Ahhh... so you never really gave it a chance... ;( Time is very important(I hate missing out on so many games....) The first 2 hours of Persona don't really put you into the main game/daily routine... and that is when I really started to like/love it.

Hopefully you give it a shot later on down the road... it really is a polished title.

I traded in my regular edition P3 (kept the artbook and soundtrack though) recently since I have still have FES unopened, and unplayed. I'll get to it someday, since it's been so long since I've played it.
I also traded in my P3 and kept the big box, art book, and CD. My FES fits just right in it. :)
Me too! I wonder who upgraded from the original copy who didn't do that? :)

And lvl53 last night. 2 lvls away from Lich King Death Knight!
For the past 3 hours I have been whoring it up and making my houses better. I think I have 2 kids at least now, one from a threesome. I wonder if the next Fable will have Maurry and his DNA tests.
Dammit man, they do sell condoms in the game ya know! ;)

I guess with all the cash rollin' in, you don't need to worry too much about child support. :)

Any of the alleged STDs crop up yet?
I've read that and Coyote Blue.
--

Man, Dead Space is just as fantastic as I thought it would be. I'm almost through chapter 3... having ammo/inventory problems though.
Awesome! I finished A Dirty Job today (amazing) and I'm going to start Coyote Blue tonight or tomorrow. Looking forward to it. A Dirty Job was my first.

Also, glad to hear Dead Space is great.
I'm thinking as to whether I should start Fable 2 or Dead Space right now. I think it'll be Fable 2.

Lolll I sold multiple copies of P3 for around $70-80 back then.

I played about 15 hours of FES and had enough. It was okay, but I can't keep my attention with it long enough. 15 hours for $30 was fair, though.

I decided I only trade to GameStop when it's flipped games from blockbuster that I bought with credit from flipped games from GameStop.

Seriously. I wish I could get Fable 2 and Banjo Kazooie yet. Those are the only two I haven't budgeted into the holiday. Maybe for christmas.
I assume they'd have still given you $11 if you'd kept the book and CD, something to bear in mind for the future I guess.
They would have. I considered, but I'm the type who hates having junk around (I've probably thrown out some bonuses and gave them to Goodwill). I like to have as little stuff as possible, just how I am.
TMK, the next time you consider taking your good PS2 RPGs to GameStop, run them by me first. I am interested in them. :^D
Will do. I've traded in games at GameStop, but not the RPGs. I tend to gives CAGs a first shot on them.

My Digital Devil Saga collection might go. :hot: Who knows. ;) Maybe I should trade that into GameStop. :p
Just kidding, really bad move
I believe the term you're looking for is butt-raped
I rather have $11 than it sitting on my shelf un-played getting $0. I considered selling it on CAG, but didn't really push it hard because once you figure in shipping, paypal fees, and so on, I'd probably make $2-$3 more, and there's still the chance I'd be scammed (and after being scammed, I'm more likely to trade stuff into GS because being out $60 of games still hurts me now).

Tonight I'll be playing Wipeout HD online with some. Not sure what else I'll play tonight.

From Ubisoft conference call concerning the casual market:

38% sales coming from casuals.
Casuals games: more marketing, less development

that's absurd to think that 40% of Ubisoft's profits are coming from those god forsaken imagine titles and PETZ.

I have Persona 3 saved up for a rainy day. It's so damn long though, I think 10 hours in I only got to the first full moon.

Great game, just no time.

Probably some fable 2 this afternoon, and then dead space tonight!

Gamefly credited. I'm very happy. If I get the bundle from amazon, the credit will pay off LBP and buy me Gears 2 (or something else, not sure If I want to do the midnight thing for gears to get the golden hammerburst.)

Are you kidding? That stuff is like crack. My daughter wants a petz game everytime we go to the store. I haven't caved in yet but I'm sure there are thousands of parents that do.

