I'm 33 and text some. But not a ton--just have the 250 texts per month plan and have went over it once in 5+ years of having it. I'd generally rather call or e-mail than text.

Have been texting back and forth a lot with this girl I've started dating--who's a couple years older than me oddly enough. But even with that I'm at like 130 texts this month (my bills roll over on the 6th)
I could have sworn you were married and had children.
I could have sworn you were married and had children.
Nope. Never been married, and pretty sure I don't want kids! :D

I'm 22, want kids, almost been married once and going to be engaged again soonish hopefully.

I text like a fiend. Used up almost 11,000 texts last month.

Doesn't Steam usually have a Spring Break type sale?
I called Hank once. But then I just breathed into the receiver and hung up
Oh shit son, that was you? @__@

I felt like I was gonna get raped.
Nope. Never been married, and pretty sure I don't want kids! :D
This.

I may just get a vasectomy to guarantee no kids.

What is this "almost been married once" shit? You've been engaged like 7 times.

11,000 texts is impressive. Do you text in your sleep?

For the record, there are 43,200 minutes in a 30 day period. So you'd be sending/receiving a text about every 4 minutes for an entire month. Madness.

Yes they do, and yes I did.

Aww, but you would be a great dad, Hank!
Aww, but you would be a great dad, Hank!
He sure would. He convinced me with that subliminal shit he was saying last night on skype -- the shit he didn't remember saying? Y'know what I'm talking about.

I've heard this before. Maybe somebody, but not today.

Can you imagine the sitcom based around the premise of hank being a father?
It'd be like "the shit my dad says" but the original funny twitter account, not the mass marketed failure with william shatner.
And hank, I mean this in the most flattering way possible. :)

Now teach me your wavedashing mist step secrets.

LOL, Amazon is accepting returns of open copies of ME3 for full or partial refund based on the fact that the developers suck and caused you to not enjoy the game.

After another lengthy pause, Amazon told us they would “issue a full or partial refund if you are not satisfied with the quality of Mass Effect 3, and it is the developer’s fault.”

$20, here we come.

S'pose now's the time to pop in and say that I've finished ME3?

My earlier predictions about it were entirely accurate. Completely spoiler-free shit followers.

The inventory and weapons system is a thousand times better than what we had in ME1 and ME2. The weight mechanic is awesome. Sad not to see a hybrid heat/ammo mechanic. New levelling system much better. Fewer useless powers. Melee mechanics are improved, but it's very easy to miss the last hit of the combo. Wish there were more upgrades. And SMGs. Did anyone use an SMG in this game? Why the fuck would you use an SMG in this game. If you used an SMG in this game, please come to Saskatchewan so I can hit you.

"Rolling" is bad. It looks silly on enemies, and it makes them behave predictably (eat a few shots, cartwheel sideways, usually away from cover). I died many times on one terrible boss fight because I refused to believe that it could be beaten entirely by spamming "roll". And rather than adding mobility, it mostly just makes you do the wrong thing. Wanna take cover? fuck you, you're grabbing some medi-gel. Wanna roll? No, you're picking up a heavy weapon on the ground. Wanna get medi-gel? Hope you like rolling, asshole. ME2 mapped too many god damn things to the spacebar, and the fact that ME3 not only keeps all those old things on the spacebar but adds this to it? Painful.

Rolling aside, combat is a good deal more dynamic.

Landing hits with biotic powers seems... unreliable.

A few "dramatic" moments completely missed the mark and caused me to burst into laughter.

Graphics not improved much aside from holy shit the eyes are so much more detailed now, but it runs a lot better than ME2.

Some of the new enemies are terrible. Phantom, I'm looking at you.

I never expected a great ending, but what they gave was bad in a very surprising way. So... points for surprising me, I guess? I dunno. Guaran-fucking-tee that the ending will get fucked with via DLC. 100% chance of ending-fucking-with. And not because of some "community backlash" shit, either.

