Fairly sure you can play Child of Eden with a regular controller.
That was my point.
If he didn't have a kinect, I couldn't figure out what reasoning he'd have necessarily choose CoE on 360 over PS3 (unless some comparison came out and PS3 is utter shite).

Personally, I had no interest in Kinect controls, I'd rather play it with Move if I had to play without using a standard controller.
I almost bit on Just Cause 2, also, but then I didn't. I did activate my free 30 days of PS+ to get Braid at $3.75 though. I've heard too many good things about it to let your one crappy opinion stop me from spending $4.

I'm not alone in my criticisms of braid by a long shot... hopefully you like it, more power to you if you do.

The PS3 version of CoE isn't out until September now I believe anyway.

As for Braid I figured it was worth 3.75 after getting to hear Johnathan Blow absolutely shit all over the Xbox Live guys on one of Giantbomb's E3 podcasts about how hard it is to get games out on XBLA..seems very passionate about his work.

For what it's worth, Braid is my favorite downloadable game ever, so I feel like anyone should at least give it a try to see if they like it. Especially fans of puzzle-solving adventure type games. If you don't like it, then $3.75 isn't exactly a wallet-breaker.

Ahh, then the CoE purchase really makes sense.

As for Braid... depends on what you thought of the demo, I suppose?

I didn't like the demo, but forced myself to play the game through since I got it on Steam for free... didn't change my mind at all. But if you guys end up liking it, again, more power to you and I'm glad you got it cheap.
I'll try Chun Li
Boo this man.
I was pretty surprised at the 3 gamespot gave DNF. Should I buy it if I liked the demo Uraizen?
There's only one review you should listen to:

http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/06/10/duke-nukem-forever-review/

I've read the negative ones and people seem to be ripping on it because of the graphics/controls (not a problem on PC), difficulty (lol), and humor. If you enjoyed the demo, you'll love the full game.

After playing through most of the first 3 worlds of Braid, I'm liking the style of the game but it has been a little frustrating already. I really like the little intros to all of the worlds with the text from books. I wouldn't say it's moving, but it says a lot about what you can do with a story even when your game is a 2D platformer where no one actually talks.

I imagine the load times are causing the difficulty comments for the console versions - 40 seconds every single time you die would frustrate anyone.

Yea, it takes only 3 or 4 seconds on PC.
Duke Nukem Forever's metacritic score is now lower than Matt Hazard. There's no fucking way it's that bad.
It's not, you should actually read the reviews to understand how ridiculous they are.
Did you find the Beast to be far to easy? I honestly thought fighting Kessler on easy in the first game was more difficult.
You don't fight the Beast on the evil side. In fact it really didn't have much of an end boss fight except an easy battle against Nix. Did have a cool sequence where you kill Zeke though.
Nice, Braid is 3.75 for PS Plus members...can finally play that.
Braid isn't even worth 10 cents.

I gave up on the 1-up one after the tagline was "what a douche".

Did see some excerpts from Destructoids which were pretty ridiculous (though I don't give clicks to them as a rule).

DNF demo was okay. Too linear though.

Of all the shooters that there are on the market, DNF should be the one without ADS. I'll get it during one of those awesome Steam Sales.

Also fuck Origin.

The demo is a terrible representation of the game, they couldn't have picked a worse part for the second piece of the demo.

Played some Dirt 3 and ran into some bugs in the free roam level. After a while, I started going after the drifting challenges where I began clipping through everything as I drifted. That ended with me doing a jump and falling through the road, where I saw the world underneath it that was a fluffy pink.
Alice rules. Seriously really enjoying the game so far, and it's beautiful!
Good to hear. I hope to receive my copy by the weekend, but more likely I won't get it until next week or later as Amazon FSSS has slowed to a crawl lately.

I think you mean FFXIII.

No ones allowed to talk bad about the Braid.

Codemasters are obviously not what they say they are. This has been a known issue about them. F1 2010 was a decent racing game, the problem was the bugs that occurred in the game. The sad part was their lack of patching. I am hoping F1 2011 turns out to be a much more stable engine.

