Well to further explain, you control a mech, which has weapons assigned to the triggers for shooting. You can customize your mech and stuff between missions as well (weapons, armor, etc.). Each mission involves defending a base, just like any other tower defense game, while waves of enemies come at you. And in order to support yourself, you can build towers pretty much anywhere to shoot the enemies. Destroying enemies makes them drop scraps which you can pick up in order to build more towers. The towers come in different varieties specializing in attacking different types of enemies or having effects such as slowing them down. If you've played other tower defense games, you should already have an idea of how those work. Depending on how you customize yourself though, you can focus more on your own mech and the shooting part, or you can focus on the tower building, or a balance of both.

Yep, it is Suda 51 after all. The gameplay however is more like RE4, so it has more general appeal than most Suda games.
