I think I'm going to go troll local stores and try and find someone breaking street date on RDR. My frothing demand increases...

I like Dragon Age. Then again, once I went through the process of sleeping with Morrigan, I felt like I did all that I really wanted to do, lol.

Dragon Age had the best combat system of any real-time pausable RPG I've ever played.

There was just too damn much of it. And did every back alley in Denerim need a tripwire attached to a flamethrower?

Genesis Collection achievements were pretty easy up until vectorman. That game is awful.

And I'm not playing the Saboteur or Medal of Honor Airborne anymore. fuck those games.

I still have no idea how the hell you beat the second stage of Vectorman.

But wait, you actually got the Fatal Labyrinth achievement? I think that's maybe the worst game ever.

Reach multiplayer is just awesome. I love the armor abilities, and Stockpile and Headhunter are ridiculously good. Halo does the objective stuff much better than the call of duty/gears type games.

Fatal Labyrinth was easy, just an awful game.

Vectorman is impossible and stupid. Your character takes up 1/4 or the screen, and any enemies nearby take up the other 3/4ths.

It is awful. You can use codes though to help with the achievements. At least in Vectorman 2 I know you can just use the stage select code to get the achievement. lol.

I actually liked Fatal Labyrinth, kinda wish I'd had it when I had a Genesis back in the day. I guess its the first Rogue-like I'd ever played.

That's what I did.

Everything in that game was easy except the Yatta! for MBM.

Amen, brother.
Metro has great atmosphere.
indeed
What about black?
here is what I mean

I liked metro, but it felt like a shit game with really nice graphics and atmosphere. Maybe it's because I bought it day 1 for $52.

Sounds familiar. . .:whistle2:k

Well good to know, but SONUVABITCH I decide to just put my old laser back in so I can at least play PS2 games and whatever, but now I have YLOD.

Seriously, WTF.

I can't decide whether to preorder Read Dead from amazon or try and go to TRU on my lunch break and get the $25 gift card there. Amazon has tax in NY so thats not even a factor..
?
Who wrote that about bio?
Nobody. Just that your observation about Metro works with Bioshock too. :bouncy:

Well, BS does some shitty ass graphics though.

Ohhh. Thought you were implying I sounded like someone on here, haha.
I loved Bioshock though, I liked the mechanics and everything. I didn't feel that way about Metro. The shooting felt very off.

So I removed the top part of the case and now it's working...I think after i get it running I should probably ditch the thing while I can. I hate to, but I dont know if I should trust it...
Picked up Picross 3D today using the Best Buy coupon and RZ certificates and got it for less than $5. Glad I waited =)
Isn't it awesome? Perfect for on-the-go sessions.

I absolutely adore 3D Dot Game Heroes.

Edit: Also, I can't believe anyone could possibly dislike Bioshock 1. That game was perfect.

The Vectorman achievements were easy to get because of the codes. It was Sonic Spinball that drove me nuts. I still haven't got that one yet...

Sure, if you could forgive the shooting and you stopped playing after the twist.

I didn't think the shooting was bad at all. I can't remember a better shooter that was out at the time for 360 and the twist happened kinda late in the game and I liked it. My only complaint was the end boss.

Yeah, no.

Terrible combat, the ending and the part leading up to the ending were all terrible.
Only thing I can give credit to Bioshock is its sound design... other than that I could care less about it.
How much less could you care?

The shooting was passable(At least for the console version). Also the twist was awesome, It's just that it went downhill from there.

The whole atmosphere was well done. Story got a little retarded in the final 1/3rd and the gameplay started to get repetative once the plasmids got old and the powerups stopped working, but still a solid game. [/opinion]

I loved both bioshocks. 2nd was a better game, 1st was a better story/world.

Started ballad of gay tony. That's some awesome missions. Going to play GTA4 until RDR gets here.

What was so bad about the combat? It seemed pretty similar to most shooters for me.

Finally got matched up for Bioshock 2 on Goozex. So my summer gaming is pretty much set. Finish Fallout 3 and all expansions, and then on to Bioshock 2. May be optimistic to finish both of those by August with other commitments!

To join the debate, I LOVED Bioshock. Great atmosphere, good story for a shooter, combat was fine. Last boss was kind of silly, but I didn't mind it and liked that it was easy as I loathe hard final bosses in games--especially when the last boss is way harder than any other part of the game. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth at the end of the game.

I'll back this up. I think sound and lighting had a large portion of how this played out.
Tonights gonna be a good night... tonight we dine in skinned puppies!
Seeing the thread about this has made me not want RDR anymore. I don't care about people's arguments that it's a game. I don't care that people think MW2's airport scene was worse than killing and skinning puppies. I see enough animal deaths at work, I don't have to see more of them in games as well too.

I don't think you need to do any skinning in order to complete Red Dead.

Alternatively, you can pick and sell flowers!

I think you're overacting a bit. From everything I've heard skinning animals in RDR is just another way you can earn some extra cash. The most you'll probably be forced to do is some tutorial mission.

My local Target had RDR on the shelf for PS3 today. I tried to get the clerk to ring it up out of curiosity but he was pretty adamant about it not working. I would've pushed harder if it had been the 360 version on the shelf.

That's fine and I understand why it's added in the game, but I just don't care for it, and it's honestly made me change my mind about picking the game up.

I'll be honest.

The first thing I thought was, "River Dance Ransom?"