Imma buy Duke when it's cheap on Steam. :bouncy:

That's my usual buying plan anymore.

Nice to hear, also see the first sentence of this post, replace Duke with Alice.

I agree. What I've played of it so far has been amazing.

Just beat Sly 3. Terrible game. Terrible final boss. Going for 100% will be terrible too, since I want the Last Platinum in the Collection.
What the fuck, am I the only one here who bought duke nukem forever?
Yes.

Oh yeah, no Alice Madness Returns on Steam, thanks EA Origin.

Can't wait for everyone to have their own download manager/store so I can have 10 different ones on my PC. Bad enough when I gotta clean out crap like Gamespy Comrade that games like to stick me with, and being forced to use bullshit like Rockstar Social Club.

Read this again, and ask yourself why you're willing to put up with this shit for a worthless trophy.

I'm an idiot... I already knew you didn't fight him.

Alice is right so far. But does feel slightly dated...
Are Warhawk/ACII still on PSN sale or did they go back up when PSN updated today?
They went back up in price when PSN was updated.
What the fuck, am I the only one here who bought duke nukem forever?
I think you might be... I was going to buy it, but when I went to GS last night to trade in a couple of things I noticed they already had 4 360 copies that had been traded in, so Imma wait for them to put those out.

After starting 2 and realizing it didn't age well for me I just decided to get rid of the whole thing instead of torturing myself by going for another platinum in it and part 3.
What the fuck, am I the only one here who bought duke nukem forever?
Nope, waiting for it to get fairly cheap (maybe I'll have a decent computer around that time to). Plus I'm going to be focused on Alice for a while.

I might pick up Child of Eden at some point though, I really love Rez.

I liked the demo well enough - but definitely going to wait to see if they patch it to fix load times or its less than 25 dollars.
What the fuck, am I the only one here who bought duke nukem forever?
I bought it. I am enjoying it. It feels like a old shooter from the early 2000's. Then again I guess I am enjoying it because it's Duke and it feels different than 98% of the shooters that come out nowadays.
http://www.giantbomb.com/news/skarl...at-on-june-21-kenshi-and-rain-to-follow/3379/

Looks like you get the Sektor/Cyrax UMK3 costumes without paying for Skarlet - they come in the patch that will allow you to play online against her even if you don't have her.
I doubt that -- the patch will probably include the costume data so that opponents can see you stylin' straight up oldschool, but won't allow you to select them, as the unlock key for skarlet is probably the unlock key for those two costumes (think classic costumes/fatalities).

Ahahahaha

ME3 multiplayer details leak [BioWare Responds - Changes No Multiplayer Stance] #1
Courtesy of deathberry

http://tbreak.com/megamers/29135/new...layer-details/

seems to be true. May be it's the reason of delay.

Quote:
Additionally, our source also detailed some parts of the multiplayer campaign. Here’s what we’ve been told:

The game will feature a Horde style multiplayer mode with “crap loads” of maps.
It will also have the regular modes such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag.
The Horde mode will have objectives like Capture The Flag, King of the Hill, and simple shoot-to-kill ‘waves’ as well.
Up to four players can play cooperatively in the Horde mode.
Maps are “fairly small” but well designed.
Players can choose from 6 different classes, or use a prebuilt one’s. Our source didn’t confirm what those classes were, but we reckon all those from ME2 will be present.
There will be a level cap of 60.
Some of the enemies were confirmed as well: Geth, Marauders, Husks, and a new enemy type called Brutes. The source described them as insanely “huge ass”.
The game will also feature a ‘multiplayer store’. The store will carry upgrades for weapons, etc. and other items.
Players will be able to buy said upgrades and items by earning in-game money based on their performance in the multiplayer. Our source wasn’t sure if the in-game money can be earned via the single player campaign as well, “but I doubt it. Seems like the (singleplayer and multiplayer) modes will be separate.”

Maybe dmaul114 got his wish after all and we're looking at gears of effect 3, space combat RPG.
