It's only cuz you keep asking me to buy FFXIV. I don't want to do that.

I don't think I'm going to buy Star Wars either, cuz I'll have to spend $50 and that goes against everything I stand for.
Indignate says he wont play SWTOR with me anymore because he wants to play with you.
That should tell you something. Hint: you should play on Nadd's Sarcophagus.
Not if you move out of California.
Why would you suggest something like that?

/edit: I might be back out in Colorado again this summer for the Pikes Peak race.
But that's worst than being taxed a ridiculously high amount.
I hear anywhere else in the USA is nice, you should try there.

It's 1:50 AM on a Sunday and I'm drinking beer. 3 for 3. Whoo.

I've never been fucking censored.

And I'm glad.

Ok, that score is bad. Either the reviewer was biased and had an axe to grind or the game really sucks. I wouldn't count out either at the moment.

But I mean, come on -- it's like forcing Uraizen to play an RPG. On a good day, he might give it a 3.0.

3.0 is pretty fucking biased, I agree. The game at least looked like a half decent Ninja Blade knockoff. Most reviewers will be crying about how it's not like NG at all, which isn't fair.

Considering IGN only uses scores below 6 if the game is utterly broken, I'd say this is a bit mean spirited.
I think even you dipped before the real fun began, frosty.
I bailed when I was trying to concentrate on work and wasn't feeling the whole okcupid Mikey/Joel dynamic.
By the way, I hate you for living in a more metro area than I currently do. All the girls who I clicked on the links for were easily 10s (if not higher) for around here. :p

I didn't leave too long after that Frost (wanted to watch some more Mahoromatic, which is a fairly fun comedy anime), but I think you did leave before Joel got Mikey to send this to some girl:

"The first thing I noticed about you was your gorgeous eyes. They seem so clear and kind. I really love your picture on the Elephant! How often do you ride large, majestic beasts? Also, what subjects do you enjoy teaching? Look forward to hearing from you, darling. ^_^"

I think I saw that in the chat -- I'd hung up the call so I wasn't listening, but the chat was still open.

So I just read about people hacking the characters out of SFxT and using them. I guess my question is really about how this act becomes a bannable offense. They presumably bought the game (if they downloaded it, the point is moot) and while they might actually simply have a license to play it themselves (and not to rent it out or anything like that), how can you say that you can play part of what is included on a disc that you bought from us but not everything that is on the disc?

It reminds me of the old, old Quake 1 demo disc that included all of Quake 1 plus most or all of id's back catalog. You were supposed to put the disc in and (if I remember right), call some number with your credit card in order to get a code to unlock the games off the disc. Well Qcrack was a little program that decrypted the games on the disc sans calling id's hotline. It was obviously outside what id intended people to do with the disc, but I (theoretically) already paid $10 for the disc at Best Buy, it sits next to my computer in my house. How can something in that situation not be mine.

Its all about code licensing. You buy a game/program/whatever, you get what they want you to have.

The Windows 7 DVD has all versions on it. So if you buy Home Premium, are you entitled to Win7 Ultimate just because it's on the disc?

Yes, Capcom got busted for doing this shit and they gave a halfassed excuse. We know it's all about increasing profit margins. But they aren't the only ones to ever do it.

I realized that it's licensing but damn it's weird to look at something that I can physically hold in my hand and realize all those 1s and 0s aren't mine.

Yeah, I'm not too pleased about it, but mainly from a "Shit's done, but you can't have it unless you pay money for it in 6 months when the Vita version hits." perspective.

Oh man, how could you not be feeling that, dawg? That is golden Joel stuff!

While the line about the majestic beasts was pretty high quality, the general banter between you two was grating on my nerves last night -- couldn't tell you why, but it was. I think I decided I was done listening to it around the time you mentioned something about big bang theory girl who liked nerds and then decided she was okay because she had the right astrological sign.

FWIW, OXM gave it an 8.

I liked that part.

I was like half there cuz I kept doing other stuff and leaving the room. I was disappointed when I came back and the chat had ended.
So is Carl Davis Uraizen then?

These are interesting developments for me.
I figured that out but didn't want to mention it. I knew his first name was Carl since him and tmk has mentioned it before.

TMK saying he could beat him at Street Fighter X Tekken has to be a joke. He couldn't beat him at SSFIV. So what chance does he have in Street Fighter X Tekken?
