finished Lost and Damned in 7 hours 45 minutes, didn't really care too much about the characters by the end. I did enjoy that weapon buffet before the last mission though.
Boo for drinking. Having too many deep thoughts about what the fuck I should do with my life. And I hate it.
That means you haven't drunk enough.

that reminds me...got some maker's mark in the freezer.

I like Fallout 3, but it pissed me off a lot and became old to me fast. I loved morrowind and didn't enjoy oblivion much. I did beat FO3, but not the DLC. I plan to pick up the GOTY edition again (sold my first copy because I never got to it), and see how it feels, but Vegas isn't on my must play list yet.

So am I unaware of some technical issue with God of War 3? It seriously has frozen on me like ten times, and I have no issues with any other games.

I had a few problems with it... Game locked up on me two or three times and I had numerous graphical and sound glitches, but nothing that was super crippling. Maybe it's your disc?

--------------

WTF? That Mario 64 level recreated for Galaxy 2 has me really excited. I gotta have it.

More Fallout 3 tonight.

Played through the Operation Anchorage DLC. Thought it was quite good. Probably onto The Pitt DLC next.

You guys know Lost is ending this weekend?

Maybe we should just end the GGT too.

We don't want to go totally off the rails like they did.

Almost done with 3D Dot.
Love it. I guess I'll get all the trophies and whatnot. Not too compelled to play anything else.

3D Dot looks fun. I'll get to it whenever I get a new PS3, probably end of the year, I have a lot of 360 and wii games to play yet.

So I just wanted to take this time to absolutely gush over Borderlands. I love it so, so, so much. It's probably my favorite multiplayer game Besides L4D2.

Well 24 ends on Monday, and it's shaping up to be the most awesome thing ever. The GGT will continue!

About how long is 3D Dot Heroes? I may pick it up this weekend.

I think I'll wait for a price drop on RDR.

24 > LOST Jack Baur would kick the smoke monster's ass.

Get RDR first. But Split Second should not be missed. Just probably wait for $40. I got it for $40 on dell and I'm really happy with that price.

What are some good online multiplayer games on the Wii? The wife wants more, but I couldn't tell her anything other than Mario Kart, Smash Bros., and Animal Crossing and we already have all those.

3D is so worth it. Especially if you love the 8bit era classics.
Story only, about 10 hours, with sidequests, 15-16.
I'm probably going to finish near 20, I just love exploring.

Does she like Call of Duty? Modern Warfare Reflex is actually pretty good.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is also awesome as is Excitebots (And cheap, too!).

I wish Boom Blox was online!

And then there's a bunch of WiiWare titles that are like Dr. Mario, Excitebike, among others.

Hmm, so some more clarification on the 30 days notice thing.
At first, they made it seem like there was a downside to leaving now instead of working the next 30 days, but there actually isn't, if I leave now, I'll still keep my insurance for 6 months which was my only incentive.

In that case, I'm gone. Monday I'll drop off my laptop and remote crap.
Time to shred everything at my desk.

I'm just going to miss the freedom this job gave me, and nice perks like the remote access, the new building, new equipment, and the location... off a manmade lake complete with docks, monorail system to take you to local lunch places or other buildings, across the other street they're having the Byron Nelson PGA tourney... such a nice place to work... oh well.

I kinda want to play STALKER: Call of Pripyat again, but this time, do a good job. Really, really liked that game despite hating the last two entries in the series.

Also, my hands are shaking and i dunno why. Guess there's no Ketsui for me today.

Thanks a lot, Phillip!

She doesn't like CoD or Golf, but I suggested Excitebots and Dr. Mario! :D

Nobody liked CoD for the Wii.

Monster Hunter Tri...if she's into that sort of thing. Kinda tough, though. There's also a bunch of WiiWare games like Dr. Mario and Tetris that have online play support as well. Oh, and not to mention Excitebike World Rally (Or whatever it's called. I forget).

Okay, I finished episode 4 in Ace Attorney Investigations. Which means it's time for episode 5. ZOMG! What am I gonna do with my life after I finish this?

I'm tempted to play through Chrono Trigger DS. I'll probably hold off on Alan Wake till next week.

Damn, I've heard nothing but bad things from people who've played Alpha Protocol. Then again it looked like crap when 1up showed it on Gamenight. But I was hoping that it was just a bad level to show the game off.

I think I'll finally crack open Alan Wake tomorrow. From what everyone says it seems like a pretty short game and I'm hoping to finish it before I get my copy of Super Mario Galaxy 2 on Monday. If I don't I'm not sure when I'll find the time between RDR and Mario to play it. And now Chac is reminding me that I have to play Ace Attorney Investigations...

Did anyone honestly expect good things from a game Obsidian made? The company seems to exist solely to make poor follow-ups to games that people liked. And when they don't have someone else's work to desecrate, of course they're going to make a complete mess.

Can't wait for Fallout: New Vegas, though. What happens when they make a bad sequel to a bad game? I cannot imagine it! (C'mon guys, Fallout 3 really was not that good.)

The only Obsidian game I have played was KoToR 2. And that one was rushed out the door because Lucas Arts wanted a holiday release. But despite the games problems I still enjoyed it.

I have to somewhat agree... I liked Fallout 3 enough to enjoy it but it kept putting a bad flavor in my mouth. It didn't have whatever oblivion had.

I'm really enjoying Fallout 3.

I'll agree that I'm not quite as much into it as I was into Oblivion. And I think it's a few minor differences.

1. Prefer fantasy setting to post-apocalyptic setting.

2. Liked all the guild quest lines in Oblivion. Felt like a bunch of games put together, where as Fallout is just a bunch of random quests with fewer bunched together with their own story line.

3. Minor gameplay differences. Repair was better in Oblivion since you just needed hammers, not multiple weapons, armor etc. Liked being able to heal just by using the wait feature etc.

But Fallout 3 is still damn good IMO. I love games like this where there's a bit world to explore and tons of quests to do.

Alan Wake has 6 chapters, and so far the first 4 that I finished have been about 2-3 hours each.

I got her to try out Monster Hunter Tri, but she didn't really like it at all.It made me sad. :(

I told her to grab some Wii points and try some stuff out, but she's more of a mainstream gamer so she's afraid she won't know what kind of games to get, even though I said I'd tell her what was good.

There are many fine games for the excellent system known as the Wii, and as such would be an excellent choice to spend your hard-earned giftcard on.

I took my time and probably spent 8-12 hours on the game. This was with achievement cleanup too.

I'm missing: nightmare difficulty, all signs, all pages, all nightmare pages, all thermoses, all caches.

I'm probably only 1-2 off for the collectibles in most categories... just too lazy to go back looking -- might do the nightmare run someday and use a collectible guide to clean up.

Well I've been exploring a lot too, making sure to find each manuscript without a guide. It can definitely be completed faster than my time though. I was just saying that it can take up to 15 hours if you take it slow.

I took it pretty slow. And it was 8-12 hours with achievement cleanup for me. On hard. With runs to get the 3 30 point achievements for doing certain sections with special requirements. Maybe I wasn't lolligagging around and checking *every* nook and cranny since I was low on ammo and supplies, but I died a lot and took a lot of time exploring. It's a pretty short game.
