You can couch co-op at home and round out the 4 with online players in LBP. Dunno about headsets, though.
Rero said you can, but I dont know if he saw my question about the headsets. If anyone knows for a fact, I'd love to have an answer.

Sabbath isn't actually sunday, but its just easier to do sunday midnight to midnight as sabbath. And we like to not play certain types of games on sunday. So we tried lego star wars (a birthday gift from big bro to lil bro) and found that incredibly lame. Now that I finally have my own dualshock tree, I suggested Little Big, so we started that. We only got a couple minutes into the intro when something came up, but it looks very impressive. the two guys running around on a side scroller remind me of when we used to have fun playing Lost Vikings together. :D

Happy Birthday Draco.
answer: gripshift ;)

oh and I'm happy about this since I can use it now for some artwork

Hmm, thanks :]

Yeah, if you were on the PS3 then accept my friend request too ;) (Haven't been on today, so if you did already then great!).

I play LBP all the time with the kiddies so will keep an eye out for you. I may be playing it again in just a few minutes. Though I will probably end up playing Pixel Junk Eden. I've been kind of obsessed with that game after dallow informed me I'd never be able to get all the trophies.

ps - Lego Star Wars is awesome ;).

I was like, COOL! Jaeli has his social anxieties, so he's not so big on playing with strangers. But he's wanting to try to interact a bit this way, and when i saw your request, I was psyched. I'm pretty sure I'll be allowed to accept you pretty soon. ;)

I'm sure it is. It just wasn't my thing. I'm glad y'all enjoy it.

Skate 2 is pretty amusing. I busted out some sweet shit. I'll probably snag it for cheap. The demo took forever to download though.

Other than that, I played HD Remix today, and nothing else.

Started Heavenly Sword yesterday. I'm really loving it. I enjoy the combat, the story is good, and the dialogue/acting is great. This is the first game in a long time where I actually look forward to the cut scenes.

Hey Mak, watched Girls Town last night (first ep of season 6), it was pretty good. Mamie Van Doren was pretty good looking back in the day.

In gaming news I mostly played Mass Effect, want to get it finished then play through a couple of quick games, then play through Fallout 3.

Has anyone else had posts disappear lately? I think this is the second time where I've sworn I hit Submit Reply then go back to the thread later and see nothing.
Disgrinda gets pretty bad. but you love it and keep crawling back and the music will cause you to develop a nervous twitch in your eye.
Yeah, I'll probably do a few hours of grinding tonight until my DS battery dies and then give it another shot.
I ALSO read Watchmen for the first time.
That was some good shit.
I actually just picked that up at the library yesterday. I'll blow through that once I finish reading Bogle on Mutual Funds.
:whee:

It's one of the very, very, very few games that use the sixaxis' motion controls in a workable, cool way.

Though I'm glad more games don't attempt to do this.
Wasn't too excited for Eternal Sonata going in, but I'm really enjoying it so far. fuckin beautiful game.
Does the PS3 version have trophies?

I turned it off immediately

I find it much easier (read: less frustrating) to use the analog for after touch.

Mak:

1) Don't think so.

2) Fair enough; some people (i.e., most reasonable people) hate the sixaxis motion controls, but that doesn't mean sometime, somewhere, it would be used well. Monkeys, typewriters, and Shakespeare sort of thing, I suppose.

3) Creeping up on the end of my Impossible run on Dead Space (and I take back most of the negative things I've said about the game, I'm getting pretty immersed into it now; maybe because it picked up the remnants of "horror" that Resident Evil seems to have dropped along the way?), and up for contention for next game to play through:

Fallout 3 versus Fable II. Battle of the titans! Cast your ballot now!

How many hours is Fable II? I've been meaning to play it, but Fable: TLC kept crashing on me on my 360, so I got pissed and said "I'll play them both through at some point in the future."

Knowing I'll probably never hook up by Xbox again to play Fable, I might as well power through that 'un anyway. Plus it has dogs.
I liked Fable 2, but Fallout 3 is better. That being said, you'll finish Fable 2 quicker so you should play that one first.
Or just wait till you can buy it for under $15, which is the most its worth.

If you do just the main storyline you can probably finish Fable 2 in around 20 hours.

