sleeper is a friend of mine... that's his "artist's name" >_<

as for story reading, I'm the only one doing it... everyone else is doing installations and paintings and whatnot.
Rolento, have you played/own the Syphon Filter games? I don't have the original, but I'm playing Logans Shadow and I LOVE it. The control scheme seems insane at first, but makes complete sense later on and works really well.
They are very good. Let's just say I was a Syphon Filter fan, didn't like the PS2 one much so I kind of forgot about the series. After hearing good things about Dark Mirror, I really liked it and bought it eventually. I liked the Logan's Shadow demo, then I got a review copy while working on a handheld gaming site and really liked it (I gave it a 5/5). I finally bought a retail copy of Logan's Shadow and still really like it. One of the very best games I've played on a handheld.

That's why I badly want Syphon Filter on PS3 in 09.

Geez, could BC on the 360 be any worse? I was playing Silent Hill 2 on Sat, put it in again yesterday and now it won't run. I wanted to play through that as well :bomb:

In other gaming news I started play Thrillville (360 version) at the weekend and it was quite good fun. On the other hand I was trying to play through that Jumper game which I rented for cheesemints and it's a big pile of arse.
It happens on PS3 regardless of SKU at times (I have the 20GB). I remember one update over the Summer made my copy of Wild Arms 4 (PS2) no longer work (but a later update fixed it), and now I wonder if an update made the controller not work for Bomberman Party (PS1), although the game plays.

I take your point, BC ain't bullet proof, but I expect a game that worked one day to work the next.

Maybe it's me, maybe I'm asking too much.

The annoying thing is I got rid of my original Xbox, so I can't play the game at all now :bomb::bomb:

I was a big fan of SF 1 & 2, but Dark Mirror got repetitive for me. I feel as if the first 2 were action-puzzlers where you had to figure out how to get up there, or what order to kill the guys in to survive. Dark Mirror just gave you a ton of hallways with guys to shoot and corners you had to pop around.

Taking a break from working toward 100% in GTA IV and Okami, and opted to rent Dark Sector.

While I can't say I'm impressed with the game (too generic, and too much of the "gray" atmosphere), I do like the campy story and characters. The gameplay actually reminds me a bit of Resident Evil 4. It's a solid rental.
the flyer for the show isn't finished since the people heading up the show haven't given me all the info, but it's this saturday. I still feel weird reading stories to a crowd of adults.. and yes, cookies and milk will be served as they sit on the floor.

*flyer*
Your name totally steals the ad

I personally like the gameplay of Dark Mirror/Logan's Shadow the best, but that's just me.

I still have bothered getting a drink (I'm still too anti-alcohol). ;)

I only played the Dark Sector demo but didn't see too much special with it, so I decided to not bother with it.

I have yet to ever play any of the Syphon Filter games. I knew a guy from work who was absolutely in love with the series, and it was all he ever talked about whenever we talked video games. Maybe someday I'll pick up the Playstation trilogy while it is still easy and cheap enough to find online but IDK. I'm sure it would probably just sit on the shelf, banished to the backlog.

I've only been playing a bit of Advance Wars: DoR recently. Not much time for anything else. Making travel plans for my sister's wedding in June. I've taken off work from June 11-16, but I'll be back home by the 14th. Those last two days are Metal Gear days.

I post where and when I want. Would you prefer I stay away? Or do I need to remind you that my drink offers still stand every time I reply to you? I'll be living in Mankato for at least one more year! :D If it makes you feel better, I'm getting a PSP next month and will probably buy a PS3 by the end of the year.

There really isn't anything special about Dark Sector. It's a generic shooter with a bland atmosphere. Still, there is enough of a power/upgrade progression to give it an RE4-style vibe. I'll doubt I'll ever replay it and I wouldn't pay more than $20 for it, but it is some solid, mindless fun.

And the scythe is really cool. Aftertouch + Power Throw + flames FTW.

I haven't looked for a job yet, but if I were in MN, I know you want to get me a drink since it will not kill me as you say. :p

I'll admit I liked the graphics in the demo, but didn't see much interesting to it. It was a game I originally had interests in, but pretty much dropped off my radar. I

I think Left 4 Dead is gonna be the catalyst to make me buy a new computer. I know it might not be resource intensive, but still. Is that gonna make it's way to the consoles at some point?

Yes RR, your name steals the show... ;)

And good morning GGT, you all know how I hate Mondays... today is no exception. I'm working extra hours today, BUTTTTT... We're going to secure that MGS4 PS3 LE today ;)

WISH ME LUCK (good luck to whoever is trying to get one too) !

Yeah, good luck MM, and all you other GGT'ers hoping to get one. I'm kinda anxious to see what they will go for on Ebay.

I'm just really looking forward to the non-LE 80gb PS3 MGS4 bundle, and I hope I won't have too much trouble finding one. From the buzz around the internet, there seems to be alot of interest. I may be picking mine up in Kentucky while I am up for my sister's wedding, so I've got my brother scoping out some places up there, cause he's wanting to get one too.

Played some Rock Band today. Stupid me didn't know I was suppose to tap the mic when circles appear on screen. :whistle2:(

I wish the CAG Wiki for trade-in values was updated like it use to be, since I wish I knew the values of many games I have, but oh well.

Day and Date on the 360, IIRC.

I will probably get it for the PC though, as Valve is one of the few companies left that put out amazing PC games, and rush the console port... and they also continually update the PC version, whereas they don't do that with the console ones.

So Shadow Hearts Covenant... that looks good now that I've read and seen some stuffz. But the other two and Koudelka... not worth bothering? I mean, I only want something excellent, not just okay.

