I seriously feel like I do better with him in 1v1s compared to 4 player ffa, I felt I had some good tactics/strategies down but they all pretty much didn't work. I try a different character and stuff works again >.<

I don't feel confident 1v1 at all. In groups I can set up smashes easily and tackle through crowds with my new forward B. Get it to 1v1 and I feel heavily restricted. I'm almost always the one that makes the approach and that basically boils down to using my forward air or my neutral air and hoping it doesn't get spot dodged (and that if it gets blocked I at least push the enemy away too far to punish me). Characters like Villager and Samus get plenty of time to prepare while I lumber around, too.

EDIT: Naturally, I feel better going up against someone like 'Dorf who has a lot of the same problems. Not having a projectile or much in the way of abusable super armour kinda sucks.

It doesn't help that they changed how Ike's forward B works a lot. It used to be that if it didn't come into contact with anything, you could go RIGHT in to an attack. Short forward B into jab combo isn't A Thing now because there's a bit of lag after you use it even if you don't actually attack with it. Makes it a lot less useful as a way of approaching, and it was never terribly good at it to begin with.

On the plus side, it apparently no longer gets you killed when people air dodge it? I heard? Dunno.

Depends. You still go into special fall when you do it in the air. If you're even a little off-stage, you're doneyun rings.

Apparently only Fox and Falco are special enough to get recovery after airborne side Bs.

But do air dodges still trigger the attack? 'Cause that makes it near useless for recovery. Ike's side special just feels really bad in comparison to the space animals', in air and on ground.

Also, lots of characters have had side specials that were at least useful in recovery. I've heard Jiggly's pound no longer moves her in the air, but it's not like she really needed it. Wonder if Marth/Cina's still helps with lateral recovery?

Oh, good question. Dunno if he still attacks or not.

They toned down the lateral movement on Marth and Lucina's side B, but charging their neutral B in the air moves them farther forward than the former ever did.

What about The Smashing Pumpkins?

Wait... the only time you will listen to Smash Mouth is when you play Smash, or you listen to nothing but Smash Mouth when you play Smash?
The Smashing pumpkins are amazing, just needed to say that.

Also why does CAG keep crashing?

I wanted to play Smash today, but I instead played a lot of Dead Island Riptide with my little brother. Man, that game can be surprisingly fun! It actually is so good that I'm going to attempt to pick up Borderlands The Pre-Sequel this weekend so he and I can co-op that next! Here's hoping he actually likes it!
