Not very far .. I'm in
Borneo (which is gorgeous) where you first get grenades and Sully is sniping.
Oh man, the jungle looks so good there. I spent a bit of time just taking all that in. Such an upgrade from the first game which is amazing. Sully's great.
I bought Brutal Legend today. There's already an update I have to download. I sure with I could play the game.

I remember when I could just put in a game and play it, but no, not anymore. Instead I get to wait for updates. fuckers.
Campus internet security measures amount to "I can play games online but can't downlod anything." Including updates.

Every game i own has gotten an update in the last three months. I can't play a single game online here.

I think I like that better than the bad CG shot of Drake hanging off the cliff.
I can't believe those Fortune Hunter editions of U2 are selling for $1000+ on ebay.
There goes my thought about picking one up.
And to think, I told Makalackadingdong I'd trade him a fortune hunter edition for his regular edition if I somehow won a copy...

Shut up... My team was 10points (in King of the Hill) from winning one.

:bomb::bomb::bomb:

All the games that have come out so far that I got between Sept and oct. have been about $35-$40 ea. or cheaper thanks to Amazon. Definitely etailer of the year.

NFS Shift was $24.99 amazon lightning deal. With the 3 for 2 deal, the $5 uncharted preorder credit, and 10% ECA, the total came out to $61. A lot better than I would've done for the same games @ TRU.

Finished Uncharted 2 yesterday, had a blast with it. I've played a ton of multiplayer in the last few days, and I suck ass so hard at it, but I still enjoy it a lot.

Now I'm rolling through single player with an infinite shotgun and as a skull face soldier. :)

@hankmecrankme

mind going into more detail about that last sentence? Is there modes like infinite ammo, god-mode, or even shoot-through walls once you beat the game?

You can buy unlocks after completing the game using the money you earned.

Oh, OK.

I'll leave you alone from now on. I thought you suffered from a learning disability (which you probably do), but it never occurred to me that you were just a kid until right now.

Glad to see everyone is treating the newbz with respect. I was 13 when I joined CAG.

I rescued my 360 from the pawn shop today. It felt damn nice to play some Peggle! :D And just in time for the holiday season...

I'm going to pick up some games soon-ish, maybe Batman: AA and something else. Any suggestions?
For PS3 owners, replace "30 second" with "5-10 minute."
Naw, I'd say 360 updates take about 10 seconds, PS3... I've seen updates from as little as 16 megs to almost 800 megs. So about 20 seconds to 20 minutes maybe.

I'd assume your playing on Hard/Crushing now, which leads me to ask:
Do you still get trophies with those things enabled? It would give me a hell of a lot more desire to play multiple times.

He's just screwing around in Normal mode, you can't use them on stages you haven't already beaten nor on a difficulty you haven't already beat it on.

You can, however, get trophies with them on; they just obviously won't be any help getting the game completion trophies for this reason.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. I do plan on at least attempting to get the platinum trophy, but beating the game on crushing will probably not happen.

Well, I decided to go for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 at $40. Local store had it barely used.

I forgot how good L4D is on PC. Just incredible looking and running.

I went to see Zombieland today and that's what made me boot it up again. Great flick. One of the most "fun" movies I've seen in a while.

I ordered Fallout 3: GOTY for 360 from Amazon because I can't find the game anywhere around here. Got it for $31.99 since I had a Gift Card. I'm really looking forward to playing it, and I'm glad I didn't buy Vanilla Fallout 3 last year for $40 when I had the chance.

Uncharted 2's difficulty spikes at Chapter 4. So if you get past Chapter 4 on Crushing, it's pretty much smooth sailing for most of the game. I just got to Chapter 7 on Crushing, and it's been sort of a breeze so far. But so far it's a cakewalk compared to Uncharted's Crushing Mode. Why?
There are no Death Rooms in Uncharted 2
. That's why.

But maybe one the best reason to see Zombieland-
emma_stone_1896794.jpg

But seriously, a great zombie movie.

I'm at the very last part of uncharted 2 but I won't be back to it until monday cause I'm out of town. My one complaint with the game - the forced linear climbing sections are dull and pointless. Get RID of them. The climbing during combat and for exploration purposes is excellent, but those linear point A-B sections, especially near the end of the game bring the suck. The rest of the game is near flawless.

Ohh, okay.
I wish you could unlock Crushing by playing Normal mode (unless that changed this year) because I'm not sure I'd play the game 2 more times. Or, I would, but it would take a really long time.
I'm going to go to BB tomorrow and trade in 4 games to get Brutal Legend and something else.
What should that something else be?
Things I'm looking at:
-Fallout 3: GOTY (played a couple hours and couldn't get into it, do I need to play MOAR or not bother?)
-Otherwise I'm pretty open to suggestions.

I plan on going back a second time on the 27th to get Ratchet/Tekken 6. I wish I had money to get the wireless stick bundle. Is that bundle available for 360 as well or just PS3?

They have a Tekken 6 wireless stick bundle for both 360 and PS3.

As for Fallout 3, if you didn't care for it after a few hours, you probably won't change your opinion on it.

The stick bundle is going to be available for both. I wish Street Fighter IV had a Stick bundle, because I would've bought that.

Yeah, I thought U1 could've used more of these sections, but now in U2 I wish there were less - I really enjoy them the first time, but if I ever go through the game again they're just going to be a waste of time.

Sitting at about 4 hours in on FF7. I'm really enjoying it, but the frequency of the random battles is really pissing me off, especially since I like to explore. Step-Step-Oh shit gotta fight more Sewer Turtle Mages is not fucking fun.
Whatever. FF7 is the greatest game of all time! Everything in it is tons of fun!
You forgot the at the end.

I'm all about that Cthulhu board -- gamingnow had it for slightly cheaper than lizardlick, but both are out of stock.

I'm just not sure how hard it is to install after I get the cthulhu pcb in my hands... do i need more wires? do I need anything other than a screwdriver?

You should probably ask eastx those questions in the arcade stick thread. I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to modding sticks. :whistle2:#

You can also check out his tutorial on how to do it here - http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=184787

brutal legend multi is pretty fun
im 3-1 atm and my 2nd game was pretty crazy
dude thought he had me on the ropes and my stage was burning while i was focused on teching up(i grabbed 4 extra fan geysers)
i held off his attacks long enough to give my 3rd stage level army at max capacity enough time to destroy his stage in a few seconds

Brutal Legend is fun. It reminds me of a last gen game (in a good way).

Now if only I could get the fucking update to fucking download all the fucking way without getting some sort of fucking error.

Damn it.

So - are people really looking forward to Borderlands? If so why? I haven't really seen anything on it. It came out so fast - I remember seeing those early early screens and then they went quiet for a while then all the sudden they release it.

Also @Jer - that is a very good reason to see Zombieland . Made the movie a lot better (even though it was amazing to begin with).
