[quote name='ninja dog']The problem with MGS4 is that only about 25% of it actual metal gear stealth gameplay. There are like 5 actual sneaking maps...then the rest is run n' gun + mech action + shitty cut scene. Adding more to the ending would be a serious slap in the face--it was already an hour long and fairly bitter affair after getting cheated in Chapters 3,4, and 5.
They need to get back to the basics. MGS3 is the highpoint of stealth games, but the few sneaking maps in MGS4 are

You know, I totally agree with this too. It became way too much of a janky shooter shoehorned into an AMAZING stealth game engine. The fact that the last half of the game is barely playable is another huge annoyance. Kojima can create these impressive scenes, but won't ever let you play them? The frist couple chapters have some really impressive, memorable moments, and some great stealth sections, but it just falls apart too quickly to even consider it for GOTY material.
I suppose Ninja Dog is now a big fanboy too, because he doesn't get on his knees for Metal Gear Solid and Kojima too, right?
