No touches yet, but plenty of attempted cuddling.
snakemaster? how did that go?
Not well at all. Lots of heavy breathing, mumbling, and telling us we had sexy voices. Crotch blamed me for ruining the night.
GGT needs to upgrade to teamspeak/mumble.

30 minutes until the only console you will ever need in the future is revealed!
Nope. Skype's where it's at! And YES! WOOOOO! XBOX BOX!
OMG TV!

Seriously who watches tv?

(premium shows such as Game of Thrones is totally not regular tv)
It's not TV, It's HBO

Heh heh... Microsoft's next system has a Blu-Ray drive. The irony is delicious.

They kind of had to. I don't blame them. But it's still a little ironic.

What a weird dude.
I'll hold judgement on games til E3 we know this wasn't to show off games.
28 minutes in and we got EA sports games!

They started off the game announcements with EA. That was a mistake.

All four games they mention are sports games. That was also a mistake.

I hope they announce a legacy of kain HD collection. Judging by your name you're a big fan although I don't remember anyone named Richard but you're probably such a big fan you knew that first name of a character in the game. Crazy

I'm also noticing not one bit of gameplay...

I'm pretty intrigued by Xbox One if it all really works as well as what they're showing.

As someone who's pretty lukewarm on gaming, and spends a lot more time with my home theater set up watching TV, sports and movies than I do gaming, there's a lot to like in what they've shown.

I've gotten my home theater more simplified over the past year or so by getting a new receiver with HDMI inputs, combined with a Harmony remote etc., but it's still not near as seamless as what they're showing. Especially with the clunky DirecTV DVR taking 5+ seconds to change channels sometimes etc.

But still lots of questions about whether it really works as quickly as what they're showing (which is likely faked rather than real time with a working console), whether the new Kinect will work in smaller rooms unlike the current one, whether you can use it with any TV provider (I love DirecTV and don't want to go back to cable) etc.

I also like that they didn't change much of the controller design as I love the layout of the 360 controller with the offset analog sticks etc. Just looks like they improved the sticks and d-pad etc. which is great.

Will be interesting to see how it pans out. With all this focus on the TV stuff etc., I doubt the hardcore gamer crowd is too thrilled with this conference. But it succeeded in getting this very casual gamer interested as it looks like it could be a great addition to the home theater (if it works as shown) even if I seldom played games anymore.

First 20 min: its an advanced set top box......second 20 min: a couple of stats, speech by guy from one of the most hated gaming companies.....oh and its getting EA sports games. DUH.

Im pretty disappointed so far. I bet Sony is pretty happy.

Yay Forza
sports games are a pretty big deal, but yeah, nothing really being shown at this event...
They're a big deal, but they're also a known quantity. Of course EA was going to be bringing their major sports franchises to Xbox One. That was painfully obvious. Announcing that is like announcing that the sun is rising tomorrow morning.

And the bullshots begin.

The PS4 press conference was boring, but at least it showed and talked about the shit I wanted to hear about. This press conference has been all about watching TV and a bunch of games I have no interest in.

Microsoft has at least not made the same PR mistake that Sony did. There is a women on stage. A tastefully dressed, respectable-looking women. Kudos, Microsoft, very progressive.

The only difference so far is that Sony brought in a bunch of developers to talk about what they are going to do. Now it is just a bunch of suits telling us what you need to have to experience your tv properly.

Sometimes we need less and not more?

She's also old and ugly.

Glad they got a more attractive woman on stage now. Kudos Microsoft, very progressive.

Yeeeesh, no offense, Bonnie. But I would prefer the older woman. Poor Bonnie just doesn't have very much speaking presence. She doesn't come across as very natural.

That's why Sony didn't have any women on stage. Women can't make games.

ZING!

Seriously though, it could have only helped them.

So they keep on saying exclusive, but we only saw Forza 5.