I felt Shadow Hearts: Covenant had beyond an excellent story and was surprised how much better it was compared to previous installments.

Unfortunately, I was scammed out of my first Shadow Hearts. :whistle2:(

Got this in the mail today. 6 bones off Ebay.

Pretty sure Koudelka was nifty but doesn't hold up at all. Go with the shaaadowww man!

In fact, I think I'll bust out my own copy for a bit.
It's not worth it! Don't throw your money away!
MarkMan loves collecting stuff. :D

I'd get the bundle too if I had the money. I like having a different colored PS3 and wouldn't mind the lack of PS2 BC. ;) Well, I'd probably not even open it. :p

EDIT: I just now noticed EB/GS is giving 20% bonus when trading in three PSP/DS games. Looks like I'll be there doing so. Sucks because I traded in Capcom Classic Collection Reloaded last week (Wanted to trade it in before it drops, since the game is quite cheap and was given $7.70 credit for it). I may be trading:
-Castlevania: DXC
-Gurumin: Monstrous Adventure (I really like the game, but I barely played it)
-Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner (Sucks I will not get anywhere near as much I'd want from GS, but oh well)
-PQ2 (despite how much I loved and played the first a lot, I barely played the 2nd)
-Street Fighter Alpha 3: Max
-Maybe Ridge Racer since I own Ridge Racer 2 import, but in ways I like Ridge Racer better.

Sucks I can't get rid of my imports easily, because I'd like to ditch one Ape Escape I have (but I'll keep it if I have to, since I got it very cheap from Play-Asia) and Tales of Eternia (Euro).

Valve doesn't rush the port when they are the ones doing it. The 360 port of Orange Box was quite good but they passed of the PS3 port duties to someone else (EA?) and that version suffered.

Shadow Hearts Covenant is awesome. One of the best RPGs on the PS2. The first Shadow Hearts was a good game, but not excellent. Thing is you need to play it to fully appreciate SHC.

Koudleka and Shadow Hearts: From the New World aren't worth your time.

I love to collect stuff to, but this just ain't worth it to me :/

Last LE I got was the Crisis Core Bundle, and even though I enjoy it, I regret blowing all that money on it >_<
It's a bit too dinged to sell it as new, but I might let it go and just pick up the standard silver or black PSP Slim.

The box is just too cool though (even though it's like a shoe box)

last nite I got to week 3 on TWEWY, it's a pretty cool game that grows on you.

I'ma set my DS aside for a day or 2 to collect more sleep points!!

I charged mine PSP up last nite! gonna play Gurumin & Crush tonite!!

maybe sum more Onimusha too...
So Shadow Hearts Covenant... that looks good now that I've read and seen some stuffz. But the other two and Koudelka... not worth bothering? Koudelka I heard wasnt even that good. I think it only ties into the first game becoz
the koudelka girl is like the mother of one of your party members

Yea, I'm a sucker for MG stuff. I know it is a terrible value, but considering how I love how it looks, I'm in for 1 no matter what ;(

+ I cancelled my Silver PS3 order because of this PS3, IM GETTING THIS
Markman, if you get 2 of those MGS PS3s, you're gonna run outta space. Kan u send me an arcade stick to make room?
I see what you're trying to do!

It's not working on me, stop trying to seduce me.
Wii Fit's incoming from Amazon. You guys are gonna be jealous when I'm super fit!!

I could lose some weight (I weigh 130lbs and feel I may be a tad overweight at 5'5"), but I'm going to skip Wii Fit I decided.
And the scythe is really cool. Aftertouch + Power Throw + flames FTW.
That was my favorite part of the game except I was more partial to the freezing ability. :)

That sounds fine. Of course it depends on your eating habits and exercise habits and whatever. And there are plenty of better ways to lose weight then Wii Fit :D

I'm 15, and 5'11" and 170, and I'm good.
last nite I got to week 3 on TWEWY, it's a pretty cool game that grows on you.
Is that a spoiler? It takes place over weeks instead of days?

(only just started it yesterday/is spoiler-sensitive :whistle2:|)

I will try and order an MGS LE bundle, mainly because my chances are slim to nil so the prospect of me actually having to spend the ridiculous premium will also be slim to nil!

Hmm, maybe WiiFit could help me. I'm 6'3" and tipping the scales just a bit under 260. I'm probably too heavy for the balance board though. Too bad I don't have a Wii and will never buy one.
That was my favorite part of the game except I was more partial to the freezing ability. :)
I'm only through chapter 4, so I haven't come across any freezing possibilities. I just like the fact that I can keep fire going indefinitely during a crowd of those infected people/zombies/whatever they are.

1) Burn a zombie.
2) Hit the flame around the zombie to renew the flames on the scythe.
3) Repeat 1 and 2 until crowd have all burned/exploded. :D

There is no way Wii Fit will replace the quality I get out of my gym membership, so no thanks Nintendo, I will keep my $95 to spend on real video games.
Wii Fit's incoming from Amazon. You guys are gonna be jealous when I'm super fit!!

Huh, it is shipping soon. For some reason I thought it wasn't coming out til the 21st.

I ain't going nowhere near Wii Fit. I don't need to die playing a video game, unless it's due to a week-long mmorpg binge. ;)

LTTP, but I finally whooped up on Call of Duty 4's single player campaign over the weekend. I played that shit like I was playing Quake i.e. circle strafing and just running around like a madman blasting everybody. While my teammates were hiding, I was out running and gunning. It was pretty fun.

QFMFT! SHC is in my top 3 PS3 RPGs, while the others aren't as good. From The New World was OK, but only get it if it's cheap.
