For a while you could snag one for about $25 shipped for black, $45 for silver.

Almost EVERY USB controller ever made works on PS3.

HRAP EX is for the 360 and HRAP3 is for the PS3 ... that's the main difference I know of.

I can't use my amazon gift card on the HRAP3 since it's sold by a third party seller. I have most of my fighting games for the PS3 though and yet, the poor BC on the PS3 (lag wise guys... lag wise) makes me want the HRAP EX since I just got my favorite fighting game for it (SF3:TS in SFAC) and I can use my gift card on it. Man, what a pain in the ass decision to make.

After doing some searching on different forums, it seems fairly simple to replace it myself. I already took it apart to try to clean the laser(which didn't work).

This ebay store had good feedback, was not from China, Hong Kong, and sells (based on the pics) "brown clip" when compared to a white clip(bootleg) which is known to die after a few hours of use.

I asked for overnight shipping. I should have had it already, but the shipment was delayed because of some bad lasers in the batch and the seller had to wait for different stock.
A fully functional PS3 will make my B-day(tomorrow) an even better one!

This seller seems to have good feedback from the different forums that I got info from. They also offer 30 days to return it, which is really good when compared to other sellers.

I will let you guys know how it goes.
 
Also, is it better to have one's systems, more so the PS3 and 360 stand vertical or horizontal?
All of mine except the Wii are horizontal. I was thinking because the PS3 has vents on the top/side that it might vent better standing up, since heat rises to the top. Would it even make any difference?

I was going to raise up my shelves on my entertainment stand so I can stand up the PS3, fat PS2 W/stand, and the Wii W/stand all next to each other.

I guess I just paranoid after having my system fuck up on me once already.

I prefer to keep my consoles horizontal. The only console I have ever kept vertical is my Wii. I don't think keeping it vertical would determine whether or not the console will break...
 
My 1st 360 I stood vertical. My current one (2nd) I've had horizontal since I got it. Wii has been vertical whole time. PS2 has been horizontal whole time (slim model).
 
GGT!!

Still slowly working my way thru Xenosaga 3 and loving it. Wow, what an excellent RPG it has been so far. The dungeons and puzzles are a little boring (I actually liked Xeno 2's puzzles better) but the story has really become epic. I hope to have this game finished in the next week or so, because as much as I'm loving it, I'm getting ready to move on.

It is interesting to read some of the SFIV reviews coming in. I probably won't be getting the game for awhile (sorry, just never been a big fighter fan like some of the GGT) but it looks excellent, and most of the reviews are positive. Except the one that said:

Street Fighter IV merits, at best, an afternoon rental.

Almost at the 10 hour mark in Chrono Trigger. I'm really liking how I need to hop around the different ages. Though I don't like that I can only have 3 party members. And I'm not sure I'm going to like the monster battle dimension. Is it necessary for story progression?

Which I can kinda agree with. I did play a little bit of it at a Target kiosk today and was surprised how it doesn't really add much that hasn't been done either in the SF series or many other fighting games. But like I said, I'm not much of a fighter afficianado, so please don't sic the FGT one me.:lol:

Since you're not much of a fighter afficianado I can understand ... to an extent. You should probably play more of it and try the training/challenge modes.
 
It shouldn't matter, but I keep my PS3 and my 360 horizontal. Only my Wii is Vert.

I think most of us are getting SFIV, and some crazies (me) are getting it for both platforms.

I probably would have been crazy and gotten it for both platforms, but my PS3's online has problems, so it will probably always be 360 for online fighters now.
 
Both consoles? :shock: You guys are CRAZY. Maybe adding Darth Vader or something would have made me pick up SFIV earlier. ;)

Now that I think about it, there is really no reason to do both consoles for SFIV. I technically did it for SCIV, but I owned the PS3 version first than got rid of it for the 360 version.
