GGT 30 comes free with PSN+

Yeah, it's weird I know, but think of it like this...

I'd rent the new PoP game, and if I go at my own pace, I'd take about a month to beat it.

Or, I could just buy it for 25.00 and not worry about rushing. I know I'm not obligated to rush, but that's always how I feel. :/

Sounds a little TMKish.

Of course this is the first summer I'm actually interested in all the titles... Guess I might just grab Castlevania.

Well, as far as Summer of Arcade, that new Lara Croft game looks pretty good. Not sure I'd drop $15 on it, but it might be worth it.
The problem with that is I'll just end up wasting more money on a game then I would have if I had brought it. Thats exactly what happens to me with Netflix... I really should watch that copy of super mario. I've had it out for 2-3 months sitting there unwatched.
Yeah, I'm thinking I could spend $25 a month and not finish a game for a least a couple of months. At that point, I'm already spending $50 or more so I might as well just buy it at discount thanks to the deals on this site. It's also nice having a game library at my fingertips I can come back to again and again whenever I want. But like everything in life, different strokes for different folks.
Playstation Store finally updated so I bought P3. Downloading incredibly slowly. Awesome.
What else would you expect from a PSN Download?
Don't worry, I'm sure it'll be just as overhyped amazing as Braid.
Let's hope so. ;)

Braid was one of the best games this gen. Or ever.
What else would you expect from a PSN Download?
For it to expire after 365 days?

EDIT: ^
Braid might be good, but it's not great. It's also not fun.
Yay, deathsmiles arrived today! Can't wait to play some tonight...
Mine has shipped, but probably won't arrive until Thursday. Has yet to leave Lexington, KY (wish it shipped from DE).
The VA in Arc Rise is so laughably, horribly bad. I'm so close to canceling my pre-order...
I still really want the game badly, so I'm not canceling my preorder.

My PSN downloads are normally fast, but I have my internet specially configured for PSN.

I just received Persona 3 Portable today, with the hat (yay for release date delivery). I barely feel like playing games tonight.
What else would you expect from a PSN Download?
It's usually pretty fast for me.

I'm downloading it through media go so that may be why.

I canceled mine.
I think I may finally pick up Super Stardust HD since it's $5 for PSN + members.
Do it.

Infamous 2 looks real good, but that gameplay teaser where you have to chase the limo...I hope there aren't too many like that--seems easy to miss that right combo of cables and rails to grind and end up somewhere you didn't intend to be...
Playstation Store finally updated so I bought P3. Downloading incredibly slowly. Awesome.
Same here. Can't wait to play, and PSN being slow doesn't help that .
I think I may finally pick up Super Stardust HD since it's $5 for PSN + members.
I had it since it came out. Absolutely loved it and bought all expansions.
I canceled mine.
It seems like the JRPG I just really want for Wii badly. It so looks like a TMK game. I'm also getting it for $20 due to using my SMG2 game credit. I hope it will be the last game I buy in July.
Do it.
I've played it at a friend's house before, and from what I could tell it seems worth the small price tag.

Also, gunm, inFAMOUS was easily one of my favorite games last year, so needless to say Im anxiously waiting for the sequel. But I totally agree with you about those scenes.

Some interesting things about the Crackdown 2 box.

- It's the first game(to my knowledge) to use the new logo.
- It's not one of the cheap cases people have been using.
- It had an avatar item inside it.
- No booklet, just a poster outlining key things...odd.

Anyway, I picked it up from Target, even though I ordered it from Dell for 39.99. I'll just do the old switcheroo when Dell send it my way

Hmm.... I really feel like I need to shave. I don't have a beard yet or anything, but enough stubble that it's bothering me. I'm also pretty tired, because I drank a lot of wine.

Maybe I'll play Tekken 6 tonight. Or SSFIV on PS3 if any of you are kewl enough to play.

You're referring to the new 360 case design? Deathsmiles had that and it came out last week. Not that it matters or is even slightly meaningful or anything.

The case used for Transformers War for Cybertron was really flimsy. I had to look inside to make sure there was a game in there (and to make sure it was still intact).

Speaking of which, I got rid of Transformers while it still has a decent trade-in value. My co-workers and buddies were not at all interested, so my main goal of co-op was lost. Glad I got it cheap and didn't really lose anything on it. Kind of like a rental I guess.

Good or no, I'm still put off by the new powers Cole has seemingly developed (reconstructive surgery and rapid hair growth...)
I stand corrected!

Also something odd...I went into the avatar editor and my drive got really loud for no reason.

Bizarre.
RROD here we come!
Was Cole's hair power in Infamous that he could not grow hair for the many days (or weeks?) that he spent in Empire City?
Hell yeah, dude. :p
And regardless of his hair, it still looks like they changed his face... and I know they changed his voice.

Apparently Cole is in the Federal Witness Relocation program after testifying against the Power Consortium in Empire City. They moved him to the new city and gave him cosmetic surgery to protect his identity.
The original Cole was a child predator, so they recast the role for the new game.
Fair enough. I can understand the decision to find someone new. But they should have found someone with a similar gruff/gravelly voice to fit. :\

Well, they like the Batman voice now because they gave the character a complete makeover and said that's not what they originally had in mind for the character...even though they RELEASED THE GAME.

When my brother originally played inFamous , I didn't really mind Cole's voice , but when he replayed it last month to finish the story as a hero and get more trophies he voice seemed really grating. Like he had a sore throat the whole time he was talking.
Have you even completed the game?
Nope. Hated enough of it to stop playing after about 20 minutes. Just don't understand it. So you can lump me in the camp of "Braid-haters" or whatever.

Braid's awesome, story aside.
One of the best puzzle games ever made.

I had to cheat once I think.
Felt good solving some of those levels.
You're referring to the new 360 case design? Deathsmiles had that and it came out last week. Not that it matters or is even slightly meaningful or anything.
I was about to mention that.

Braid was a pretty short game and finding out that Tim was
just an asshole that stalked/kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and that she was escaping from him (what a twist!)
kind of made the "deep" story a bit overrated. Looked at Wikipedia and some people say it's a metaphor for
the detonation of the first atomic bomb
? What?

I think you missed the point with Braid. It's not a terribly deep story, it's a deep game. The fact that a strong message could be channeled through what's equivalent to Super Mario gameplay with a twist is a testament to what video games in general are capable of.

There's no one theme to take from Braid, that's up to you. On paper, the big twist at the end really isn't that mindblowing, but playing through that final level as you realize what's going on? -- chills up the spine.
Let's hope so. ;)

Ever? Nah. This gen? Hell yea.
You guys are gonna send Frosty into a rage.
We can only hope.

Seriously though, I hope he wouldn't get mad at people for simply liking a game he's only played 20 minutes of. I can at least accept when a good game is just not my cup of tea.
