Sonic Generations demo tomorrow.
For the hardcore Sonic fans in here. :)
Nice. I know what I'm downloading tomorrow.
Games anyone?
Yes, I have plenty.
Did anyone else pick up Trenched today? The game is a blast, and I've heard it's even better co-op.
I have no clue what that is.

Third-person mech-shooter combined with tower defense type game.

Whaaaat, GT gave Shadows of the Damned a 6.7, I should have expected it when the first thing they bitched about was the humor. Oh well, got to see some awesome gameplay footage because of it, so it's all good.
I'm kind of intrigued by your description.
Well to further explain, you control a mech, which has weapons assigned to the triggers for shooting. You can customize your mech and stuff between missions as well (weapons, armor, etc.). Each mission involves defending a base, just like any other tower defense game, while waves of enemies come at you. And in order to support yourself, you can build towers pretty much anywhere to shoot the enemies. Destroying enemies makes them drop scraps which you can pick up in order to build more towers. The towers come in different varieties specializing in attacking different types of enemies or having effects such as slowing them down. If you've played other tower defense games, you should already have an idea of how those work. Depending on how you customize yourself though, you can focus more on your own mech and the shooting part, or you can focus on the tower building, or a balance of both.
Shadow of the Damned seems like a Killer 7 type game to me.

As in how people will look at it in the next gen.
Yep, it is Suda 51 after all. The gameplay however is more like RE4, so it has more general appeal than most Suda games.
Got Plants vs Zombies on my unlocked WP7.

I have problems.
Addiction is a bitch.

Yeah, pretty much.

I want to play it, but I'mma wait for that inevitable price drop. I said 3 months until $20, let's see if I'm close.:bouncy:

I should mention that the mech also controls really easily. The shooting is more arcadey rather than technical like some mech games. And the story is pretty crazy and hilarious as well. It's like an alternate history WWII with TV monsters.
Trenched sounded good, until I saw that Double Fine made it.

Gross.
I wouldn't write this one off if you're not a fan of them. This game is not like their other stuff. At least give the demo a try.

I agree. Double Fine is :puke:

I'm downloading the demo right now, actually.

That and Lucha Fury. :bouncy:

Agreed.
I think I need to save my megabits on my internetz for the Sonic Generations demo.
You are making the correct choice.

Was interested until tower defense. I hate Tower Defense games.

This isn't your standard tower defense, so I'd still say give the demo a try. If you like the shooting, you could focus on that.

I've got it downloading now. I'm hoping I do like it. Haven't disliked a Double Fine game yet.

Stacking = :puke:

No it IS RE4's gameplay. Except now you can aim and move at the same time.
That description of Trenched doesn't sound half bad.
If you guys are legit down to co-op, I'll pick it up.

For reals? I loved both Psychonauts and Costume Quest, haven't picked up Stacking yet.

Don't mind me, I hate most everything. ^__^

So much for "The Original Hater". :nottalking:

That's lucky for you. Be sure that you don't get it.
Anyone who has played Outland: what are the odds that the popup combo in this game feels more like a DMC game than DmC when it releases?
You just made me interested in Outland.
If you guys are legit down to co-op, I'll pick it up.
I would be.

Psychonauts is pretty much tied for my favorite game of all time. And Costume Quest was one of my favorite games last year. Stacking is a great game in my opinion, but very different from Psychonauts and Costume Quest, which had a similar vibe.
I love doing the popup combo in Outland. :bouncy:
Yep, never got old. I did it the whole game.
No, I am 100% serious.

Grim Fandango HD for XBLA, plz.
Now I don't know if you are actually serious or just trolling me. :whistle2:k

I know I wouldn't mind an HD Grim Fandango.

I wonder how much of a pain in the balls it's going to be to go find the rest of the masks of the gods once I'm done... I know they put the treasure jars on my map cause I hit 30+, but not sure about finding the rest of them, especially since I missed a teleport site in the first stage somewhere? (middle one?)

Actually, I'm not trolling you. I've wanted to play it, but it doesn't quite work in modern OS's.

At least, the last time I tried it.