A Dirty Job was, on the whole, stronger than Coyote Blue -- however, Coyote Blue, oddly enough, is sort of the predecessor to A Dirty Job (in a way).

I'd say Dead Space, but either way, I hear the main quest of Fable 2 will end up being about as long as Dead Space anyhow... ;)
not sure If I want to do the midnight thing for gears to get the golden hammerburst.
Why?

I think the reviews for Fable 2 have put it as an eventual must buy for me.

I won't get it right away as I don't have a lot of time for games right now, and Gears 2 will take up a lot of that soon. Plus I just started Oblivion so that has my RPG needs covered for a long time. I'll pick Fable 2 up sometime next year when it's on sale for $40 or less or I can get it off of Goozex (already through it on my requests list).

A couple of my friends are going to the midnight launch of gears for the golden gun, but it's cheaper on amazon.

I meant why bother for the golden gun? What's the point?

I just picked up Castlevania. The GS employee said they've already sold out and I got my copy from their second shipment that came in today. :hot:

TMK, you say you don't like having stuff around but don't you own hundreds of games? How much are those making you? Seriously man, either sell your backlog or stop buying new games and play them.

I think I've got about 2 hours of story left in Saints Row. I think I may actually beat it tonight :whee:

Once I'm done SR, I'm going to put more time into SCIV until I can justify a new game. I'm thinking of getting Fable 2, but I don't know if I want to run the risk of my 2nd replacement 360 red ringing on me...

I believe I am 2/3 of the way through Fable II. I spent a ton of money buying up the town. I have almost a million dollars in real estate. Now I gotta get better furniture in the shop. But I think I kinda screwed that up. I married the shop lady and she is in Oakplace and not in Bowerstoned. Oops. Gotta teleport her back to the awesome city.

I guess I caught one STD in the game. I did have a foursome. And one kid was a result of a threesome with two other guys in one of my husband's house. Such a whore!
Did you end up giving up on Disgaea Ahadi?
I'm throwing it on the back burner. It really isn't doing much for me. It may end up back at gamestop sooner than later.

Right now I'm down to just over 300 games (I've been trying to find stuff to ditch). If I can get under 300, then that's amazing. So in reality, I don't have all that many games, since I've cut back a lot (but still want less, just trying to decide what to not keep).
Theres a really cool game called GET A JOB :) Play it :)
I heart TMK.
I will start heavily looking again if I pass a certain test on Halloween. ;) That will make getting a job a bit easier. For now I'll just be a bum, play video games and post on CAG. :D

I played a little more Eternal Sonata. Right now I'm downloading stuff off of the PS Store, since it's Thursday. :)

A certain test?
Are you taking the state test to be a public engineer?

I'll tell you one thing though
It did absolutely nothing for my job prospects. -_-;

I'm still looking at that article on kotaku where that Korean chick left the PR department of Guitar Hero to be a Playboy model. Smokin' hot.

300+ games still seems crazy to me. I currently have 20-25 and 5 or so of those are listed on Goozex and more will be when I finish them.

But I know some people like to collect stuff and/or replay games, and I do neither.
For those who NES care about NES the well being NES of JSP, my SAT scores happened:

Not bad? I don't what the scale is for SAT. I only took the ACT

Fable 2 tonight!

Finally got a R2 beta code. I pretended I didn't care about getting one since the game is coming out in 2 weeks, but I'm pretty happy I do have it now.

Now I just have to play the waiting game since it looks to take forever to download.

Any of you guys get one? Looks like if you signed up for one you'll most likely get one.

I flip-flop on the subject. Somedays I'd be completely content with my dreamcast and my fighting games, other days I wish I had a ton more than what I do have. I'm sitting in around 250-280 games total. The only ones I really "collect" are DS games, which I've got around 40+.

300 games? I have like 35, excluding DLC. The only reason I have half of them is because they aren't worth enough to sell.

Shit, with DLC it's only like 50.

See, I just seldom every replay games so I just see no point in keeping them around once I beat them. Of course there are exeptions with multiplayer games etc.

