also, I don't know what the GGT is smoking, Mario Kart Wii is awesome. Worth it for the online alone. Of course, I paid about $22 out of pocket for it after Amazon GC + selling the wheel.

Dunno what you're smoking. It's a big step back from DD and the DS version.

It was my favorite Wii game all year and it was the main reason I played my Wii thoughout the year. The Wii Wheel sucks, no doubt, but the game plays awesome with the nunchuk + remote. I do feel DD was atrocious though, and I badly wanted it too. Mario DS is great, but I give a slight edge to Mario Kart on Wii (just too much fun and online works great).

Now I'm debating what gaming sig/avatar will go up this week. I'll probably do Mana Khemia PSP or consider The Last Remnant.

As far as games are considered, R2 dominates my PS3 while Lost Odyssey dominates my 360.

this man speaks the truth!..though DD sucked balls

How? I'm not a hardcore MK fan, so all I see are better tracks, better graphics, and better online play. DS version is all snaking with more straightforward tracks.

I'm gonna agree with you -- when I played MKWii with Chika, I thought it was better than MK:DS -- and I wouldn't even go near DD after all the bad press and word of mouth it got.

I'd be all over that game.
 I love that movie! I wonder how it looks on Blu-Ray?

:bomb: I HATED playing MK DS online because of that.
How? I'm not a hardcore MK fan, so all I see are better tracks, better graphics, and better online play. DS version is all snaking with more straightforward tracks.
I played MK DS for about two hours... not sure why I still have it other than the small chance I'd play my friend online, but now that we have MK Wii, that's all we'd play in that situation.

Disgaea has remained sort of an awesome game for 37 hours, but I'm not excited about what seems like a couple hours of grinding ahead of me. I'm in the middle of Chapter 13, and I think I need to bump everyone up a few levels (they're at 50 now) to have a chance of surviving the fight against
Kurtis
. Doesn't seem like there's any really good spot to do said grinding quickly.

Oh shi--! TMK returns to the GGT. I played MK Wii for about 15 mins and it seemed more the of same to me. I was really into MKDS. Like, it was all I played for a couple months in the spring it came out. I might pick up the Wii one if I can find it cheap enough, like $20, but there are never good deals around here.

Buzz night! Goinng to finish P4 this week. Going to restart Fable II and continue with Valkyria Chronicles. GGT hates Fable, eh? Home is so better.

I haven't even seen Kungfu Hustle on Bluray anywhere yet.

My Dad's shitty blu-ray player broke when he was watching Wanted. Haha serves him right.

Fable II is just such a console rpg. so many artificial things going on in the morality aspect and the shittiest interface/menus I've seen in recent memory. Combat is kinda fun though.
I haven't even seen Kungfu Hustle on Bluray anywhere yet.
I believe it was one of the first blu-rays released.

I'm sure Fable II is great, but I really don't like the design. Sure gameplay is everything people say, but I still think graphics are a huge part of gameplay.

either that or gamefaqs is the most brilliant forum site ever.

qft but I'm still enjoying it.

Also I need something to play on breaks at school... Thinking I'll give Shut Up and Jam Gaiden a download. I here it is JEKKIAPPROVED

Fixed.

Also, I really like the art direction and design in Fable II. Some of the actual models and animation aren't so great though.

Double karts added new strategies, the tracks were better, the graphics were better and the weapons were better.

MKDS was basically MKWii, but portable with solid tracks. Snaking was online, but playing Nintendo games online doesn't count for much. I think I may have done 3-4 matches online in MKDS.

MKWii had terrible weapons, balance, tracks, graphics...

But it's all opinion :]
just like ur not sick of things other people think are getting old! :bouncy:
Six seasons, 24 episodes a season, that's 144 episodes, plus the movie, plus the new season now. And it's all the same -- they had some nice chances to do something good, but they just stick with the same "safe" formula every season. 8\ I really wanted to see them switch protagonists to Tony back around Season 4 or so, but they just decided to kill him instead. 8(

I dunno... it's like American Idol -- I don't understand how that's still on the air either.

Hell, when you're talking games, has anything really kept quality and gone on for that long? The megaman games, maybe. Super Mario Bros was only at like 4 or so, if you stick to console versions, with 1 spinoff (the lost levels)? DMC is up to 4. RE is up to 5 with spinoffs, but until 4 re-invented the way the game was done, people were complaining about it getting stale.

*Shrug*

Not shitting on you for liking it at all. It's still good for what it is -- I'm just amazed with how little the formula changes that people are still psyched to see more of it.

RE4.5 will make the series boring again..i actually loved the old style RE, you couldnt see wtf was coming at you...plus the silence just made it more creepier....RE4, ugh..Tom Cruise movie but he didnt get laid

well, Call of duty is super predictable now (in it's 6th game) people love it... tons of zeldas, people love it... final fantasy... people love it... etc..

you get the gist. things can go to shit, but that won't ruin it for everyone. even the shit is good for what it is sometimes. even the good stuff is shit. even what I'm saying is shit

and yeah, I hated the animation in FableI/II the most.

genna play some skate 2 after the show and try the park glitch.