He already owns both. Plus Fable 2 is not bad. It's a good game. I was disappointed in the ending though.

I plan on playing Fable II and Fallout 3 down the road as well. Which comes first will probably be determined by which I get matched up for on Goozex first as I won't buy either.

If I had both, I'd probably go Fable II simply because I've been playing Oblivion and could stand to play something different (need to finish it off, haven't touched it in a week--need to do Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles still).

Plus I'm a bit hesitant to get sucked into another Bethesda RPG (huge time sink)--so actually I may hold off on starting Fallout 3 (regardless of when I get it) until I finish up my dissertation. Should have a good bit of time for games and other shit this summer before starting my new job in August.

So yeah, I guess also factor in how much free time you have--Fable II is apparently pretty short and Fallout 3 can take over your life ala Oblivion from what I've gathered.
I'll take guinaever's advice.
I wouldn't. I thought Fable II was fun overall. I liked the combat, presentation, story (
the whole episode in the tower was an interesting change of pace.
), and the ability to build wealth via buying up property was just another little tidbit to keep me coming back into the game world.

To each their own, of course.

Yeah I really disliked Fable 2. The story didn't stick with me at all. I hated the way you interact with people too. It's way too contrived, with the little menus. And the jobs are boring.

I pretty much just did a few quests, married someone, bought a house, then sacrificed her at the temple. Then I sold it.

However, Last Remnant is a game that is much better than I thought it would be. And if anyone's playing Super Turbo in the GGT, send me a friend request so we can get some games going!

I agree that the menu system in Fable II was bad. There's d-pad hotkeys for potions, but still, it's way too convoluted for a console game. Heck, it'd be shitty even for a PC game. Menu in menu in menu in menu... bleh.

If LR shows up in the Amazon gold box for $20 or less, I'll bite.

Edit: LR did appear in the gold box! But for $30. Oh well, I'm sure it'll $20 sooner rather than later.

Oh I meant just the conversation stuff, but now that you mention it, yeah the menus are annoying in that game.

The combat is kinda fun at least..

But Fallout 3 is on a whole different level of awesome.

That's a lotta Fable dislike for a game that was roundly praised. Huh.

Probably going to go with Fallout 3, though I have Gears 2 and Valkyria Chronicles sittin' on my table from GF that I haven't played yet.

If you got, you might as well give it a try, Myke. If you do end up liking it, you'll finish it pretty quick as it's a short game.

I'm about level 9 1/2 in Fallout 3, on my way to Rivet City for the main quest line. For whatever reason, I just go very slowly in that game.

I keep saying this, but I really should try finishing up Vesperia sometime. It's my favorite JRPG that I've played for this gen so far.

You're not the only one who feels that way zew--looks like LR will sell out for gold box.

I'll wait for $20--my backlog be huge.

I'd play Gears 2 then. Great campaign and not all that long.

Just for the record, SAINT'S ROW KICKS ASS. I picked it up at Blockbuster with GTAIV for $15, and honestly, it blows GTA away. There are so many awesome things about the game, but my favorite part (so far) is just picking up some homies and bangin' on rival turf. Didn't think I would ever say that, but yes, it's true. :D
Today's my birthday (the 12th). Sadly have nothing but work to look forward to lol.

blast i need a copy of Lumines

eff this I'm going to sleep.
go to the gamesharing forum, it's been cluttered lately tho

wish watchmen was actually available at my library...

This morning I finally beat Assassin's Creed. It was fun, and I look forward to the sequel.

This afternoon I finally beat Persona 4. It was fun, and I look forward to the sequel.

Now, I think I'm gonna take a RPG break for a few weeks before I get back to Valkyria Chronicles and my PS2 backlog. I've started playing Mirror's Edge and while I find it to be frustrating (I'm real bad at first-person games) at least there's not much penalty for dying. And I seem to die a lot.

I've also started playing Deus Ex (with the Shifter mod that Crotch recommended). I've just gotten past the Liberty Island part. I really wish they'd make more FPS games like this, then maybe I'd play more of them.

Finally, I've played a little bit of WipEout HD, trying to get thru the campaign. I've beaten about half of the 5th circuit so far.
