plasmas to lengthen the life of the screen it's best to set the contrast as low as you're comfortable with. I've got mine at 40 now.
I'll have to play the Mini Ninjas demo before I agree with anyone.
I don't. I say the game is fantastic! It has Ninja's, but not just any ninja's. They're not full-sized a.k.a. mini ninja's!!

GOTY.
