I'm tempted to because of the exclusive Nemesis mode, but I probably won't because I'd also have to pay for XBL.
But the prospect of playing with me doesn't tempt you one bit?

I'm getting SFxT tomorrow from Newegg as well but not sure if I'm going to get into it yet.

Playing that hip new game all the kids are talking about, Mass Effect. Shooting is pretty bad but that and the Mako aren't as bad as I expected from how people talk about it.
why's that?
SOCOM: Resident Evil edition didn't really sound good to me to begin with -- seems like a cash in, sort of like DmC -- outsource to a western dev, give it an established brand name, hope you make your money back.

Resident Evil 6? Now that's another story.

Well no wonder why...you got the name wrong.

You still have to pay for the Nemesis mode.

I stopped caring about On Disc DLC as soon as I had to download 330 megabytes of Catwoman as those wonderful PSN speeds.

Sounds like you need a new PS3 or a new connection...
(or to stop using wireless :p)
That would seem to be the problem.

and as for their issued response on the DLC being on the disc to "save hard drive space and to ensure for a smooth transition when the DLC is available"...
If MK had the characters already on disk they wouldn't have run into those stupid disconnect issues and have to make people download those compatibility packs.

This is why Capcom games succeed.
Has anyone here actually played Socom: confrontation? Shit was straight up broke for months after launch.
Still have that game since launch. Shit was BROKEN. Took them a good 9 months to release a decent patch to fix a lot of the problems. At least Coldfront was a really good DLC and made up for it. Might have not been the best Socom, but it still gave me and my clan buddies a TON of hours of that SoCrack. Sucks that Socom 4 was pure shit.
Cart of J:

Hold on to that 7-day trial period offer for a wee bit, would you?
Only under one condition, you play on my server.

/edit: HAHAH Inf^Shini, I totally forgot that it did that. Awesome :D

So close to finishing ME2, just need to do Legions loyalty mission and then I'm basically done and can just do the end game. Should be easy to wrap it up by the time I'm libel to start ME3, which might not be till this weekend since I have some stuff planned due to this week being GDC. I'll probably sneak some time in to give SFxT a whirl before the weekend though.

Hey gaiz, am i doin it right?

Skype tonight is a definite non-possibility for me. After I left you guys last night, I passed the fuck out...
for two hours.
Woke up, and could NOT fall back asleep. So now I have to go to class for 14 hours, on two hours of sleep.
Yucky. Probably gonna pass out as soon as I get home.

Which means I can wake up at a good time tomorrow and get started on
Mass Effect 3
Hidden to prevent pissing off Uraizen

Also, anyone going to Pax East this year?

Clarification:

XCOM the FPS has been delayed until some time next year. I don't give a fuck about it.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown the strategy game is presently slated for a release in the Fall. I am very optimistic about it. It may be delayed yet, of course, but I am a patient individual. The fact that it exists at all is quite surprising.

Aye. And when the game that lets me be Commander X-Com comes out, I'll play it.

XCOM the shooter is not that game. XCOM the shooter is a game that does not need to be. It is a game without purpose. I can't even be angry about it now that Enemy Unknown has been announced.

Aren't you just happy to have more games in your precious XCOM universe? ;)
