Battlefront 2 does look good, but I can't decide what console to preorder it on. Last time I got it on Xbox and I regretted it because I only played it with my brothers, but now most of my friends are getting a One X, so it seems the proverbial tables have turned.

I've been playing a lot of Horizon Zero Dawn this week. It's really a fun game. And not gonna lie, made me tear up a lot with Rost.

Also going to be playing a lot more Friday the 13th now that they've updated it with smaller maps. Hope it's running better today than yesterday, though. Last night my brothers and I hopped on to play a bit after the update went up and it was shit. We played 6 games and didn't get to finish a single one because we kept getting kicked from matches due to a connection error we've never received before.

Also also, them taking out team-killing has caused people to find fun alternate ways to kill teammates by running them down with the car. It's great fun.

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna get CIV 6. One of my Gamestops still has the CE, so I'm waiting for it to go on clearance and I'll pick it up then. Civ 3 was actually one of my favorite games ever, that game was super fun at the time, and thought me a ton about history. I played CIV 4 too, but it seemed way too complicated compared to Civ 3, but was still cool and had many new features. Never played Civ 5 but looking forward to Civ 6.

I give FFXV a lot more heat than it warrants. It's not too bad overall, it just really dampened my expectations by the end of it. But it's definitely worth at least a playthrough since it has some pretty cool gimmicks I don't see other games do.

Yeah Horizon Zero Dawn is one of my GOTY nominees! Fantastic game, and a deep and emotional story to behold. I saw you playing it a lot and was gonna ask your thoughts on it. A lot of people praise the graphics or the gameplay or story, but my favorite things are actually the more subtle details like the music and the setting/atmosphere. But the story is really amazing though!

 
I've been waiting on a deal for Horizon Zero Dawn before picking it up, but I've heard nothing but good things.

I'd like to try FF XIV, but I just don't have the time for MMO's anymore to justify the subscription.

 
I bought 9 PC games today. Rogue Legacy, Awesomenauts, Thomas was alone,  Punch Club, Stories the path of destinies, Nuclear throne, Jotun, Chariot, and Guacamelee. I don't know what most of them are... actually, I don't know what any of them are. But they look nice.

Anyone have any suggestions on which one to play? They all come with Steam codes.

I didn't know much about Rogue Legacy when it came out on the Vita and bought it on a whim.

Put easily over 30-40 hours into it. It's such a fun game.

 
My favorite thing about the new laptop is the PS4 remote play feature and being able to use the dualshock 4 with it. Runs so smoothly.

 
I've been pretty harsh on Red Velvet for a while cuz they went from hero to zero but this song is pretty good.

Wooo! I have said it before, but you have great taste! I need to get back into FFXV. I only spent 3-4 hours in, I think. I just got sidetracked by other things.

Yes! I agree, the sound cues in the environment is amazing. I know saying "immersive" tends to be a no-no, but that's exactly what it does. I play with headphones on and it's a beautiful experience. Just fantastic.

Keep an eye out for Best Buy. They're who I bought it from. I picked it up for $28 a couple of months back and I have absolutely no regrets. Fantastic game.

Guacamelee! Really great Metroidvania type game. Nuclear Throne and Awesomenauts are also quite good! Great purchases!

I've been playing a LOT of games the last few days. I've been (poorly) dividing my time between Mario + Rabbids, Splatoon 2, Pokemon Pearl, Hitman: Season 1, and Friday the 13th. Mostly been playing Pokémon, though. Pickup tolls hard.
 
Who else is planning to grab MvCI when it drops?

I have it preordered at GS from flips, but unsure I'll grab it if I don't have anyone to play with. I ended up skipping Destiny 2 because I saw the reviews on the length of the main campaign and I don't expect to play with anyone because I'm annoying.

Hope you enjoy Hitman Season 1, one of my favorite games this year!

I'm probably not going to get MvCI sadly. I actually really disliked it when it was first showed, and the roster reveal, trailers, and demo made it worse for me. But after seeing some gameplay recently, I'm a bit more favorable to it now, to the point where I actually want the game, but not enough to spend money/buy it on release. So unless I win it from Bum's raffle, I got around a 4/70 chance, or it drops to $20 in a month, I probably won't get it anytime soon.

I'm on the edge about getting Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash too now, after seeing some gameplay recently. But if you get that one, I'll definitely get it too! And it's only on PS4 so there's no need to think about which platform to get it on.

There's not too many other releases now after Persona 5 that I've kept my eye on. For fighting games, it's really DBFZ next year and that's it. Maybe I'll rebuy Tekken 7 if the DLC turns out to be good. And I already got the season pass for Injustice 2 so I'm good on that.

About as ready as I can be. At this point there's nothing else I can do but track the storm and wait it out.

I do wish I had more than one portable battery though.

I never really know what one is supposed to do in these kinds of situations to prepare. I mean they used to say "board up your windows" and "hide in your bathtubs with food and supplies" but isn't that kind of old school? Like who would want to mess up their house like that now? And isn't the bathtub thing a hoax? Plus, don't people usually hide in the cellar/basements now? Or evacuate if they can?

NY never really gets major hurricanes, the last one was Sandy I guess, but that didn't hit the city too hard.

I don't know exactly where you are, but I do know from the latest map that it's headed directly for EDJ.
