that's not true at all...CoD4, Gears, Crysis, etc. are all difficult on harder settings like they are on consoles.

Well, it's just much easier to aim with a mouse than it is a controller and it seems to take away some of the challenge. Gears on PC was way too easy, headshot after headshot whereas on the 360 I had trouble due to using a controller. And yes, I like the handicap of using a controller instead of a mouse.

Playing fighters with the 360 pad is also a handicap. And I don't enjoy it.

And PC gaming isn't that expensive anymore. Plus it seems that every game comes out for PC too. The only things that suck are DRM and having to deal with Windows. I like mods and higher resolution graphics and higher framerates.

In the end, it's up to the player to decide what they want to play on. 360, PS3, PC, whatever. If you are happy with a PS3 or 360 version of something, then more power to you.

What? You mean that games for live windows crap can link to your gamertag? I just put in a BS name and played the game.
 
Did Epic ever release that damn Gears patch... y'know, the one that would make it possible to play the game again? I don't know how a company can be that goddamned stupid, and not be named "Midway."

mods extend the life of most games almost infinitely that and if u want to gimp urself...u can like in valve games u can use a 360 controller :lol:

they DID but it just fucked everything even more! now at least 2 people quit every ranked match....now there are talks of redoing the ranking system...this game just fucken blows, i went back to gears 1

Oblivion and Fallout 3 have tons of sweet mods. I've seen some people that are pretty good with a 360 controller, too.

so many mods to choose from and best part is theyre all customized to ur tastes if u dont like how a game plays then theres probably a mod that fixes it :lol:

i cant play any pc games with a controller for some reason
i tried playin tf2 with it and it just felt wrong :lol:
 
Oh yea, for those getting SFIV, what system are you getting it for? I'm getting it for the PS3 but am considering picking up the 360 version too, yay or nay? Keep in mind, this question's only for those actually buying SFIV.
 
I'm getting it for 360, because the online play will be better regardless of what TMK's stupid ass says.

The first episode of Tim and Eric season 4 was good... there were a couple parts that were ridiculously funny.

lies. it was fine until you said "BS name." you have to sign up for an XBL account and link it with gfw live. putting in your gamertag would've been easier than entering a bs name.
Saying "I played it on a friend's PC" would've worked too.

The pad is awesome! I can play Street Fighter again! If I get more used to it, it'll be hard to switch to the TE stick.

Only played Fatal Frame 2 today. My friends wanted to see the ending.
 
9.2 hours of Audiosurf since last night. I'm an addict. It's sweet just combing my music collection for songs to play. I love listening to music anyway, so this just combines that addiction with another one.

Just like with the 360, I was able to create an offline account to play it. Hence why I called it a BS name because I never intended to use it online. Did you not know this was possible?
 
Localizers can eat a dick. In Japan, Star Ocean has nice menus:

In America, Star Ocean has "Xbox 360 audience-friendly" menus (read: anime-hating white people menus):

It looks like someone vomited blue on the screen.

They just fuckin rereleased SO 1&2, adding character portraits during dialog. Now they're removing it from the western SO4 Misinformation.

I know nothing about SO other than it's an RPG and even I can call bullshit on this. The first one's much more visually pleasing, looks easier to navigate and looks very close to the menus I've played in some RPGs I've tried. The second menu looks like a lazy ass photoshop job.

The pink one looks like someone had a paint can explosion or vomited tie-dye.

I'd rather see top menu vs. top menu too, to be fair about it.

Edit: I like the menu background better for the NA release. The battle portraits, I could take or leave -- there should just be an option in the menu system to choose anime/CG model for the battle portrait. *shrug*

Wow, that does suck. The NA menu is terrible.