EDIT: Also, why can I still not modify my squad's skills/inventory while on the ship?

Hmm. . .that sounds like a great idea. . .I should pitch it to a network executive.

Wavedashing has a weird timing in SF x T. All I do is F ~ D,D/F then F,D,D/F,F,D,D/F,F, repeat. It's easier than in Tekken once you get the weird feel down. IMO anyway.

And lol @ Ass Effect 3. Nobody likes that pile of shit. :bouncy:
Soldier. Immunity is broken.
Suh-weet. I actually ventured over to Gamefaqs and found out the same thing.

Although I think the highest difficulty I'm allowed to play on with this new character is Hardcore. Oh well. I'm still on the first mission, we'll see what I have time for tonight after studying.

The neutral pause's weird ass timing is what fux me up. If you hold it too long, you get nothing. if you don't hold it long enough, you get jack shit. :S

Yes, that's the hard part. Timing is a bit weird, but it's not bad once you figure it out.

I've been playing Tekken since day 1 US PS1 version, so I've had practice with the weird timing. It doesn't feel as fluid in SF x T to me, but it's close.

I've been doing the special step since tekken 2, like a boss.
This just feels so much different, there's something fucked up with the animation. Also, I use a stick now too, so that might be part of it.

I told you.

F, D/B, D, D/F

There's an easy version of it.

You told me, I tried it, I can't do it like that. F, QCF works a little better for some reason in my case?

Ran 9 bags of shit to the recycling bin. Yes we have a big ass bin in town. Old man pulled up as I was on my last bag, so I carried his measly two bags up and put them in for him.

Good deed for the day is done.

Well it was only serious enough once to really be a whole getting married thing. Engagements are cool.

I do sometimes, but that was really just pure hyperbole on my part. The number is actually closer to 5,000. I text pretty much 24/7 so they kind of get racked up easily.
I'm cleaning out my garage. Sucks.

Love this weather.
I wouldn't mind the weather if we didn't have a thunderstorm every fucking day. There's one every day for the past 5 days. Some not to bad but still.

It's alright. Not a very polished game so there's a lot of weird glitches, but I'm enjoying it.

The AI is really really stupid though. One of the AI controlled characters on my team kept throwing grenades at me.

Good thing it doesn't matter if the AI controlled characters die.

I continue to be in a kind of gaming funk. Ass Creed Revelations isn't doing anything for me. I have SCV and SFXT but don't feel like jumping online and getting my ass handed to me.

I did play a fair amount of 3DS on my trip though.
Didn't someone say it got a 2/5?
That's .5 higher than IGN gave NG3.
I get the feeling that IGN was being too harsh with their NG3 review. I won't know until I play it, but a 3 out of 10 (to me at least) means the game is broken and/or unplayable, which doesn't appear to be the case.

Addendum:

Roid Rage McSpanishguy is unneeded but inoffensive. Terrible looking lady reporter has fuck all for lines and is a bad voice actor. Maybe he's supposed to be a counter-point to the "grizzled veterans" that you're constantly surrounded by? I don't know.

The fact that I can actually have all my squadmates wearing fucking armour is greatly appreciated.

The new scanning mechanic feels pretty silly sometimes, and the lack of fuel depots makes space exploration a pain in the ass.

There is no reason for renegade/paragon to even exist any more. Which is a good thing, I guess, but it makes me wonder why it still exists.

I'm kind of in a gaming funk, too. Nothing is grabbing me like it used to. I think this may be a sign that I need to take a year or two off. Makes sense consider all the shit that I've played through in the last two years, same thing happened back when I got into high school.

Is the game bad? I just picked it up from gamefly for $4 today.

Sine Mora is really good, btw. Anyone that likes Shmups should at least try the demo.

!

I mean, I played through twice on hard and kept restarting the game to go after the trophy for doing the 1st 4 chapters without dying on hard and I didn't care that I kept restarting.
