Go ahead and laugh, it's cool. I can take it. :)

What am I going to play today? 3S on GGPO? VF5 360? SCIV PS3? All of them? Yes. . .

I have beaten Xenosaga Ep 2. That damn final boss fight took me over an hour and a half, but I finally managed to whup him. I'm looking forward to Ep 3 now, but next I'm gonna play Eternal Sonata.

perhaps i should have clarified... i was laughing at the "hell no, wii sucks."

Truth, Wii does suck. I was hoping they would change Animal Crossing enough for me to get it, but I suspect they haven't. Missed opportunity IMO.

Finished all the Time Trials on Psychotic difficulty in Crackdown last night, was quite good fun actually. Nice 100 cheesemint for it.

Ahahahah I forgot some games on my ABSOULTE SUPERBUY LIST:
Gears Of War 2 (360)
Fallout 3 (360)

Thats really it from what I can think of, but those are the ones that I just really want before the year is over.
There are also quite a few good looking games as well. I still don't have NG2!
did you take out the punk son? ;)
Oh I totally did. The game is getting so good.

But I'm getting kinda of anxious. I have a midterm in an hour and I have no idea what it's covering... Ugh! I think I'll be able to bullshit a C+ or a B.

Damn, I really want these:

So, can anyone supply me with a little advice? I'm picking up GH:WT bundle this weekend, but I want to get another guitar so I have the full band. They aren't releasing standalone guitars rightaway (as far as I know), so should I pick up the old GH3 guitar or a RB2 guitar? I hated the Rock Band one guitar, but I haven't had a chance to use the new one, so I don't know if they've changed it enough for me to enjoy it.

OMG someone new! Shun him make him feel like an outsider!

Just kidding. Welcome to the GGT! I saw something on the new GH:WT guitars. It looked like they have a touch pad and was used to tap out the close notes. I would wait for the GH:WT guitars and see if what I saw made it into the final spec of the guitars. I honestly haven't followed them much at all. Hope someone can help out better.
Holy shit!

The ska news is what I care about. I swear if they put in any streetlight manifesto I will suck the dick of every employee there, and if they do the full album of Keasbey Nights I'll tickle their assholes too.
The article seems more dedicated to adding country rather than anything else. But I am sure as hell glad that they remember that Ska exists!

Catch 22! *wets self*

Guitar Hero World Tour announces new instruments: banjo, milk jug, cow bell, trombone, trumpet, tuba, violin, cello, and turntables.

I've posted before... just not frequently, and basically only on Tuesdays and Thursdays when I'm in class all day and bored. Too much to keep up with otherwise. I don't know how you guys find time to game AND read everything that gets posted here.

I love watching that one MvC2 video with yipes doing his commentary. ITSSS MAHHHVEELLLL BAAAYYY-BEEEEEEEEE! Hopefully it makes its way to XBLA/PSN and everybody lives happily ever after.
We don't have a fighter thread anymore, right? I would've posted this there instead, but whatever.

I'd recommend a Les Paul (GH3), or an Xplorer (GH2). I've had an Xplorer since GH2 came out and never had any problems with it, but I use my RB2 guitar a lot more now.

I'm 360-less, so the Xplorer is out. I've always liked the GH guitars (Red Octane knows how to make them :)), and if the RB2 guitar's buttons feel the same as the original, I'm not interested at all. I'll probably head down to gamestop and see if I can't find a GH3 to hold me over until I pick up the next model with GH5/RB3. ;)

Yeah, just saying, not like I'm brand new. *new sparkly shine*

I miss Purdue so badly and want to go back. :whistle2:(

One day I'll have you on my PSN buddy list so we can play RB2 and such (I'll be getting the game no doubt, already have the first).
Did Eternal Sonata PS3 come out yet? I didn't get a call from "Aeris" or whatever that slut's name from GS is now.
I preordered the game, so I'm waiting to get a call this evening. I'll be picking up my copy tomorrow. Although it sucks I gotta go to GameStop three weeks in a row.

This week:
Eternal Sonata

Next week:
LBP

Third week:
Resistance 2
Valkyria Chronicles

The other games I want such as MotorStorm: PR, SingStar Vol. 2, Naruto: UNS, Rock Band 2 (PS3), and so on, I will buy them during Meijer sales.
Are you talking about the GameStop on Wabash Landing? I made SO many preorders there. I'll never forget the school year, when I was working, I made 15-20 preorders there. The manager at the time, Aaron, knew my name very well.

I still wonder if Chris (he has kind of a light brown or blondish color hair and wears glasses most of the time, hair is usually spiked), Ryan (who use to work at the GameStop in my hometown, then transferred to the one near my college. Weird seeing an employee I know transfer stores two hours away) still work there, and Jeremy (short, somewhat chubby guy, I believe he's Latino). They probably still remember my name there.

I am so glad I got the LE of Fable II. Not only did it not come in a nice case and have some sweet collectibles in it. But the fucking codes for the LE content isn't even in my box. What a bunch of cunts.

Just when you thought the Fable II LE couldn't fail any worse.

