Uncharted is genna be great to play, but there's alot more other things on my radar I'd rather be playing.

Hopefully next month i'll jump back on gamefly to start laying some more stuff again.

Hokuto Musou (Fist of the North Star + [Koei] Warriors), coming to PS3/360 in 2010 (Japan). You are already dead!

In other Famitsu news:
- RPG Maker DS was announced. I wonder if it'll use that 8-Megabyte save chip that "Daigasso! Band Brothers DX" used?
- Romance of the Three Kingdoms 3 DS, Ar Tonelico 3 (PS3), and Taiko no Tatsujin Wii 2 have articles.
- Phantasy Star Portable 2 (PSP) had an article. There will be anime-related armor sets, like the plug suits from Neon Genesis Evangelion, the armor from FATE/Stay Night, and a Hatsune Miku costume for all genders.
- The first screens of Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth have appeared. This confirms that it is a remake of the first Game Boy Castlevania game.
- The following have been canceled: Electric Maid DS, Vegetable de Pon (DS), King of Fighters Maximum Impact 3 (PS3/360), King of Fighters Maximum Impact A2 (PS2)

Given how badly King of Fighters XII did, I'm not surprised by those cancellations.

I just finished Disc 3 of Lost Odyssey. That boss really wasn't hard at all. It took about 3 turns to actually started doing damage to it, but once I started, it all fell into place quite nicely.

Damn, I'm sure Maximum impact 3 would have been better than XII, since the recent MI's on the ps2 and in the arcade were pretty good games.

Finally finished RE5 last night. The last boss fight felt pretty un-RE. Also lame that there aren't any achievements for Mercenaries, we had some crazy runs through the mines.

Agreed. I was so insanely disappointed with the final Boss in that game.
When he came out as that big gigantic mutant I was thinking, "YEAH! BOSS BATTLE, SUCKERS!" and then he killed me three times before I realized I just needed to hit his weakspot with a rocket. It was disappointing.

Was there major gripes about XII gameplay? I couldn't stomach how blocky/pixelated the art was on my LCD -- I thought it was going to be more like Blazblue.

What the hell?

You do realize that any boss from RE5 (or any other RE for that matter) dies from one rocket hit, right?

Not on hard mode he didn't, I had the infinite rocket launcher by then and I must have spammed him with about 50 rockets before he went down, on the plus side
I avoided the stupid Sheva quick time thing where she's hanging off the rock

Yeah, I ran through on hard, but without infinite rockets... it still wasn't that bad.

Then he wasn't in his final "spot."

He went down in one rocket on Professional for me.

Oh... he meant the thing
during the cut scene on the chopper? yeah, 1 shot, no doubt.

Did he run through Uncharted before the trophy patch?

That's probably why he's so angry at the series.

Hell, I hate Nathan Drake and I'm excited for part 2

:whee:
Out for delivery. :whee:
Mine too, although I can't play it since my girl and I are going to watch movies today. I

I'm not actually excited to play U2, I stopped becoming giddy about upcoming games long ago (other than first reveals which are always cool), but I know I'm going to have a blast when I pop it in tonight and not want to stop.

Zewone, that's weird, I like to go to the movies when it's raining usually too.
The best time was time was when I went to see Blair Witch when it was released and there was a crazy thunderstorm. After the movie was over, everyone walked into the hallway and the lights went out suddenly.
Another time, a dollar theater started to flood, an inch of water everywhere, that was just amusing.

I need to avoid the U2 threads like this one as I won't get my copy until at least this Friday. Too bad Amazon doesn't have prime to Hawaii... :p

Mine is too, and UPS likes to take forfuckingever to deliver shit to me. I'm going to blaze though it in one or two sittings.

Nathan Drake is probably the best part of the series. I played with the trophy patch and got everything except the trophy for running through on crushing (and thus the platinum too).

However, I got Uncharted for something obscene like $7 out of pocket. And then sold it for $25+. Paying me $18 to play through? Awesome. As far as part 2 goes, I just don't get all the hype.
Sucks to be you! :whee: :p
Yeah, but not because I'm not into Uncharted 2 or the fact that yours is out for delivery.
anyone else pick up brutal legend?
BL is awesome! Ironheade!

I felt like the boss in the room with the flamethrower was harder than anything that came after on every difficulty.

I won't get to play it until this weekend at the earliest due to school...and then this weekend I might be moving.

Oh crap, Talking Heads' Stop Making Sense came out on Blu-Ray today?
I had no idea it was coming (or completely forgot). Might have to put off Uncharted 2 for this

That's out today? I'll have to pick it up at the record store. :whee:

That was tough, since the AI was too stupid to not die. RE5 was such a disappointment.
frost how far are u in brutal legend?

i just finished the 1st stage battle
Just got back to Bladehenge with Lemmy the Kill Master in tow. Trying to figure out where the motorpool is so I can look into these available upgrades.

lolllll

what kind of person plays a co-op game by themselves? make some friends. i'd imagine that must be pretty hard for such a weird guy such as yourself.

I actually never had a problem with the AI dying. Only really ever happened on the higher difficulties in the room where you get separated and there's a bunch of lickers.

I had to play it co-op, it was impossible to do with the AI.

Which section? I didn't have much trouble with the AI at all on either of my playthroughs. :|

Cool, my U2 shipped this morning. Hopefully I'll get it by this Friday so I can play this weekend.

In the meantime, I need to start Demon's Souls. I was on-call this weekend and got called out late last night during my intended game time. And I had just steeled myself to finally start playing it too. :p
