GGT 30 comes free with PSN+
Yeah, I'd rather play Majora's Mask before moving on to TP, but getting kinda burned out on Zelda.

No love for Gun?

Guess I'll try Killer 7 next then. I still gotta get thru Gannondork's castle first.
Gannon's castle is short.

Majora's Mask can be overwhelming. I used a guide for a lot of it and was still overwhelmed.
Congrats, Chac!

I'm almost at the end of Ocarina of Time. Not sure if I wanna tackle Majora's Mask yet or not. I've got a handful of other Gamecube games in my backlog. Which one should I play while I wait for my PS3 to be repaired?

-Beyond Good & Evil
-Killer 7
-Gun
-LoZ: Majora's Mask
-LoZ: Twilight Princess

That's the entirety of my Gamecube backlog. I'm leaning towards Killer 7 or Gun (mostly because they are shorter than the others.)
While I'm a huge advocate for Killer 7 being a must play (even if the control is a bitch), go with Gun. It's long enough and short enough and fun enough.

Avoid the PS3 Red Dead thread if you don't want the game spoiled for you - there's an non-spoiler tagged spoiler in the last page.
Been playing Magic and P3P. Crackdown 2 was a disappointment. Thinking about starting up Demon Souls.
I wanna play P3P but got enough long ass games to chug through (Yakuza 3 primarily) long enough to wait on a good sale.

P3P is so damn addicting. This is my first Persona game and I seem to have been bitten by the Persona bug (to be completely honest, I haven't even played a Shin Megami Tensei game).

It downloaded and installed from PSN last night at about 11:30pm, and I am currently just over 6 1/2 hours.
Crackdown 2 was a disappointment.
Boo

*crosses off crackdown*

The summer drought for me continues...

still wondering what i should do with my sealed copy of crackdown i got off amazon for $34

debating whether to return it or wait and hope amazon/gs or someone will give me a higher tiv than i paid for it

Deathsmiles is a real good time. Even though I'm turrible at it, the game just automatically puts a smile on my face...or is that a deathsmile? Anyway, Aksys did a fantastic job with this port and I sincerely hope they can find it in their budget and schedule to do more.

The Deathsmiles box is so tiny and cute. (loli art notwithstanding)
I expected it to be a lot bulkier. Still haven't opened it.
Not playing portables?
What's on the portables? I haven't noticed anything of interest.

Persona 3 Portable? Dragon Quest IX? MGS Peace Walker?
Persona 3 Portable? Dragon Quest IX? MGS Peace Walker?
Hate any and all RPGs ... except Demon's Soul for some god forsaken reason. Don't like the gameplay for MGS, so I have no interest in that.

Anything else? ^_^

What? Are you even human? ;)

The only other handheld game that recently came out and isn't an rpg that I can think of is Mega Man Zero Collection.

Now that one catches my interest, but alas... no DS.
Well I suppose your next option will be a console game in the form of BlazBlue CS :D :D Few more weeks. YAY!
Hell yea! BlazBlue CS! I won't need another game for a while after that hits. At least until the end of October for VANQUISH! \\:D/

Big maybe on Gaylo Reach Around in September though, since my friends like Halo and all. Well... my friends who have a 360 and pay for XBL Gold anyway.

What I don't understand about PSN+ is why doesn't everybody just wait a year or six months and then subscribe because you'll get 12 months worth of free shit then plus whatever they start adding.

It's a cumulative thing, right? If someone put a gun to my head and made me sign up for PSN+ a year from now, I'd still get Wipeout HD free like everyone did when they stupidly signed up last month, I think.

It wouldn't make any sense for it to be free only to people who subscribed that month when it was made available. Then they'd have to repeat offer the same content later months which would piss off the people who already subscribe.

The whole thing just makes no fucking sense. That's probably part of the plan. Catch stupid people who will just sign up for it because "OMG I LOVE THE SONYS" and then water down the content in later months.

I bet 4 months from now the free shit is mostly avatars and premium themes, and less actual game content. Just like Pulse, which started out with demos and betas.
There's no way they can offer their premium content like wipeout HD every month, and no way they'd pay 3rd parties to make their content available free. (I can't understand how a 3rd party would just offer up their content without some compensation from sony)

I'm pretty sure it's on a 4-week rotation for stuff.

I'm pretty sure the PSN+ items are only available for that month. So you'll get certain discounts/free stuff every month. And there is no reason to get worked up over it, it's just an added thing that's not required. It's like buying an Edge card, if you buy a lot of games and want a free subscription to something (plus some extra stuff) you get it. If none of that appeals to you then don't worry about it. And no I'll not be getting it...

Why wait a few months for plus when they were offering an extra three months if you signed up last week? The price of it stays the same and you still get all the free content.
The Last Story looks pretty damn awesome, hard to believe (it's unfortunate?) it's a Wii game. I want!
Yeah, when I saw the trailer I had to double check that it was a Wii game. Apparently the Wii is now the go to console for JRPGs this year. Hopefully both Xenoblade and The Last Story come to the US.

I'd really like it if Square hurried up with Dragon Quest X. Although IX is coming out soon, so I'll play through that. Nintendo needs to tell devs to put out these Japanese focused games out elsewhere sooner.

I'm also nearing the end of Dragon Quest V at the moment. I'm guessing I have around 5-6 hours to go, maybe a TINY bit more than that. It definitely has a big edge over IV for me since in IV you had to go from Level 1 to Level 15 four times in a row before you started playing. I didn't even make it to the final chapter of that one because it was so tedious.

I hope I can beat V before I get IX from Amazon (so I'm guessing a week and a half) so I can say I've actually beaten a Dragon Quest game going into it.

They both look like average RPGs with semi-interesting battle gimmicks.

That's about the best you can hope for with RPGs this gen though.
Anyone else see that Last Story trailer? It actually looks really good.
I found it hilarious that part of that trailer focuses on showing off a similar animation technology that was featured in Assassin's Creed for two walking characters colliding with each other (except it seems a little less fluid).

Other then that the combat system looks interesting and the visuals are nice; but the lip syncing and voice work didn't seem all that good.

I'm in two minds about GT5. It looks fun -- they definitely improved the sense of speed and all that. But at the same time, I've never liked the progression of GT games. You just buy your way through races. Can't win? Get a better car and then smoke everyone. I dunno... maybe they did something about that.

I'm finding it hard to progress in Tales of Vesperia. Not because it's hard or difficult to figure out where to go next, but because I can't stop grinding
Just voted for you again. Which makes 3 times now. gg's a couple of days ago in SSFIV. :bouncy:
Oh shank joo shank joo ;) Definitely some fun time with SSFIV. I forgot to tell you I have Neo Geo Battle Colliseum too, except it's not on the Xbox.

I have it on PS2 as well. Its useless for me on that since it has no online. That's the only reason I bought the xbla one. I had a good time with SSFIV. *wink* *wink*
SSFIV?! Oy! Who do you guys main?
Eh, mostly Ibuki, although I'm trying to learn Rose as well since I find her pretty fun.
SSFIV?! Oy! Who do you guys main?
Ken, Ryu, and Akuma... but I also play Gouken for variety.

Nah, I probably main Fei Long... though I've still been meaning to learn Dudley and Cody.
Day 3 of voting! :D
And I voted again. 229 as of this writing...

Hm, haven't been following it, but saw some new gameplay vids of Lost in Shadow and it looks pretty good. A bit of echochrome in a puzzling adventure...

Cody seems to be popular. Enjoy learning Dudley Chac, I bet you'll drop him like a rock, LOL.
