I can understand that to a point, ihadFG, but at the same point, people like me have trouble going back and playing games from older generations unless they're true classics... and with android phones running emulation for two generations or more back (PSX and before) those bases are covered. With portable (almost) 360/PS3 level gaming (which is my personal interest level in PSV), I guess I'm okay with the fact that I'll either be able to plug in most places before I'm out of a charge.[/QUOTE]
I agree that we don't need to go back to older generations. But what I think is that portables should explore the genres that don't require intensive amounts of power. We get enough of that from consoles. I want games in genres such as visual novels, adventure games, puzzle games, RPGs, sidescrollers, etc. None of that requires a PS3's level of hardware. I guess I'm just disappointed that both current handhelds seem to be going the "console games on a portable" route, when I've always seen portables as a separate entity from consoles, since they offer the kind of games we don't see on consoles.
