GGT 156 Once Again Flirts With Disaster.

Okay, first impressions... This feels really different from MvC3 and not in the "WOW! This is so much more fun!" way.

Vergil sounds too young and Frank really doesn't fit my playstyle.

FYI if you're looking at getting AC from Gamestop for the extra stuff, there is an expiration code on the slip for Jan. 15. Given Ubisoft enforced the expiration date for the extras in the AC: Brotherhood CE last year, I would take that into consideration with this game.

From what I was told ALL of the copies Gamestop got were signature edition ones so you should be able to get one up until BF at the earliest. Question is when Gamestop is resupplied if they get any more signature ones. My local one is still going through their initial week shipment of BF 3 LE so who knows.

At my midnight (about 50-100 there vs. 600 for MW3 and 250 for Skyrim) it was about 65% AC, 15% SR3, 15% Halo, 4% NFS, and 1% (one person who didn't preorder) for UMvC3.

Dude, what the fuck is up with everyone redesigning their characters? In Uncharted 3 both Chloe and Elena got different faces and now Assassin's Creed is doing it, too? fuckin' Desmond doesn't even look like the same guy! He looks like the bastard son of Borat and Niko Bellic!

Episode 4's out? I gotta get crackin' on those BDs...

He does look different, but he's one of my least favorite characters in any game ever so I can't bring myself to care. All he does in the AC games is keep away the fun parts.

According to Stephen Totilo (probably the biggest fan of the series in gaming media) the Desmond segments in this game are one of the best things.

Crazy thing about that glitch, I wonder how long it will last? I'm cool with the extra stuff I got and that I have my series of CE on all the AC games in tact.

Shit... too much to play this week and finals are in full swing >_<

Skyrim, HotD Overkill (gamefly), UMvC3, Saints Row 3 (gamefly), Super Mario Land 3D, FreakyForms

I'll probably finish HotD tonight and then play UMvC3 a bit then play Skyrim till I sleep and then get started on Saints Row 3 and Mario late tomorrow.

FreakyForms is the right kind of weird. Odd fun in chunks.

Hey, he's just a bartender. Cut him some slack. :nottalking:

All of the future shit is what I don't like about Ass's Creed series.

I always hated how clunky Desmond's movements and controls were compared to the in animus sections... his goofy running animations and the feeling like he's running in sludge. Ugh.

Ugh, didn't notice that the case on my Skyrim copy was all busted up along the hinge and the cover art is ripped with it..hopefully k-mart won't give me shit about the shrink wrap being off.

EDIT: Went okay.
That is a disturbing mental image, Joel.

Thanks for trying to snag a code. :)
I know, right? And no problem, dawg :D

Yeah, I hate him too, but that doesn't make me care any less about the fact that he looks fuck ugly in this for some completely unknown reason. I honestly really don't understand why you'd completely redesign a character out of nowhere like that.

The characters in UC3 look like what they're supposed to look like. Any changes are minor as according to the passage time. Do you look exactly the same as you did a few years ago? I know I've been wearing my hair shorter and my build changes as my diet and exercise habits change.

lol Look at this motherfucker.

Elena and Chloe's faces look different, not in the way that a different diet would change them though and not because of age. Elena's brow is different, which I don't think would really be something that changes with her exercise and eating habits. It just bothers me because I always thought that the Uncharted series had people designed this kinda animated way because it was supposed to be stylish, but now it's supposed to be some form or realism? Ugh, really not my cup of tea, ND.

I thought the added a bit more of Nolan North's face into Drake this time too..the one getting the most complaints seems to be Elena though.
Speaking of... where's Jimbro with the UMvC3 update?
Playing Ultimate Marvel, of course.

Dat Iron Fist

Yeah, I noticed that too, but Nathan Drake still looks like Nathan Drake to me... Elena and Chloe just don't look the same as in 2 and too realistic which bothers me.

Beat UMvC3 on very hard earlier for the trophy. It was actaully a lot easier in this than it was in vanilla! I just used Dante/Ghost Rider/Vergil and they destroyed the fuck out of Galactus in the end.

Just started up Assassin's Creed..wow. he kinda looks like Adam Goldberg now...but saggier. Ezio looks fairly different as well..nose seems much smaller.

If you're saying he acted like a flamer and a Mexican, then I completely agree.

They do look a bit different design-wise from UC2, but not in an overly dramatic way. The series has always used a semi-realistic style with emphasis on a bright color palette, and Naughty Dog has updated their graphics engine and animation library with each sequel. It's all because ND has been tweaking more and more out of the PS3 tech with each new game.

Anyway, I don't look at it as a negative by any means, and it didn't affect my enjoyment of the game.

Yeah, it didn't affect my enjoyment of the game either (I don't really like the Uncharted series except for the first one), but it did bother me to see Elena because she looks so weird now.
I got uraizen and Chac to buy this.

Game is sweet. ^__^

Working on getting ihadFG to buy it too.
Non-steam, right?
Otherwise, I like Stranglehold. I'd buy a PC copy for

I remember getting Stranglehold for 4.99 at GameCrazy on New Year's Day 2009 and enjoying it a lot. I don't think I ever finished it, though.

I don't know which reviewer wants attention or which one got bought.

IGN: "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the greatest Zelda game ever created. It's the best game for Wii and one of the finest video game accomplishments of the past 10 years. "

edit: oh wait, IGN gave Zelda TP a 9.5, nothing they say is relevant.

but the reviewers played zelda when they were kids
Comments on reviews tend to make me realize just how childish most gamers are.
people in comment sections are generally much younger i think

I sure hope so. I'd like to think older people grow past caring about scores as if a metascore is crucial to their identity.

Sadly not that is not the case.

Would like to play the new zelda game, but ugh on buying a wii.
