GGT 36 is better than anything JSP can come up with
Even with Broken Steel added on the only enemies that gave me problems are Radscorps and Deathclaws. Deathclaws are dogfuckers.
Normal Radscorps and Deathclaws we fine. It was the Albino Radscorps and those super Ghouls from Brokensteel that gave me grief. Both of them were much faster then you and were bitch to kill.
So it's 20.00 in store? I thought it was online only (or in store pickup).
Yup, got it right before I saw Scott Pilgrim vs the World.

The game isn't half bad actually, surprising given how terrible Sonic Tennis is. BTW, I'm calling it Sonic [sports title here] because it feels right. I expect Sonic Golf next year, though.

It looks like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Call of Pripyat are on sale for ten dollars over at steam. I highly recommend anyone who hasn't played these to pick it up. STALKER is amazing with the complete 2009 mod. It's one of the most intense and atmospheric games I've ever played.

Man, Splinter Cell is way more annoyingly archaic than I thought it would be.

Going to see Scott Pilgrim on Tuesday. 1 dollar drinks at the theater on Tuesday, eff yeah.

Any tips for weapons to kill Deathclaws with, then? They keep giving me problems.
Catherine looks so amazing. TMK is spot on with this I think. The 360 version being brought over is definitely a sign it is coming to the US IMO.

Get the big super mutant as your companion. That's how I handled the deathclaw sanctuary when I was getting the medic power armor.

Nope, I rarely ran into any of them so I never considered them a big threat.

Agreed, Atlus usually brings over anything they make.

Hey Broly -- you got any tips for how I should be proceeding now?

Missions left: 62, 63*, 64

*I might be able to do this one by breaking its legs with Vanille's summon, then spamming death
I tried 64 and had my ass handed to me. I don't want to do 62 because I'm not strong enough to kill adaman toise/toroises easily and if they're killing me now, I couldn't touch long gui and shaolong gui probably. But I don't know why, other than my weapons being stuck in tier 2. Most people are lv5 in main roles, lv5 in additional role, lv2-3 in all others.

I'm missing a lot of tier 2 weapons, a few tier 1 weapons, and all tier 3 weapons.
I have 98% of the accessories (or have had) -- only missing a few that require adamantite or dark matter to catalyst.

I have no idea how to proceed -- even if I kill a toise/tortoise with death, I'm down to 2 TP and need to magically make a 3rd bar appear before I can farm again (I've managed to kill one without death, but I don't know how I kept him on the ground for the extra time needed to kill him before he got up and destroyed me).

For awhile, I was doing a run down the *1 path of the titan trials -- it was netting me 200k CP and approximately 46,500 gold every 15 minutes or so... I just really seem to be hitting a wall here and I don't know how to proceed. :(
Get the big super mutant as your companion. That's how I handled the deathclaw sanctuary when I was getting the medic power armor.
fuck that.
I never once had a companion in Fallout 3 and I didn't really have that much trouble with Deathclaws. There's the Chinese Assault Rifle and one of the shotguns... if you have your perks set up right, you end up crippling their head -- and then it's not very hard after that. Especially if you have the perk that's "full VATS after a kill".

So I beat SW: TFU, but now I can't find the extra levels that were supposed to be included. I thought they they were on the disc, but maybe it was a DLC card or something o_O

For Toise, you want to either use mists before entering battle or buff at the start of the battle if you think you can do it. Then Slow, Phys/Mag DEF down on one of the legs, then get it to half health, then when it's staggered use Fang's Highwind. It should kill it. Death spam works too, but it will slow you down for a bit. For other Toise, you want a Tortoise Paradigm (Sen-Sen-Sen) to just survive.

Mission 62 is probably the toughest since you need to start with mists, then go for de-buffs/slow on both, then try and kill one. Highwind with Fang is the key.

Mission 64 go with Light (You), Fang and Vanille. That one is more about setup than fighting.

If you don't think this information is helpful, there are quite a few youtube videos about these missions done by players who aren't at max stats/weapons.

Where would you grind for cash in the meantime?

If it's like the 360 version you have to go to New Game then you'll have the ability to choose the DLC levels. You are playing Ultimate Sith Edition, right? You should start with the awesome Tatooine level!
Please don't buy STALKER... but definitely buy Pripyat.
For the Steam deal, you have to buy both.

I'll have 3 copies of OG Stalker. ^_^

There's some strategies in the PS3 thread about taking them down. You need to have Fang strong enough to Highwind each leg and then debuff the head and buff your team and then go to town.

Fastest way for money is farming traps once you get the strategy down, IMO.
fuck that.

I got the medic power armor at a low level, so it wouldn't have been possible without fawxe. I don't see why you wouldn't have him around; he can hold your shit and he kills the fuck out of everything.
Where would you grind for cash in the meantime?
If you use the Death spam strategy for grinding Toise, it's more about getting your TP back up than grinding money after you fight one (and presumably get an Ingot). There's one I want to say in that valley that's near a save point. You come up on it from behind.

