I'm debating on finally building a PC... I kind of want one for Left 4 Dead 2. But I'm pretty lazy and will never get it done...

Yeah, COD4 on Veteran is an exercise in frustration--you can't sit still for a moment due to the never-ending rash of grenades.

I'm really enjoying Infamous so far! It's like Crackdown and the open world Spider Man games mixed together.

Oh Shiat! Prototype comes out tomorrow?! I got to finish my evil play through on inFamous. Btw, the evil powers suck horribly bad. The good powers are soooo much better. I'm highly disappointed!

Yeah Prototype this week! I don't think I'm even half way done with Infamous yet! :whee:

I dunno why, but I always play "Good" first. Or I make sure not to save while doing something "Evil". Evil tends to be fun only for a little while, then something in the game design makes it unrewarding to be evil for too long.

I agree with you. The evil powers aren't nearly as good. I'm probably going to take a break from Infamous(I'm playing on Hard and I'm annoyed at a certain mission) and play Prototype when I pick it up.

Starfy, Tiger 10, the RB PSP game, Virtua Tennis 09, and Class of Heroes are the most notable releases this week besides Prototype (at least for me). I have Prototype on the way, but not sure about Starfy or Tiger. Will probably hold off until those drop in price.

I never played HL2 until Orange Box. Loved it and ep 1, but got stuck not knowing where to go in ep 2 and quit.

What I should I buy off of PSN with the rest of my 20 dollar card after getting FFVII?

MGS on June 18th with me. :grouphug:

I thought about getting MGS when it comes out on PSN but I already have Twin Snakes and the original PS1 game and I can't imagine playing MGS on a PSP...
COD4 on Veteran just isn't right.
Its insanely difficult.
What are you guys talking about? COD4 on Veteran was a piece of cake for like 95% of the game. There was only about three spots (not including MHC) where I had any trouble at all, and even then it wasn't THAT difficult.

Now Mile High Club, that is a pain in the ass.

For the PSP/PS3 games? Yes.

Also, I'd recommend Zen Pinball, if you like those kinds of games. It's really addicting.

And budge, I didn't say COD4 veteran was "that" difficult. It can be pretty frustrating, though.

That is simply not true.

Yeah, if that's true I suck even worse at a games than I thought.

I never got past the part of One Shot, One Kill where you're waiting on the helicopter. And that was on Hardened--so I never even bothered with Veteran.

It just wasn't fun. The Gears games I beat on Insane (though having co-op and being able to get through it with a friend was a big part of that) and generally had fun.

But with the grenades, enemies that just keep spawning until you hit some magical check point to stop them etc. just made CoD4 on the higher difficulties no fun at all for me.

Finally played Punch-Out!! yesterday.
Not nearly as pretty as I expected. Colors are nice, but so much AA that it's distracting more than usual.

And the SOUND, it's HORRIBLE!
It has to be one of the most poorly encoded games I've ever played. The crowd noise has this ugly high pitched squeal that low bitrate music/sounds usually have.
I turned off the Dolby Pro-Logic II and played in Stereo and it still sounded bad.

Other than that, fighting is fun, and gets intense.

I checked the last time I had used the Wii.
January 31st.

Just got done with Disc 1 of FFVII. Is it wrong that I laughed after seeing Sephiroth raise his hands in victory after stabbing Aerith? Probably not.

After playing Crisis Core all the way through, I can't help but feel bad for Zack and Seph, though. But enough of that, I have a tuna sub to devour.

CoD4 is "hot needles in my dick" hard. I glitched One Shot One Kill on veteran after trying it for two hours (camping where you pick up the intel.) Still fucking fun though.

Does the PSN version tell you when to "change discs"? How's it all work?

That is the whole reason I want a FFVII remake.

Ugh, I can't seem to connect to xbox live now. Yet its been fine for the past 9 months with the same set up.

Finished Infamous (good play through), and I really liked the ending. Very comic-y end.

Played through two more chapters of RE5, up to 6-2.
Half-Life 2 is a classic, no question.

But 2004 is not "back in the day." ;)
God help me when 2004 is considered back in the day :(

What's all this Mile High Club talk?
damn, props. I gave up on my dragon sword run when I saw it was only worth 5 measly cheese points.
I'm crazy enough that I'm considering playing through on easy to get the dragon sword only, then doing new game+ with maxed weapons and magic and doing a melee only run through chapter 13 to get the rest of them. :|

The scythe wasn't bad -- I had decided to play through again because I wanted to get the Feat of Ultimate Power/Get all Skulls achievements so I figured I might as well roll with the scythe for the whole game. It was the scythe that allowed me to fuck up the last boss anyway, so I based it off that. :)

I glitched it too -- I used that funky radioactive no damage zone in the playground until the choppa showed up. Then I did like Maklershed advises and GOT TO THE CHOPPA!

In lieu of Remedy's latest game coming out I decided to give the first Max Payne a whirl today. Game holds up surprisingly well. It tries a little too hard with the gritty crime drama stuff but it has great production value for its time.

looks like my ea cash card orders went through
hopefully i'll get home in time this week so i can still get free shipping and pick up brutal legend $30...unless i should preorder another game :whee:

Just wait until the nightmare sequence towards the end. It's the only time I've ever been tempted to smash a controller.

No seriously, how do I do this? Didn't see anything on the deals forum.

deal died last week but yeah u could buy the $10 ea cash cards from best buy for $5 so ppl were snatching them up to get 50% off on everything at the online EA store

i limited myself to 6 cards to pick up 1 game since i figured all the other EA games I wanted were on pc and they would get cheap really fast

went with brutal legend because its console only atm and i dont think it would bomb in price like the other pc/360 titles that and I wanted to support double fine at launch
Playing FFVII! I must be the last person in the world to do so...
That game was ok. I don't like how
That Rhino is able to beat up Sephiroth but your group of like...20 people can't. Also how Sephiroth claims to be the worlds best dad. He's so not. He beats up Cloud so much. What kind of father does that?!
