Got the All Clothing and All Stores achievements, tomorrow I'll restart and gamble my way to the SUV car keys to make the Genocider achievements easier. I'm at 760/1000 right now.

well i'll be damned i just won a copy of comic jumper off twitter

of course i am slightly tempted to trade it if someone can get me lara croft or super meat boy

edit:screw it just redeemed it
for free it has to at least be worth it for the unlockables

Man, so I've been playing Reach with my bff and she's really not great at it. She sat there at the (next to) last level today with me trying to get the "If they came to hear me beg.." achievement for 2 hours! Great God, it took forever. She still hasn't got it :(

Sucks that I don't live close enough to her to just do it for her.

------------
So, what's some big hopes of ya'lls for this PSOne originals sale? I'm pretty much just buying whatever they put out since Symphony of the Night was literally the only thing I was planning on picking up.

You get two 'splosion man levels, if that floats your boat.

The humor is great, but I still think the gameplay is terrible.

Joel, I haven't forgotten about the bongos. I've just been busy -- I'll PM you when I have a box and have weighed them.

Yo I played through that Spider-Man game recently and it is actually pretty bad. It gets hella boring quickly.

AvP is the best beat 'em up ever though, and holds up super well.

I feel the same way about Simpsons Arcade.

:whistle2:#
Hopefully they'll get Captain America and the Avengers out too.
I thought Captain America and the Avengers was awesome as a kid. I played it a couple months ago. Not so awesome anymore.

One game I do remember from my childhood that was good was something like Marvel and the Infinity Gems (or something like that). I need to dig that one out soon.

Marvel Superheroes: War of the Gems for SNES? That game is still pretty good. It is on SNES.

Okay, mang :D

My friend finally got that achievement! Third try today!

I was planning on platinuming Enslaved, but I just dont have the patience to find all the tech orbs right now. So instead I popped in Nier so I could finish up part one, and holy moly it was amazing. It was definitely unexpected, and I had to force myself to stop since I had to get up early today. I believe this may take the crown from Bayonetta as my personal GOTY.

I still have Castlevania and Mafia II to play through, not to mention countless Wii games, ugh. How can some of you play through so many games? I still even have SMG2 sealed o_O

I liked Nier, but got side tracked by another game; I have been meaning to get back to it or restart it though. Perhaps when I finish Dragon Age I'll play Nier if I don't decide to try and play more of Atelier Rorona.

why'd you have to go and say that??

*looks at collection*

alright, looks like Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is getting traded in for nier right now.

I'm enjoying the hell out of VC, but now I gotta play nier. Not that I actually believe I'll like it more than Bayonetta of course ;)
Just put DA on easy and AOE yourself to the finish line
I've been playing it on Normal and it isn't like I've really been having a hard time, I just haven't really had very much time to play games for the past month due to work.

You honestly think a strange action-ish RPG is going to unseat a 3d combo-based action game for you? Come on now. :p

Signed back up for BB Gamepass since I've had a bunch of free time after work lately.

Rented NBA 2K11... that game is hard as shit, My Player mode particularly.

How long was Enslaved? Thought the demo was kinda lame but since I have the pass I'm thinking about giving the full version a chance. If it is longer than 10 hours though I'm not interested.

I've been bi-curious about Nier for a while. It seems like a good simple guilty-pleasure game.

No, no, no, of course not. Re-read the last sentence of my post!

If you enjoy story-driven games then you'll like Nier. I'll actually leave my game on while I do other stuff just so I can hear the music, particularly:

Save yourself the trouble of playing through DAO, and just skip over that borefest for now. Your missing out on a ton of other playworthy titles.

It took me about 9 hours on Normal to beat the game. If you really want to just rush through it, you could probably beat it in 7.

I don't know I really like DAO, like the characters are great and it is really fun to make tricky decisions even if I always pick the nicest ones so my female warrior is basically a saint (I have a really hard time making evil decisions in games because I would never do that stuff in real life, kind of makes me feel guilty whenever I try and play as an evil character). But what I like is sometimes it is hard to know what the outcome of a choice that seems "good" will be, which is a nice departure from most of Bioware's other games where it has been very obvious what the result of a choice would be.

I'm also beyond half way in DAO so I feel like I need to finish it now or else I'll probably want to restart which means I wouldn't beat it for a long time (because I typically have a zone of time where I feel like I may as well restart because I probably forgot a bunch of stuff, but it hasn't been long enough so I don't really want to restart it yet).
I loved DA as well. I must have played through it at least 8 times.
welp, watching the opening cinematic. 7 days to return it, thankfully.

Chapter 3 of Alan Wake went absolutely nowhere with the story. I spent several hours real time just wandering through the forest only to be right back at square one in terms of finding Alan's wife. Actually, based on the start of chapter 4, it looks like the story took two steps backwards as far as finding out what the hell is going on here.

I may play some Nier tonight.
welp, watching the opening cinematic. 7 days to return it, thankfully.
Is that because you don't like games heavily influenced by a story? I mean, there is a combat aspect to it, but it's more about exploration, completing the quests, and moving forward with the story.

Oh and gunm
That's exactly how I felt about Alan Wake. I felt confused almost throughout the entire game, not to mention flustered everytime I would get flanked by the enemies. Overall, it was an ok game, but nothing spectacular IMO.
At the State Fair, gonna eat some fried shiznit.
I heard friend PB&J sandwiches are delicious, but have yet to try one myself.

One of the worst things about Comic Jumper is that annoying bitches voice that taunts you with health markers. "CAPTAIN! YOU'RE BELOW 75% HEALTH! YOU'RE OFF YOUR GAME TODAY!".

I'd be much happier with trying to give the game a fair chance to grow on me if I could turn off that fucking indicator without turning off the voice acting all together.

Also, the other thing that really hurts it is that you start at such low health and damage... once you're maxed out in those categories, the game isn't actually half bad.

I don't like it when there's a shit ton of long cutscenes. Unless it's really balanced out by a ton of gameplay. I'll play it a lot tonight and see how I feel. So far, so good, and yeah, the music is awesome.
Nier is the new UTIII I guess.
Same. I like games like Mass Effect that have a lot of story, but give you a lot of options in dialogue etc. rather than just having you passively watch cut scenes and conversations.

Looking forward to finally playing Dragon Age when the Ultimate Edition comes out. Have been waiting on it as I was sure some GOTY style bundle was forthcoming.

Playing some Disgaea today since I'm burnt out on DR2. My UMD is cracked and fucked up so the game threatens to crash like 5 times a cutscene. But damn, this game is fuuuun.

The best part about DAO was
screwing all the chicks
. After that, I didn't even need to finish the game. I probably should though. :p

When you put it that way, it doesn't sound half bad. May have to pick it up down the road.
Nier is like Quantum Theory but not as awesome.
I heard from a friend that QT sucks balls :(

Oh and Nier doesn't really have a ton of cutscnes, no where near MGS4 style. I just find the game perfectly balanced in all the different gaming aspects, it's only flaw at this point are the graphics.
