If you let your Edge card expire do GS start sending you Game Informer mags after a while?

They've started sending me the mag and I'm wondering if it's an attempt to get me to sign up again.

EDIT: Benjamouth, that has never happened to me, once my EDGE card expired, so did my GI subscription. I thought they were going bankrupt for a while, so maybe this is their way of keeping customers?

The review on Joystiq was quite damming, it sounds like they haven't improved anything. I think I've played enough Crackdown, maybe when this hits $20 I'll think about it.

On the second to last mission in Transformers. I really dont see myself playing this game on Hard, some of these levels are just freakin insane.

I picked up my copy of the Metroid Prime Trilogy for 34$. Too bad I don't have time for it right now... I have Peace Walker and P3P waiting to be played. But I think I'll pick another 2 copies to sell off later.
 
I would have got P3P for my Go but I wouldn't be able to get that hat... that I really didn't want. I would have gladly taken another CD or something else.

Blockbuster GamePass, I just go the day the game comes out and have had success, but I guess it could depend on your Blockbuster.

It's like 22 a month. It's great right now because I can't really afford to buy games atm, but can afford 20 a month for it.

I thought about that, but my BB seemed to be out of everything when I went (Transformers, Singularity, Lego HP, Split/Second).

I decided just to keep getting games cheap.

I used to be near this rental place that held everything for me and only cost 15.00/month. :(

I think my biggest problem with renting is I always feel rushed to finish a game, because I want the most value from my subscription.
 
I got my copy of Deathsmiles today as well, I'm looking forward to playing it a little today after work and the gym. I really enjoy playing Espgaluda II for the iPhone so I have a feeling I'll enjoy playing Deathsmiles.

you should feel more rushed buying, even if they're sort of cheap... because then the trade/sell value plummets, the longer you take.

Lunar SS has some pretty bad loading times. Ugh. I brought my PSP to work, and barely got to play.

This is how I feel, which is why I hate buying retail unless it's multiplayer and I know I'm going to play it for awhile (MW2, SSF4.)

I disagree, I enjoy buying games so I can play them at my own pace. I never really liked the feeling of late fees hovering over my head.

Same here. On top of that, I play pretty slowly usually. For example, I'm still playing through Red Dead and only last night made it to Blackwater. >_<

Of course, I tend to have game OCD and jump all over the place as I see fit. :p

With the Gamepass or Gamefly there are no late fees. I don't feel bad at all for keeping games for a week+ because it's a pretty cheap investment.

When you're on one of those plans, there are no late fees, it's just like gamefly, I believe.

In this case, you get game x -- you like it' but it's short... it only cost you 1/4 of your month subscription without the hassle of putting up $60 up front, followed by listing it on ebay/half/amazon, then shipping and getting paid or worse, taking the hit and getting $40 for it from GS.

There's no reason to ever *not play at your own pace*. Unless you've borrowed a game from a friend and they finally want it back... ;)

The problem with that is I'll just end up wasting more money on a game then I would have if I had brought it. Thats exactly what happens to me with Netflix... I really should watch that copy of super mario. I've had it out for 2-3 months sitting there unwatched.