My Fang isn't too shabby, minus needing a tier 3 weapon -- lv5 in main roles (sab/com/sen), lv5 rav, lv 3 syn, lv 2 medic. Something like 21000 HP and like 2600 strength, I think... her Highwind destroys shit. My problem is even after taking down the legs with a summon, with debuffs and buffs, by the time I stagger and start dealing mega damage, the thing decides to stand up again -- with the toise, not tortoise, I've killed it with a highwind just as it was starting to stand up and shake off the buffs/stagger... but just that once... the only time I've taken down a tortoise with the summon -> death method. :S
Looks like if I don't sell my Wii soon I might play other M. Just glad that Nintendo allowed actual backstory more to their characters.
I never really see the point in selling a system unless it's a complete upgrade (AKA no drawbacks whatsoever).

I think Metroid might be the only series that they can actually build a universe around. Sure, you have Zelda, but reincarnations of characters besides the villains just isn't much to go on. I mean, I guess they could explore Kirby's backstory.

corrosive, if you use death spam, don't really worry about debuffing except for slow.

There is a timeline for zelda. A goddamn convoluted one that hasn't been fully explained, but it's there.

Yeah, I'm 50/50 at this point on selling my wii... it won't be a loss or profit either way. My largest excuse to keep it right now is for all the gamecube games I havent played. Any el cheapo titles worth picking up? still looking for PN03

Link seems like a backstory could easily happen even with all the crazy timeline BS. Kid Icarus is another. FZero kinda did but needs more.

This took me a bit to figure out. To get maximum damage and assuming you got your guys maxed and with ult weapons (the proper ones, to), you want to make Fang party leader and go about knocking out the legs with Bravera + Highwind, just always play it safe and make sure you can switch to sentinel at a moment's notice.

Once it's down you need to give Bravera to Light and Sazh (and Fang) or whoever you are using, then do 3 man sabotage. Get all the important debuffs and make sure you get imperil on there. Once that is up, switch back to 3 man synergy and since Imperil is on the toise, Light's A.I. will cast enfire on everyone.

Stagger with tri-disaster and then switch to commando. I think you can kill it in one stagger. I honestly can't remember that well though.

The other toise that doesn't have attackable legs is hard but you use the same strategy and make sure you have enfire and bravera ready to go before you get the stagger. Once you get the routine down, those ones only take like 1-2 minutes to get down.

EDIT: And you need Genji Glove for Fang, stack strength as much as you can on your characters.

They sorta can't keep making backstories for new Links. They did it twice, and they sorta gave up on it for Twilight Princess because it was so much work to do it for Wind Waker.

I don't really know what kind of backstory they could give Pit except for this boy died young, wanted to help people, became an angel through some sort of Academy, etc.

Thanks, but none of that helps, technically -- I have 0 traps, so I haven't made an ultimate yet... -- my Fang has a Glaive* I think, waiting to become Kain's Lance. Vanille has a Marlboro Wand. I forget what most of the rest have... (Helter Skelter*, Battle Standard*... I forget Sazh/Hope). I'm pasting most other creatures, hell, I'm almost max CP. I just can't manage to fuck up toises consistently enough to get some traps or money. :(

I think I'm going to jack up my clay rings to get the 40% off earth damage or whatever and try the stuff I've found online with Fang/Light/Snow?

Hmm... my apartment's a complete fucking mess right now. I gotta build so much stuff :(

It'll be nice when everything's set up, though. I can watch Fist of the North Star and play those games from the Ubisoft "sale." Which I want to do.

Does anyone have first hand experience playing the Japanese version of Day of Crisis? My understanding was that it was voiced in English with Japanese subtitles, so it should be playable. I know someone who is going to Japan soon and I have a Japanese Wii and its cheap there.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 is the most poorly optimized piece of shit ever.
I mean what the fuck, Mafia 2 runs with full everything in 1080p at 30fps, and BC2 can only get a decent framerate in 720p on medium. For fuck's sake.

Maybe we should play NGS2 at some point, corrosive. I've been thinking of going back to it to try some more missions since I have a "better" internet connection now. I use "s because it may not matter with that game. I also have the uncanny ability to get better at games after leaving them alone for a while.

I still have a bunch of trophies worth aiming for, since the AI gets pretty fucking useless after a certain section on the missions. I'd be down sometime.
Do you have a backloggery or some kind of online list of what games you have cheska?

Finally finished up DeathSpank on the Xbox 360 for the double S-rank, at least it would be if Giant Bomb still had trophy support. Great game. Xbox360achievements.com has a list for another DeathSpank game, so I don't know if that's fake or not since it seems early for another game to be coming out.
