GGT 363 Found a Black Book but still got Whilewashed

I never really know what one is supposed to do in these kinds of situations to prepare. I mean they used to say "board up your windows" and "hide in your bathtubs with food and supplies" but isn't that kind of old school? Like who would want to mess up their house like that now? And isn't the bathtub thing a hoax? Plus, don't people usually hide in the cellar/basements now? Or evacuate if they can?

NY never really gets major hurricanes, the last one was Sandy I guess, but that didn't hit the city too hard.

I don't know exactly where you are, but I do know from the latest map that it's headed directly for EDJ.
Not sure what one is supposed to do.

I'm in the somewhat more central Miami area. Going straight to my location.

Would EDJ play Steins;Gate with me?
If EDJ doesn't I will. I actually haven't beaten it yet. Got like 75% there when we had it for the Backloggers Anonymous game of the month a while back, but never went back to it since.

I think EDJ mentioned one of the few animes he didn't watch or didn't pay much attention to was Steins;Gate. And I know for sure he never played the visual novel. Actually, I don't think he has played any visual novels in his life.

In the case of Irma though, good luck and godspeed.

I'm sorry I was never able to play God Eater 2 with you. Now I regret it. And it's still sealed.
I know I'm super late on this quote, but I saw it while replying to the rest and, man, I also want to play God Eater 2 with you guys!

Hope you enjoy Hitman Season 1, one of my favorite games this year!

I'm probably not going to get MvCI sadly. I actually really disliked it when it was first showed, and the roster reveal, trailers, and demo made it worse for me. But after seeing some gameplay recently, I'm a bit more favorable to it now, to the point where I actually want the game, but not enough to spend money/buy it on release. So unless I win it from Bum's raffle, I got around a 4/70 chance, or it drops to $20 in a month, I probably won't get it anytime soon.

I'm on the edge about getting Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash too now, after seeing some gameplay recently. But if you get that one, I'll definitely get it too! And it's only on PS4 so there's no need to think about which platform to get it on.

There's not too many other releases now after Persona 5 that I've kept my eye on. For fighting games, it's really DBFZ next year and that's it. Maybe I'll rebuy Tekken 7 if the DLC turns out to be good. And I already got the season pass for Injustice 2 so I'm good on that.
IT IS SO MUCH FUN! I beat Sapienza today and murdering people as a Plague Doctor outside of Assassin's Creed or Shovel Knight was one of the most fun things I've done in a minute.

I'm roughly in the same place for MvCI. The demo, poor art direction, and everything else just made it feel like a hard pass. I'm only really considering getting it because of the ton of GS credit I have left. Still, if I have no one to play it with it'll probably be a skip. I kind of expect it to drop in price like SFV did.

I was also considering picking up Peach Beach Splash because another friend of mine mentioned that he thought I'd like it. After watching videos I can't really tell if I would, but I'll consider picking it up. Only real exposure I have to the series is from the crossover costumes from DOA.

Yeah, not a lot else for me this year either. Probably just Battlefront 2, Wolfenstein, and Mario. Going to be a weird end of the year for me. I'm not used to having such an open end of the year, it's almost always filled with 30 games. Easier on the wallet, though. I'll just see more movies. You seeing It this weekend?

I'm not ready for this hurricane but yolo.
I like that. That's my outlook on things until 2-3 days before whatever it is happens and then I get anxious and overplan for something that doesn't happen in the end.

The bathtub thing comes from tornado and high winds advisories, I think. It's because bathrooms are usually the most inward facing rooms and they don't often have windows. If your bathroom has a window it's advised to go into a closet to hide.

I've only gotten storms off of Hurricanes while I was in the South, but I have gotten a ton of Tornadoes. Seen a few of them up close. Always crazy to see the destruction left behind by 10-20 minutes of a Tornado.

I picked up Destiny 2 today. I actually like it a lot. Feels like Halo 2 in terms of it being a massively better entry in the series compared to the original. I don't know how I'll keep finding time for all these games, though. Bleh. Time for poptarts and double XP.

I hope that all of you GGT members out there in Hurricane land stay safe. I love you all.

Especially you, Rai Rai. Not sure if you're still down there, but I'll be praying for you, brah.

I skipped the Steins;Gate anime because Chaos;Head was a completely shitty anime. I rank it as one of the worst I've ever seen and the main character is so annoying. I do regret skipping Steins;Gate tho since it turns out it was actually a good series from what I've heard and while I do have the series and the movie it's currently in my backlog at the moment. I did watch Robotics;Note when it aired which was okay, I didn't watch Occultic;Nine but I do plan to check it out however I won't watch Chaos;Child since I heard that's a sequel to Chaos;Head so fuck that shit.

Are all these ; things related?

Steins;Gate is good tho
They're all in the same universe but not direct sequels (tho I heard Chaos;Child is a sequel to Chaos;Head). One good example I know is that there's a little girl in Steins;Gate called Nae Tennouji who is an adult now during Robotics;Notes.

Sadly no, my sister doesn't want to watch it with me. And I've heard nothing but good things about the movie.

I usually hate creepy/scary clowns too, but the synopsis of the movie just seems too intriguing to pass up.

I also don't watch a lot of movies in the theaters, usually I wait for them to hit Netflix like I did for Rogue One. The last one I saw was Dunkirk, and before that it was Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and before that it was Logan. So really only big movies I go see. And usually only 5 or so times a year, unless a ton of good movies pop up.

I can't believe you would ignore Rogue One when it was so much better than Episode 7 and especially not support Felicity Jones by watching it in theaters and instead support Netflix. This is your doing for supporting Netflix.

Hey, movies are expensive, 2-3 movies are like the cost of a game. Plus, the closest movie theater doesn't have any trains or buses that go there, so I have to drive, and finding parking in that parking lot is impossible during a busy time. So I either have to go really early or really late. I love watching movies in theaters, especially Imax, but it's just such an inconvenience.

Netflix also gave me that Castlevania anime, which I loved! As well as Stranger Things, which was sick! As well as a ton of Korean movies and dramas, which are great!

Why did you compare it to the cost of a game?

We're all adults here we can discuss money in terms of actual things that matter.

Also game cost is a huge fuckin variable. It's like one dollar to 200 if you include shit like collectors editions.

Also have you never seen "It" before? Maybe we'll not all adults here...

Are you pumped?!
The Fall anime season looks to be the best season this year, especially with how terrible this last Summer anime season was. Love Live, Idolmaster, and Wake Up Girls all airing on the same season. What a time to be alive.

I've been without power since Saturday.

Send help.

I did pick up a copy of Ys VIII for the Vita, so I at least have that.

I've been thinking about upgrading my PC finally. This 770 + 2500k combo is running out of gas but shit, I didn't know the 1070 was $400.

PC gaming is for scrubs.

Vita is all you need.

Can't wait for more Wake Up Girls.

Hope Sunshine starts with them having lost because Chika went psycho.

My babies are making it big. :)
I heard this on Soundcloud the other day. Shit so gooooo.

I've been playing Destiny 2 a lot since my girlfriend's been playing Mario + Rabbids a ton. She's almost done with the game though, so I'll probably go back to it soon. I just hit 20 in Destiny tonight and i've been having a blast. So nice to play with people, too.

Goro Majima. That crazy fucker is everywhere.

I think Sega should implement the "Majima Everywhere" event into all their games. Running along as Sonic, when bam! Majima pops up in Casino Zone to dish out a beating. Bayonetta vs Majima would be almost as epic as Miku in a dance-off with him.
