Sweet Found Silent Hill 3 PC for $6 at HPB. And Spore Galactic Edition for $20!

And Lost Odyssey for $15!

Scribblenauts does look really great. I will buy that game.

Also, Loco Roco 2 is filled with joy and good. I had the urge to play PSP after all the hubbub about the Go. I couldn't find anything new to buy that sounded any good so I put in LR2. Fun.

GT PSP should be good, and I'm looking forward to new MGS and Soul Calibur too. It'll be nice to have PSP games to play.

Was that Prinny platformer any good? I heard it was balls hard.
I call upon the GGT to aid me in my quest for a PS2. I'm in talks to buy a fat PS2 + controllers and memory card for $60, but I'm not so sure I want to jump on it. Mostly I'm concerned that it won't play ICO which I know doesn't read properly on older models. The PS2 is in really good condition, no problems with the laser or anything, but I really want to be able to play ICO on this thing. Should I do it?
Anyone?
Anyone?
You won't know if it'll work or not without trying a blue CD anyway.

Is there something preventing you from trying it out before you buy?
And I'm of the opposite opinion.
:shrugs:
Same here. DS has a broader, better selection of JRPGs overall.

PSN download speeds have gotten better over time for me.

I have a PS2 I bought in October of 2001. It had the DRE errors for CD games (DVD laser was fine). Sony fixed it. It plays ICO no problems.

PSN and XBL both go quickly for me usually.

The only slow thing are large patches for PS3 games. Ugh, that shit does take longer than it should. It has to be hosted on some secondary crap server or something.

No just a really slow brain.

:dunce: Just imagine I'm sitting in a corner.

My PS3's wireless is something the Devil shat out after eating Taco Bell. It's got an STD or something. Before I was given the xbox 360 for christmas and was forced to change the networking setup (Shrike4242 was a major help), my PS3 speed was okay, but whenever the PS3 activated it's wireless, it would send an EMP out and kick EVERYTHING off the internet, including the router...

Now that my PS3 and 360 are connected to a switch connected to an AP (which connects wirelessly to the router upstairs in the office), everything has been pretty stable and reasonably fast.

I had that same exact problem with my PS3 for awhile. I forgot how I fixed it...

Mine did this when I switched ISPs/wireless routers - turning off UPnP in the PS3 network settings fixed it.
I'm gonna buy my first PSN card to get FFVII for the first time ever. It's not going to fit on my 1gig PSP stick, is it?
The game is 1.3GB I believe, so yeah, time to upgrade.
fuck that i'll just play it on my PS3.

Not buying a card just for that shit.
you can get a 2 gig stick for around $10, so why not upgrade?

also just won 800 MS points from sprint... now I realize I don't know of anything I want on XBLA that I don't already have... >_
Buy Magic: The Gathering XBLA in two weeks. ^__^

I can't wait.
Have they stated on if you have to buy cards separate as DLC? if not I'm definitely getting it.
Have they stated on if you have to buy cards separate as DLC? if not I'm definitely getting it.
Nope. All the cards are in the game, no DLC bullshit is the word.

fuck yes. I'm all over it. Have they announced the price? I'm gonna run short on points now, since I was trying to save my last 1200 for MvC2. fuck you, YF360G and Amazon. :|
Have they stated on if you have to buy cards separate as DLC? if not I'm definitely getting it.
I'm guessing that, while cards could be released as DLC, it will definitely have a large set of cards to begin with. It's been so long since I played, I can even remember what edition/expansions were out when I was playing -- 4th edition... maybe Legends... and 5th was coming out when I stopped. I think Fallen Empires might've been in there too.
Nope. All the cards are in the game, no DLC bullshit is the word.
fuck yeah!

I've never learned to play Magic even though I've played tons of CCGs/TCGs... k. thx zew for helping me with that one :)

How do you get cards? One of my favorite things about Magic was buying a pack and finding a rare in it. I hope everyone doesn't just have access to all the cards right at the beginning.

I used to be a huge Magic player (I stopped right before the 5th edition came out), so if they do this well I'm all over it. May make me actually upgrade to XBL Gold again.

Well, if it's like other games I've played that are like Magic, you start with a basic deck, you battle people and earn cards at the end to build your collection. Winner usually gets more cards than the loser, but everyone earns something.

So I downloaded the Medio Go software anyway even though I haven't bought my PSP 3000 yet. I uploaded all my music and a bunch of movies. It has a bootleg iTunes look but is pretty snappy. And wow, I haven't downloaded anything off the PSN Store yet but just browsing through it is ridiculously fast.

Hey, the US Advent Children Blu-Ray has the FFXIII demo too. Is it worth it?

Edit: Oh wait a minute. I forgot I have netflix, lol.

I'm on Sony's Blu Ray Club mailing list and they just sent me an email.

You'll be able to sell it for a good price after you play the demo and watch the Bahamut and Sephiroth scenes.

If that's true how come no one else has reported on this?

I'll probably get it , just so that I can play against other people. I have a pretty sizable collection of Magic cards and other TCG cards , but no one lives near me that plays any of them. :(
I'm on Sony's Blu Ray Club mailing list and they just sent me an email.
Maybe sony and squeenix worked out a new deal on that? Cause last I heard , square said that the US version of Advent Children on Blu would not have the demo.

ok...

um apparently I have 2300 Wii Points (or just 300 if anyone wants to buy the points cad off me) and I don't know of anything I want... I would get that pixel game on DSi, but I have no use for a DSi at all at the moment.

so... I was wondering if I should just wait, or get something...

so far all I have already on my Wii:

River City Ransom
Sin & Punishment
The Legend of Zelda (never owned it myself growing up so I wanted to spend time with it)
TLoZelda: Ocarina (I really do not like this game... not for me... sorry, prefer 2D zelda)

I'm down for anything other than world of goo (want to play it on PC) and Majoras Mask... so any suggestions might help.
Yoshi's Story, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, Star Fox 64, and Zelda: Link to the Past are great games.
I've beaten Zelda LTTP too many times as well as Super Mario 64... I'd get Mario Kart 64, but I'm holding out for the SNES one >_<

I'd also get Super Mario RPG, but I can't commit to an RPG right now.

also, not looking too great but it's a port so at least it's crisp:

Bah, sorry zew, guys, I messed up: it's just a 7 min preview of the game, not a playable demo.
Sneak Peek at Final Fantasy XIII (1080p, Dolby Digital 2.0, 7:12 min): Featuring cut-scenes and in-game footage from the upcoming Final Fantasy video game release, this supplement is truly a sight to behold.
Any particular kind of game or genre your looking for a game in? It'd be easier to make a recommendation knowing what your looking for.

Yoshi's Story = Too Short , Too Easy , not really worth 1000 points
Mario Kart 64 = Hold off for the SNES one , or grab the GCN/Wii versions , they are all better
Super Mario 64 = A bit on the easy side now , but still worth playing
Star Fox 64 = Totally worth it if you like flight shooter. Still play it fairly often
LoZ : LttP = Also totally worth it