The balance in MK Wii was what made me not like the game. I still have it but if the majority of the AI jumps in front of me the split second I make an error, that's not right or remotely fun. Mario Kart DS is Maio Kart king if you ask me, even if the online was flawed with "snakers" it was a blast all around (mission mode too).

Wish 24 wasn't spoiled for me  I've only seen S1 and the movie, ahh well...good stuff

Anyways, I've heard GH3 is compatible with Guitar Hero World Tour. My question is I've got the Rock Band 2 guitar (which is compatible with GHWT, not GH3) so does that mean I'll be able to play GH3 dlc with said guitar?

Yes, I think so, if you play the content in GHWT.

All the DLC is, really, is a note chart and the sounds that go with each note -- if the guitar is playing everything else in WT, I don't see why it wouldn't handle the DLC.

I like MKWii.

Mainly the fact that two people can play online from one console. And its fun.

Also, I bought Conan for $10 and I
Hate it! I played it last night, had a good time. Try to play it today and it freezes at the loading screen! One day I'm going to find Conan and murder him. Just for that. It's not cool at all.

If I want to play a game I want to play it, not have the damn thing freeze on me when I'm about to play it. I'd rather it just didn't start up at all, instead of giving me hope thinking "ok, this might be the time!" and then see it freeze.

My life is over.

My soul has died.

I'm going to the corner to cry.

But for now, I changed my mind. It's not that good of a game anyways. I want some food instead.

I've barely posted here at all this month.

A quick run down of what I've been playing:

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts: Okay, the controls aren't great. The vehicles don't have the best handling. And I really did want an N64-style platformer. But the game has some kind of charm--a combination of the addicting vehicle creation and the self-deprecating meta humor--that makes me love it. The "protect so-and-so" missions suck, though.

Banjo-Kazooie XBLA: As a kid, I rented this and Banjo-Tooie a lot, but never owned them. I was kind of dissapointed to realize that most of my best memories of them were from Tooie. Still a fun little game I got for free.

Penny Arcade Adventures Episode I: Honestly, downloaded it weeks ago and only got through the intro area. But I enjoyed the gameplay and the humor, I've just been occupied with other games.
Left 4 Dead: Loving it. Great game with friends or a good group of strangers.

Mirror's Edge: Gameplay is great, really fun when you get into it and pull of a bunch of cool shit fluidly. Story is pretty useless.

Soul Calibur IV: Pretty much the first fighting game I've gotten into since the SEGA Genesis. Enjoying it.

Chrono Trigger: This is my first time playing this game. Shameful, I know. But I really dig it, other than brief "Where the fuck do I go?" moments. Frog is awesome BTW.

I also just finished watching the complete series of Firefly on DVD.
Now I know this is like the Golden Child of the internet, but I thought...well, it was pretty good. But not amazing. The Chinese swearing started off kind of cool but quickly became really silly, it was too episodic for my taste, Inara was boring, and there were too many action sequences that became kind of boring--I mean, no one's going to die for real, so I just kind of drift off until the guns stop firing. The characters were really fun, though, and I'm interested in revisting them in Serenity.

I ALSO read Watchmen for the first time.
That was some good shit.

I played twenty minutes of Mario Kart Wii. The first fifteen were trying to control it with the Wii Remote and hating everything. The last five consisted of plugging in a Gamecube controller, starting a race, getting hit with four items in a row, yelling, "fuck THIS GAME!" and never touching it again.

I may have to do the same thing with Queen and Country vol.2 tonight. I pulled a couple all nighters with From Hell as well. Graphic novels are addicting.
I'm sure Fable II is great, but I really don't like the design. Sure gameplay is everything people say, but I still think graphics are a huge part of gameplay.
It stinks. If you're thinking of getting it, wait till it's dirt cheap.

Question: Jaelie and I do couch co-op on L4D. Can we do couch co-op AND play with one or two other people additionally online? If yes, can we both use headsets also?

Same exact question for Little Big.

I know you can with LBP.

Check my blog. there's something I want everyone to see and I really hope you don't miss. worth your time definitely.

played it like crazy when it was out. for the THPS copy game that it was, it was actually not bad.
Ok, seriously, this game fucking rocked. I played the shit out of my copy that I got for like 5 bucks (can't remember if it was used at GS or new from BB....).

And yes, it was very, very hard at points.

Well it seems that we got at least one last ep of Retronauts... it makes me sad. I should probably go and grab them all when I get the chance.

I ended up watching more Weeds Season 1 last night, after trying (and failing) at one of the challenges in Naruto NS. I'm not sure what to do tonight, though. I may play WoW. >_

Rolento

one of the bands that had a song in that game was Student Rick. they were a local band in my area.

Okay random question time! I won a PSP Phat off some dude (playing YGO :] ) and the good news is that the dude forgot to take out his 1gig stick, the bad news is that he updated it to 3.02 before betting it.

Now all I'm asking is IF you can put Custom firmware on it. I don't need details (don't wanna get in trouble with the mods), just a simple yes or no will suffice.