It's been reported on Joystiq, Kotaku etc so you're not the only one. You should call 1-800-XBOX apparently, or maybe Ghostbusters.
I'd call Ghostbusters, cos they're ready to believe you.

Yeah, that one. Chris is the manager now (at least I think he is), but I don't about the others. I can say that's about the only gamestop I've ever been in where the employees aren't incompetent and actually seem to care, rather than just making the sale. I can't say the same for the other two on the other side of town.

You'll have to tell me how Eternal Sonata is, I'm interested, but I've got way too many games to play right now. Currently working on Megaman Legends, and after that I'm on to SMT: Nocturne, Super Mario Galaxy, and TWEWY. I've still got NiGHTS unplayed, GH and RB will devour hours of my time, and I want RA3, Fallout3, and Valkyria Chronicles. Less school, more gaming.

That's why I didn't mind making every single one of my game purchases there even if I had to pay more. The staff there was excellent. I've pretty much liked most every manager there, from the first Chris, John, Aaron, Jason, and another Chris. I still remember when the store opened during finals week, back in May 2004.

Next time you see Chris (I'll tell you the details via PM), you'll have to see if he still remembers me (I use to be the one purchasing/preordering tons of games on PS3 and PSP).

Haha, I know how Purdue can keep you busy and not have much time for gaming. I will still never forget my busiest semester ever (early 2006) when several big PS2 RPG releases came out. I bought all of them, but had no time to play them all. Many of the games ended up being sold or traded-in. :whistle2:( I preordered almost everyone at that EB location (It was EB before the merger) and picked them all up.

I'll let you know for sure about Eternal Sonata. I loved the game before, so I can't wait to play it on PS3.

Lastly, have you ever heard of the Purdue Music Group (use to be known as the DDR Club)? Since you are into music games, I was curious if you ever heard of them. I was a member of the club when it first started in 2005 (I was technically the first paying member). Some of its original members graduated, but some are still around Purdue and know my name well. It sucked because they had their nights on Friday, when I was busy with homework (but I went to events on Saturday if something was going on).

Eternal Sonata for 360 is pretty solid. I love the battle system and the amazing art direction. While the story is pretty straightforward, the premise is somewhat obtuse, and might be trying a bit too hard with the melodrama. To me, the game borrows from and flows somewhat like Radiata Stories and other tri-Ace games (although the dev is actually tri-Crescendo, a separate company started by the former sound guy for tri-Ace), but in a generally good way. I decided to go with the PS3 version due to the additional characters and content.

Last I heard, they were the DDR club, which was like a sub club of PUGG (Purdue Gamers group). I've never personally gone, as it just never seemed like they did much. They had a LAN this past weekend, but I didn't attend as it was small, and I've got my own LAN party to prepare for coming up (I'm staff in charge of Source/Steam games at AsylumLAN).

As for PUGG, they use to be a sub group of PUGG (back in early 2005 and before), but then they created their own group. I remembered that because that's when I joined the PUGG forums (one of my friends referred me there). I know some of the people in PUGG also and sometimes still post at their forum (mostly for the fighting game group, but most all have graduated). They still send me emails about LAN parties too.

Lol, to get back on the topic a little, I just played a little RB and Guitar Hero III this morning. I didn't advance very far, but I still played. Too bad I'm not at Purdue still because I would have given you one of my guitars for PS3 cheap. :p

I just found someone who wanted to buy my PS3.. lol.

I now have a wii, 4 remotes+Nunchuks, a 360 elite, super smash bros brawl, and Devil May Cry 4 in exchange for my 80GB PS3 MGS4 bundle.

fuck. Yes.

Yeah I'm going to sell both. I have a friend looking for an xbox 360.

I love the Wii. Both are going to be easier to sell than that fucking Playstation 3 was. Nobody wants those things.

I'm bored too, but I just woke up, so I have an excuse.

Seeing Fable 2 reviews and hearing about it make me want to go play Fable again, since I won't be getting Fable 2 for a while. Last time I played it, I did the trading exploit and leveled up a bit before I did the first quest. Makes it so easy when you have bad ass armor and augmented weapons before the first quest. :)

Well, I'm back from my week suspension....

Gaming wise I started Oblivion this week, and have put in 13 hours. I'm liking it but not totally enthralled. I prefer RPGs with more story like the Bioware games, but this is still damn good as there's so much to do. Doubt I'll finish it anytime soon though.

Non-gaming news I caught a damn cold at a terrible time as I have to academic job interviews next week that I need to prepare for. Spent all afternoon suit shopping which sucked balls with a cold...

Welcome back dmaul.

Oblivion isn't the kind of game you really finish, unless you absolutely have tons of time to dedicate to it. I usually just run around and kill shit now, and explore. My nord chick is like level 40 and pretty much unstoppable.

Colds suck.

Yeah, I'll probably try and finish at least all the main story quests, I'll never finish everything. Doubt I'll bother buying the DLC either.

I have the PC version with all of the DLC. KotN and SI for 8 bucks each at Target. ;)

There are so many mods for the PC version that you always have something to do. . .

Yeah, I've just never been into PC games. I spend so much time on PCs with my work, goofing online etc. that I just can't stand sitting down at one to game.
