You wonder about creativity when the big reimagining of Dante was basically their creative director and it took a year to do it?
That does explain quite a lot, yes.

I really just want to meet some Ninja Theory developers and play the Enslaved demo with them, and maybe watch the DmC trailer together afterward -- just to ask them some questions so I can better understand the minds that are behind some of the shittiest work I've ever seen.

Im trying to figure out if I want to get RE5:Gold to play with the Move. It's not one of my favorite games, and I've already beaten it, but I heard it's actually fun to play with the Move, something about it being like an entirely new experience.

I can't imagine that game being fun no matter how you play it.

I heard the DLC is better than the actual game at least. Wouldn't be surprised after my last recent venture into SP DLC.

Just finished Battle Network 2. The game has its issues like all of the series, but it was fun to go back and play through one after not playing the series since 6 released years ago. Seems absolutely insane to think it was seven years ago when I first started playing the series, that just blows my mind. I still have 5, which I'm partway through, and 3, the first one I played, which I reached the final boss of but never beat--I'll probably restart that one sometime.

well im so glad i didnt go for the legendary edition of halo reach

its already discounted $10 off for($139.99) on amazon
Yeah, if you don't know what's going on, you kind of lose the impressive nature of my l33t skills.
so thats how you're supposed to use the plasma cannon... interesting.

Was Metro 2033 always a 60 dollar game?

Or was it just really cheap on amazon for launch.
There's no way I spent that much on it.......

Lara Croft and the GOTY

(after bayonetta)

(and quantum theory)

i'd play this all day if I didn't have a paper to write. They really nailed everything. Glad they have 5 DLC packs planned for it.

So just now, I took a shower, admired my rugged look with some scruff, and then ran downstairs yelling "SHOBU, SHOBU!! NEXTO CHARRENGE!!" and sat down to play a round of Dodonpachi Daioujou before I get lunch.
I'm so hung over. What game cures hangovers?

Quantum Theory?
Yes. Quantum Theory with a side of eggs, bacon, cheese hash browns, and a cup of coffee.

but Quantum Theory does most of the curing

I haven't played that game in years... but I do recall enjoying it.

Fire Emblem is just toooo much for me. Between the characters dying for realz, constant reinforcements from every side of the map, boss characters who destroy everything in one turn, etc etc...it's just fucking too much.

Well, I was close to breaking my PS3 this morning. Im on the last boss of Spiderman, and it was almost 4am and I was tired as hell, so I decided to just turn it off. It kept autosaving at the next part of the battle, so I just figured it would save there when I continued. It turns out it didnt :bomb:

Were considering setting up a punching bag in the game room, it would be cheaper to just buy that, than if we keep having to replace controllers.

Ugh my replacement 360 seems to not have all the BC updates on it. I wanted to play JSRF.

Uhhh wtf conker live and reloaded?

I'm in a little passageway. Directly in front of me is a hoverboard over lava. I remember there being some kind of race, but when I get on it all I can do is go around the track to infinity by myself. What?

holy hell that boss was hard.. Worst part was that half the times I died were because of glitches.

You can download the updates to a USB stick if you can't connect to Live for some reason.
Got my Move.
Guess I was third or fourth.
third or fourth in what? Subway?

Speaking of which, I have two Uncharted 2 Siege expansion codes in that. I'll give my extra away to the GGT, if there's anyone here who wants it. Uhh, first to quote this post gets it!

Edit: I also have a code for the PSN game Pain, which I'll never play.

I guess I've done pretty well in that contest so far. 2 Uncharted packs, pain, and Gran Turismo 5! I also won some shitty movie codes that I didn't even both saving.

You're like 2nd in the GGT -- I think gunm is the only dude that grabbed one.

But the contest/loser bit wasn't for Move. It's for Kinect.

Yo.

Also, I think they meant third or fourth in the GGT to get Move.

Were you quoting me for the uncharted code? if so, you win. If not, JSP gets it.

well, i'll be back later and hope that it's cleared up.

also, Pain still available ^__________________________________^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;nnnnnnnnnnn

I'd take Pain if you don't want it :D

Nah, I sold that shit long ago, give it to JSP.
Reach Campaign on Heroic has some frustrating moments. More frustrating then I remember the other halos.
This is true.
The hanger where the big dude is rigging up the bomb aboard the covenant corvette is pretty rough.

That said, I felt like it fit pretty well. I mean, we all know how Reach ends (in the same way that one knows how Titanic ends). With that, one can expect to be pretty consistently overwhelmed. If I had breezed through the game ala ODST or Halo 3 on Heroic, the ultimate fall of Reach would've seemed out of place.

Persona 1 on PSP is a riot. I literally cannot stay awake playing it. I've fired it up 4 times now and my in game clock reads 50 minutes of play time. Last night I was sort of tired but nervous for a test I had to take today. I was worried about falling asleep quickly enough. 12 minutes of Persona 1 later, I was looking at my PSP through one droopy eyelid, scanning the map for potential save spots. I eventually gave up the quest and used the suspend function.

The Fry's Move deal is awesome.
I'm going to buy a second one tomorrow just to get a cheap second Move controller.

It's the Starter Bundle plus Kung Fu Rider for $100.

Sell extra:
Kung Fu Rider game - $30
Sports Champions -$30
Camera - $20
Demo disc -$10

That's cuts it down to ~$10 for the second Move.

seriously ggt. Lara Croft is fucking great.

It's funny though. The spin-off game without Tomb Raider in the title almost entirely consists of tomb raiding and awesome puzzles interspersed with fun + short fights, where the mainline games take you to all kinds of dumb settings and are more of mix of full-on crappy action scenes and just-decent puzzles.

philosoraptor.jpg

I'd like to see them make a full featured retail game on this formula, with a more fleshed out leveling system and more enemy types and puzzles. It would be a pretty ground-breaking ARPG. One where you don't just mindlessly click click click click item manage click click click distribute stats click click click the whole fucking time.

Yeah, I've been dying to play more of that Lara game after the demo on Steam. It just felt like a classic, good game. Focused on a good gameplay experience.

I need to get my PS3 back from my buddy so I can play it.

I hear some of levels/puzzles change up when in co-op, making it a different experience.

yeah, there are challenge rooms that are different in co-op. maybe some other stuff too. If I'm still in love with the game by the time the PS3 patch comes out, I'll want to check that out.

Finished a surprising amount of stuff today. And playing a bunch of Daioujou on the side. The game's saying I've put a little over 3 hours into the game, which is a good amount for an arcade game I've had for like... 2 days. Gradually getting better... all goes according to keikaku.

Yeah, Persona 1 is a genuinely terrible game. It has not aged well, and is not enjoyable in any way. But there is something to be said for games that can reliably help you get to sleep.
