Yep. I see the appeal. But you have to have interest in:

1. Making content
2. Playing through user created content.

I have neither, so this type of game doesn't nothing for me. I don't even use character creators in games like Mass Effect or SCIV. I just like to jump in and play. And I only care about playing through a polished single player mode with at least some semblance of a story and clear goals, so I have no desire to play through random user created levels.
 
Just finished Hotel Dusk and wow what an amazing game. Left a few pieces unexplained though which made me sad but loved it overall. Not sure what to play now until next week when LBP hits.
 
Wow, nice professional behavior from a mod.

LP closes the OTT after 500 posts and lets the new one have a stupid name, after telling GGT not to close after 500 posts as CAG can handle more now, and to keep the titles generic and the same from post to post.

And to top it off he bashed the GGT in the thread.

I really don't care much about this nonsense, but it's frustrating to see such behavior from a mod. And it will go on with nothing changing and I'll probably get an infraction or silenced for this post and my post in the OTT. :roll: Forums just start to suck when you have mods that have nerd grudges against some members.

But I'm honestly starting to not give a shit as this site is heading down a path that DVD Talk, another forum I used to frequent, was when I decided to ask them to close my account as I was tired of bickering with the nazi mods all the time.

It's not any weaker than most games out there. There's no denying I'll probably never create a level myself, but going back through levels collecting with friends and I, along with user created levels and even editing levels is an endless amount of fun IMO.

I'm seriously tempted to buy Dead Space tomorrow. Only thing holding me back is the length. 60 bucks for a 12 hour game is meh.

Slowly Linkin has taken out most of the ggt these past 2 days.

OT: Played some The Witcher. Only at the beginning but seems like a good game from what I've heard and played so far.

Little Big Planet is not going to be the be-all-end-all that Sony fans want you to believe it is. The game really is a lot more shallow than you would think, and unless Media Molecule gets around to adding the ability to change the player characters' look, controls, and abilities, the game will always be limited in what you can do in the creation tools.

I think they really missed a chance to have the game be fully creative and even more unique. Since you're always playing the same sackboy who jumps the same height and has the same abilities, he's ultimately going to start feeling the same, no matter how many levels users make.

I just came to the realization that I'll be playing Fallout 3 in a week.

Fuuuuuck, you can't use a promotion on your amazon account if everything you buy is from 3rd pary sellers. As in, I have a credit from the COD5 fiasco. I wanted to order street fighter, but it wouldn't apply the discount. Added The Witcher from amazon, and the discount applied.

No cheap SFA for me.

I want to finish Onimusha, but this last boss is a tough mofo!

I got some cheap old games from GS today, Max Payne for $2.50, Sly Cooper, Maximo, and Onimusha 2, all for like $4 apeice.

I think you're stuck with it since you don't really have a way to tell if he is already in the process of shipping it--at least, he could always say something to the effect of "sorry, but I already mailed it to you".

No, he just pm'ed me and said it wouldn't be shipped till tomorrow or thursday.

I don't mind taking people a while to ship, I jsut don't want the game.
 
Man, doing a paper on steroids is incredibly boring! I'm researching shit I already know just so I can have sources. And my partner is yet to return my email/text messages. I'm pretty pissed about that too.

Are any of you guys planning on getting Saints Row 2 :ps3:? If so, I think we'll need a GGT Gang.