It's not like movies or cds where I'll watch/listen to them repeatedly over the years. I'd always rather play a new game than replay an old one. So for me there's just no use to keep them around.

I completely understand that, I have friends that usually don't own more than like, 10 games at a time. Always buying, beating, trading. What astonishes me though, is DVD collections that some people have. I guess I'm a little odd in the sense that I absolutely don't care for movies, so when I see this couple that's a friend of mine of 4 bookshelves full of Anime and DVD's (well over 500+ movies total), I'm just in awe at how many movies they own. I own like, 20 DVD's and that's it. 15 of them are wrestling ones at that.

Yeah I have 300+ dvds and 300+ cds. But I watch movies and listen to music a lot more than a play games. Those will always be in my life. I don't know if I'll keep gaming beyond this generation when I'll be much busier starting next year and probably have to cut back on hobby time.

Question, when I claim the game on saturday, how long will it take yf360g to send it to me? I want to use the credit on LBP, but seeing as how that ships super soon it's probably not happening. :(

I'm pretty proud of myself, it's looking like I'll be able to get Gears, the World Tour Bundle, Rock Band 2, and LBP for like 190 bucks out of pocket. It will be less if I can find a buyer for World Tour.

I'll pick up fallout when my giftcards from Gears and LBP come in. I'd consider the game worth 40 bucks.

Shit, with DLC it's only like 50.
Well, let's say around 50 or so of those games are downloads on PSN/XBL/Wii.

Well, despite the games I have, I only have 4 DVDs (two anime, one movie, one TV program)

Anyway, like whoknows, I got into the R2 beta an hour or so ago. Interesting because I preordered the game yesterday, along with Valkyria Chronicles.

I'm also happy that Meijer has 15% sale this Saturday, so I will be buying Rock Band 2.

No matter how you try to spin it, 300 games is absurd. Cut that down to 30 or less. No wonder you say you have money problems.

I just put in around an hour on Castlevania and I'm loving it so far.

I'm just getting Gears from Amazon (used a $25 GC, and got in the $10 GC with preorder) and asked for the DS Castlevania for my B-day next month, so my wallet is happy.

That'll probably be it, may put a game or two on my X-mas list, but may not as that will keep me busy, along with just starting Oblivion, needing to start Sonic Rush etc.

Definitely want Fable 2 at some point, and maybe Fallout 3 (depending on reviews/impressions) but Oblivion has my RPG needs covered for the time being. I want to get Dead Space as well, but that can wait for a match on Goozex. Other than that I don't see much. The Call of Duty 5 beta isn't impressing me. Far Cry 2 isn't for me as I don't like open world games much (outside of RPGs). Unless I'm forgetting something on the 360/DS there just isn't much else that interests me.
What made you give up? You make me not want to open my copy.
I just feel like I'm running in quick sand when I'm playing. I need to level my guys up, and when I work on grinding, I just feel like I get no where. And the story is really neat  I dig it a lot, but the over all game to me leaves a dry taste in my mouth. And that sucks to say, because I really really wanted to like Disgaea.

That's the thing with Disgaea: you have to love (or not mind) constant grinding to stick with it. I enjoy grinding when things are kept interesting and entertaining, and Disgaea delivers; along with the story, the fun, grinding-heavy gameplay makes it one of my favorite games.

I hope you pick it up again after a decent-sized break from it. Too much Disgaea at once can be a bit draining, I'll admit.

I don't mind grinding in certain games. Like, I can grind for hours at a time in Pokemon/Mystery Dungeon, but like Disgaea's grinding just doesn't hook me. Maybe I'm not doing it right? I don't know... I'm pretty bummed about it, because the game is just so neat.

Saint's Row time! I hope I can finish off the story tonight... that would just be so good.

I have absolutely no patience for grinding. I could tolerate it when I was a kid, but not anymore. Gaming shouldn't feel like work.
