The fight after that is just as bad. If your characters aren't fast enough, Rafa will get killed before you can even make it up the stairs.

Weird, that's why I haven't gone back to Disgaea yet, because it's just the same shit with different enemies. Go here, kill these guys, do that on the map. Where's my variety?!?!

Eh, I guess that's just different tastes. The way I look at SPRGs has always been kind of like a game of chess: you have this set number of pieces, each one has a set number of abilities, here's your opponent's pieces, plan out a strategy and figure out how to beat them with what you have. Disgaea appeals to that, and the humor (it can be a little juvenile, but some stuff like the Prisim Rangers have me in stitches) and the depth/level grinding seal the deal for me.
 
I really, really want to be excited for Epic Yarn and DKC, but I'd much rather be playing Fallout and Fable.

I think achievements and online play have ruined me this generation.
 
Think I'm going to rent Medal of Honor tomorrow, feel like shooting some dudes. I currently have Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions out, and it is pretty good. I'll rent it again down the road.

Any word on when Mario Sports Mix is coming out?
 
Yeah, I think I'm going to give Medal of Honor a try. I did enjoy Battlefield BC 2 and I feel like shooting some dudes too.
 
I'm renting MoH too. It'll be my last rental then I'm canceling BB for now.

EA should have held MoH back until March. Everyone is just going to wait for CoD.

fuck yeah, got the toffees for Level 50 and saving 50 people. I feel like a king...or at least I would, if I could get money easier. Three gambling books + the huge slot machine just isn't enough!

You can hit them 3-4 times, walk away as they try and swipe at you, then chase them and repeat. It probably helped that was near 50 though, so my speed and attack were maxed. :whistle2:#

The downside is that if Ramza gets killed once your speed rating is over 15 or so, he dies instantly because the timer hits 0 so quickly.

I always make Ramza a Ninja, so speed is never an issue.

anyway, yeah dallowgentlemang-- agito and versus characters are your typical prententious-as-fuck Final Fantasy characters that have had more work done on their hair than their dialogue. I would complain more, but people fall for these designs and the shitty "backstory" of these two dimensional characters all the time.

Whatever pays the bills.

I'll be picking up Alundra. I'm not going to get Arc the Lad until I get confirmation that the second will be out as well. The first is really just a prequel for the second game.

Finally finished my presentation on the acquisition of grammatical morphemes.

Don't think I'll go to the lab tomorrow, I'd be so unproductive at this point. Oh well, I'll just work my ass off Wednesday to make up for it.

Sleeping in and playing a few games before class tomorrow sounds good.

The one on the
roof with Rafa, Elmdor and the two assassins. You lose if Rafa dies, and she's both dumb and really fragile.
Can be rather infuriating if you're underlevelled, especially if you overwrote your only save after the Wiegraf fight.
