"it's the only portable game console that caters to the core gamers" - What Kojima is trying to say is "fuck you Nintendo"

How the fuck did we end up with the ballsac sweat drippings that is FFX converted to HD but we're still waiting on that FF7 remake? :puke:
Also, how did this happen before the announcement of DMC Trilogy HD?! :(

I think Nintendo won this round.

MGS Collection and ZOE Collection were both announced at E3, MGS4 was hinted at
A LOT of Ports, and Remakes that are available on consoles day & date
Toro in SFxT kinda confirms the rumor saying PC, Wii U versions and exclusives for all systems
No Monster Hunter for Sony, 2 for Nintendo
No Kingdom Hearts for Sony, either

The announcement that piqued my interest the most was FFX HD, and that's also coming out on PS3. So I'll probably get that version.

If only I could roll an opponent's vehicle and then roll over him like a speed bump and still keep going like nothing happened in real life.
Got dayum. over 100 launch games for Vita? Granted, Ports, but still...Sorny is not fucking around with this one.
You sure about that, boss?:bouncy:

If Gears 3 wasn't coming out next week and I wasn't so focused on Super Street Fighter 4 at the moment, I'd get back into Demon's Souls. It's really a nice change of pace.

That sounds like some PR speak. If there really is over 100 launch games maybe sony is actually getting this right.

Slept like shit last night. The change in the weather has my allergies all fucked up in every way possible.

Edit: Just spent 5 minutes on Facebook writing "The answer to your problem is masturbation" on everyone that has a personal problem's wall.

26 actually. 100 by next March.

Ports and Remakes man. Ports and Remakes.
So the Vita's battery life is going to be as bad as the 3DS's.
Did you get used to the 3DS' battery life?
So the Vita's battery life is going to be as bad as the 3DS's.
How much faster is the Vita's processor(s), though?
It might be impressive to hit the same stats as 3DS if the tech is more power hungry.

Oooh, DoA5. I know Joel will love it. ;)
Did you get used to the 3DS' battery life?
I got used to sticking it in the dock whenever I'm not using it.

That still wouldn't make it any better from a user standpoint though.

Radiant Silvergun is up for download now. You all should go get it.

Done and done. I'm using one of those Madcatz pads to replicate the Saturn controller. It's pretty glorious but wow I'm out of practice.

True... but it's like expecting a new smart phone with a bigger screen, more cpu, 4g, etc. to get the same battery life of my old smart phone with a smaller screen, half the cpu, 3g, etc.

Without making the thing the size of the original cell/satellite phones, I think it's trying to get blood from a stone. :)

My problem is that I would want battery life to improve as time goes on (or at least stay the same). It seems like companies are willing to sacrifice battery life for more horsepower, when I think they should be restraining themselves to keep it balanced. 3-5 hours of battery is really pushing the limit in my opinion. I guess it's because I'd rather have a lower-costing system with a high battery life and lower horse power, as long as it has fun games.
New DOA5:

Hayashi stated he wants to create a "fighting experience" instead of a "fighting game". Is he trying to ruin DOA, too?
I saw this. All of my hopes are dashed because I'm afraid it won't be able to continue without Itagaki. DOA3DS is seriously missing something integral to the DOA experience and I'm afraid that between the lack of its spice and Hayashi trying to create a "fighting experience" that it will be ruined.

Still, that alpha build looks decent and I know that I WILL buy it (for collection purposes). It's just what happens between now and the game's actual release that determines whether or not it will be a day one purchase.

-------------
Vergil and Iron Fist look sweet. I'll probably put Vergil into my main rotation when it drops.

----------
Went in to my GameStop today and saw them unpacking Gears 3. I want it.

You can't ruin DoA. It's always sucked. :)
And "new surprises on Vita"... here comes MMX, exclusive character for PSV (like those two stupid cat things for PSV SFxT)

I can understand that to a point, ihadFG, but at the same point, people like me have trouble going back and playing games from older generations unless they're true classics... and with android phones running emulation for two generations or more back (PSX and before) those bases are covered. With portable (almost) 360/PS3 level gaming (which is my personal interest level in PSV), I guess I'm okay with the fact that I'll either be able to plug in most places before I'm out of a charge.

I agree that we don't need to go back to older generations. But what I think is that portables should explore the genres that don't require intensive amounts of power. We get enough of that from consoles. I want games in genres such as visual novels, adventure games, puzzle games, RPGs, sidescrollers, etc. None of that requires a PS3's level of hardware. I guess I'm just disappointed that both current handhelds seem to be going the "console games on a portable" route, when I've always seen portables as a separate entity from consoles, since they offer the kind of games we don't see on consoles.

DOA actually has a lot to love, I can understand why most people don't, though.

I really hope that the story in 5 is better than the shite they wrote in for the 3DS version and they get someone that can actually match the fucking cinematography type shit from the other games instead of having the terribly bland cutscenes like the 3DS version.

I want portables that have 2d side scrollers, damnit.

I 100% agree. If I want to play a PS3 or PC game I will do so on the PS3 and PC. I loved the DS because it has good RPG games, sidescrollers, puzzle games, and I want to see more of that. I find it kinda crazy to spend money on two devices that do the same thing, one is just hooked up to a tv ;). I bought the 3DS thinking I would see a continuation of the unique DS lineup but apparently it's not really happening at the moment. I hope it does at some point.

Yup, I did the exact same thing.

Man fuck Dog Fight Mode in the new Ace Combat. Straight up HAWX shit needs to stay in HAWX. I can control my own jet for a dog fight. Why do developers insist on making games that holds your hands through out the game?

yeah i hear there's no desktops or something in W8, and I take pride in making mine spiffy

You guys must either (1) have your own place or (2) have your own study/game room or something. I know when I want to play games, I have to figure out if my significant other cares about what's on TV or if she's doing something else. A PSV with perfect ports of games I like to play on PS3, that I can take with me to the office and play on my lunch break or sit on the couch at home and play without the need for a TV... that's the appeal to me.

As for the DS, I don't remember any sidescrollers that were very good... it did have good puzzle games and some decent RPGs (remakes) at least. :)

Someone's whipped. Tell her it's video game time and make her feel like she is unimportant because you spend more time playing video games than being with her.
