I could do a 360 shove it on a skateboard a few years ago.

My brother could do a 360 flip out of a casper -_-

Also, Xenogears PW is amazing!

I'm not into it or like it much, but any inline skaters? I remember when that was huge here in miami.

saying that, that reminds me of this:

a_med_04b.jpg

played it like crazy when it was out. for the THPS copy game that it was, it was actually not bad.
I loved Agressive Inline so much!

The stage design was really neat!
some parts were hard as fuck to be honest.

just watched some red dwarf... makes me wish they'd make a Red Dwarf game using the Mass Effect engine... it seems like such a perfect universe for a game.
Sick.

Buddy put up his 10 Gripshifts and one guy in Japan bought them all for $500 just a few hours later.
I don't understand. Is the dollar that weak?

A modded PSP-3000 is not worth that much.

To some people it is, multiple sightings on ebay (completed auctions) were over $100 especially when news came out (on the 5th?).

I'll be trading mine on cag for a mint LBP (I think that's fair enough).

My main concern, though, does anyone have a spare Guitar Hero World Tour for PS3 (from the microcenter deal -- ends today). I'm willing to paypal $30. Also, I'd really appreciate the kindness. :)

Nobody will do that for a while...you can still find them everywhere for $7.99 at EB/GS. Also, you can easily buy them on Ebay for less than the price of a copy of LBP.

Then you have to hope no kernal exploit comes out so that the game retains its value.

Actually, somebody already arranged that they are going to do that. ;)

Check that blog I had up on gripshift.

Congrats. I'm glad you pulled through, even after I campaigned so hard against it

Finished Dead Space last night.

Muy disappointed overall. Story sucked (and the game should do the legwork for me, not say "MOAR STORY IF YOU BUY THE BLURAY, NOVEL, FLEXIDISC, COMIC BOOK, AND LUNCHBOX/THERMOS COMBO NAO!").

Soopa fun gameplay (why no quick 180 turn though?), a mostly beautiful environment, and a pretty hardcore sense of isolation. But it was not the breakthrough I expected based on people's recommendations.

The ending, though, was a pleasant surprise, and was pretty unexpectedly awesome, the rest of the story notwithstanding.

Thanks. :cool::bouncy:

Now I'm just searching for a GH: World Tour for $30 or less.
I've had 1 guy offer but that's it - no response to go from.

something bugged me about the ending
if your g/f is dead/necromorph who opened the doors for you? did the necromorph do it? were the doors really unlocked the whole time but Isaac was imaging they were locked?
i finished a one gun run on friday and that bugged the crap out of me.

That reminds me of the movie Starship Troopers. This guy who you might call a movie enthusiast that has all this classy shit also has this movie. He says if you read all these novels it actually gives you a different perspective on the movie. I said that thats an awful lot of prep work for a bad movie.
You're doing it wrong. ;)
 Yeah, I really am.

Oh, by the way. That um, thing I was trying for you weeks back? Flat out not possible. Ticks me off because I thought I found a way, but it's worked into the parameters that it just can't be done. :bomb:
I'm not into it or like it much, but any inline skaters? I remember when that was huge here in miami.
Used to have fun inlining around Boston years back. Not all the time, but one weekend every few months in the warmer months.

Well, I'm looking forward to playing it, but I appreciate the note about the story. That's teh lamerz, yo.

I tried the demo for the first time yesterday. Can you pull the camera view back in game? I know it sounds petty but I'm not sure I could take a full game of that zoomed in 3rd person view. It felt like my character was blocking half the screen. :whistle2:?

Look at the first letter of every chapter's name. Pretty cool I thought.

It does that on purpose to limit your view to make you more nervous while playing, it also let's you see the gorgeous graphics.

No, but you do acclimate to it eventually.

woah. pretty cool indeed. It's shame there really appears to be a lot of depth to the story (the downloadable comics, video, little things like that, etc. - and is there a novel, or am I making things up?), but so very little of it appears in the game. But, hey, I'm not a huge fan of the Resident Evil storyline, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying those games.
Well, I'm looking forward to playing it, but I appreciate the note about the story. That's teh lamerz, yo.
You know, let me add a caveat. It's a relatively short game (8-12 hours per playthrough), and a solo-only experience. I'm trying (trying!) to play through the game on impossible difficulty. Paying attention to the story now, there's a lot of "oh, son of a BITCH I should have seen this or that all along!" kinds of clarity and revelation. So there is a story a good clip deeper than what you really pick up on the first playthrough. Which is cool, but an interesting design choice - really only allowing those who really get into the game to explore the story fully. It's not a forgiving title for the 'playthrough once and sell' crowd.

I'm just getting so tired of games that at one point had decent story telling/writing, and then go downhill. (leaping to mind halo & gears...)
no 180 degree turn is a bit janky in Dead Space. if you're going to rip RE4, do it all the way!
Meh. You move so fast in that game anyway that I never really felt like I needed one.

so is NGII worth $10? I'm getting The Orange Box (360) + $10 for the chun li artwork I did a month ago so I'll use that $10 for the ninja gaiden if people say its worth the moneez.
Everyone with a DS should play Soul Bubbles. It's good.
I played the demo and enjoyed it. don't know if it's worth a purchase though. isn't it $10 as well?

NG2 is pretty cool, at 10$ its a steal.

I was at my friends house earlier and he was playing dead space and I was like why arent you using the run button? "wut I didnt know you can run"....I've seen that several times on the internet as well, people saying the game sucks because its too slow.
Everyone with a DS should play Soul Bubbles. It's good.
I agree, beat it last week and it was well worth the price of $10 (even if it did come with a $10 gift card ;)). My personal favorite ds game of 2008, mainly because I'm no fan of rpgs 8-[.

As for Ninja Gaiden 2, pass it up Rolento. It seems like a good deal but unless you're of the type that has fun getting your ass kicked in a game. :hot:

I actually do like that. I know I'll die alot from the camera, but at least I'm expecting it.

$10 for NG2 is a great deal. If you liked black or sigma, you'd probably like 2.
Dead Space was thoroughly excellent and I didn't even notice there was no 180 turn button. Probably because it wasn't necessary.

It was, a few weeks ago. I think it's back to 20 now.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is worth $10, but the difficulty is a lot harder than the original. It's not tough but fair, mainly because of the camera. If it weren't for the regenerating health, it'd be unbearable, even at its' lowest difficulty.

really? that's a shame. I loved the challenge of the first. never played black, played a bit of sigma (first blu-ray to go in my PS3), but beat the original 100%.

I wish Sigma would hit $10. I want to have it, but not the GH version.

yeah, I've been on top of my local target but missed the month it went on sale due to no outside life for me at the time due to college.

I'd be all over that game.

This is what you'll get with NG2:

Warrior mode (normal mode) is easier than NG 1. The AI simply isn't as good, the weapons level up very quickly (you can have a fully powered Dragon Sword by the 2nd or 3rd level), and you'll have essentially unlimited money half way through the game. It's more based on packs of enemies. It's like if NG1 was a little more Dynasty Warriors-ish (lots of enemies who die quickly, but keep coming in droves and they eat tons of hits.) As a fighting game person, you'll quickly find the safe moves and blow through the game. That said, it is entertaining 'cause it's so darn gory and there are shitloads of weapons. Easily worth the $10 for that alone.

Mentor and Master Ninja are another story. Not fair by any stretch of the word. The AI is about the same as Warrior, but instead, every group of enemies has a sub group of projectile throwers with it--they tag you every time and kill you quickly. It's artificial difficulty in the worst sense of the word. Getting through it is not a matter of skill, but a matter of abusing a very, very narrow set of moves.
