You know I saw that and I completly looked past it. Didn't know if you were joking , it was a typo , or you has just time travelled to june 14th and had played the game before all of us.

I was expecting someone to say something along these lines. Thing was , I barely knew her , didn't even think she knew me (like I said , I'd never actually worked with her , just knew that she worked there) and it never even occured to me that she would have a thing for me , otherwise I would've taken the offer even though I didn't need it.:)

Also , assuming someone is gay simply because they turned down a offer for a ride home from someone they barely knew seems like faulty logic to me.

I've heard of Intial D , infact I was actually gonna guess that. Racing subway cars though? That's strange , even for japan Wait , no it's not.
Hah, I didn't get much of a response, not surprised, it was a weak joke in the spur of the moment ;D

I understand about the barely know them part, but I mean, did she ever take a glance you, did you guys even see each other or at least say hi? I always pay attention to a girl's reaction or body gestures (for more than one reason ;)), and I've been around enough to have a good idea of whether I got a shot or it's a no go. What's a bummer is I've been running into a lot of women who are already taken , kinda blows. All the single ones are trashy or hip-hop asian girls who obviously have been around the block a couple times.

The gay thing is kinda funny, maybe you should go find out where she works, "accidentally" run into her, and make a move on her, show her you ain't a fudgepacker ;). I've never been in that situation before though, so I don't know how I'd handle that :/

Racing Subway cars is some pretty crazy stuff, and the fact that there's a pic of an actual "multi-track drift" is entertaining :D. Japan will do just about anything they can think of, I seriously think they're the weirdest country in the world, but most of it is just friggin' hilarious:

I need the second game to complete my set of three , how much you want for it?
I understand about the barely know them part, but I mean, did she ever take a glance you, did you guys even see each other or at least say hi?
Yeah I would see her around the store now and again and I would say hi , just like I do to pretty much everyone else in the store. I never really noticed her taking a glance at me , if anything it seemed like all the times I ever did end up dealing with her for one reason or another (helping a customer , finding something or bringing something back) she always seemed like I was really bothering her and wasting her time , or that she was in a cranky mode or some shit. That's part of what makes the whole situation so strange.

I've actually thought about that , if only to clear the air about the whole thing , but it still seems like one of those really awkward situations.

Those videos were pretty funny. Do they really expect people to actually make it through a lot of those holes?
lol, I played the demo 4 times in a row yesterday... just cuz it looks so pretty...

man its pretty
That's the reason I downloaded it. I absolutely hate DBZ, but it is a very nice looking game and was actually pretty fun.
Aww damnit, I missed Tekken Night again?
I was going to send an invite since I saw you online for a bit, but I thought you didn't have it >_< oh well.
I've gotten about 2 star ratings on half the GPs and 1 star on the rest , save for the last 4 I have to do in mirror. Not a single 3 star rating. Wish someone actually knew a definate way to get them.
You've gotta luck into getting a GP with few to no lightning/blue shells. Since the ranking is all based on your speed, you've just gotta be a fast as humanly possible.

I've torn up certain GPs, thinking I couldn't do it any faster, and double star. In my quest to get 1 star I did manage to get 2 triples, but yeah, I'm not even going to try to get them on everything. Double starring all of Mirror is going to be hard enough. :p
I played more of that DBZ demo.

Its so addicting.

I don't know why I like it sooo much.
I played a little of the Demo the other night. It was ok, it did look really nice. The only thing is how many times can you make the same story mode....

I don't either. I do know I'm buying it though.
I'm thinking of taking Atelier Iris 2 back to Gamestop. It's just too boring.
I really enjoyed the game personally, but then again, Gust RPGs seem to have some "hook" with me. ;)
Holy crap, I'm so addicted to that Final Fantasy Wiiware game. It's pretty much all I've played since it came out...
I'm cosidering the game. I may get it once I get some things taken care of.

Played some early morn Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Got to chapter 3. I got the "Master Ninja" rank on both, which I think is good (whats the highest).
Also, how many chapters are in the game? And when do you play as that other character?

Right now the stupid 5 GIG install is installing for GT5:prologue.

Master Ninja is the best rank. I think there's 19 chapters in Sigma. You play Rachel's missions at a couple different points...I forget which chapters are hers.

Damn straight...been playing Xiaoyu since 3. Still completely suck with her. but if the lag wasn't so bad, I'd like to think I would've done better. Like Rolento and I played when the game first came out and I definitely won a couple matches (out of several.)

Also, this is the first I've heard of throwing being broken online--I should stop doing it so much

Chacrana-- (or anyone else) -- what do you think of Persona 2 so far? I played for about an hour last night and learned the battle system...which is pretty interesting. I like how you can assign and order moves all at once. The contact system is insane though--way deeper than Nocturne. Can't wait to beat 3 so I can play through it. I wish I could turn off the voices though.."you're all under arrest" just seems like the most ridiculous thing you could possibly say to a demon :\

'Morning all.
Gust is a good dev if you like falling asleep while playing.
I found that out for myself last night. Put a little over an hour into Atelier Iris and caught myself yawning while doing so. The graphical style is a bit bland, the music is atrociously bland, the story is a bit meh, and overall, there was nothing about the game that grabbed me. So yeah, I think I'll skip on getting the Ar Tonelico reprint at Rosenqueen.

Maybe I'll start TWEWY as my next RPG instead. That game looks addictive, and I could use some of that right now.
I'm guessing you live in north florida... come to south florida, it's always sunny.
I wish I still lived there sometimes (grew up in N. Dade County; came up to the Northeast for college and have been here ever since). Still visit home for holidays and such, of course. My immediate family lives in the Ft. Lauderdale area now, though, so it's not quite the same.
go to miami... kinda sad if you've never gone. it's an entirely different world compared to most of the united states IMHO.
Good mornin GGT! :D

Done some reading up on a few of the hands-on impressions of Dead Space and watched the new trailer. Nice nice nice.

Let's see... well, at the 9 hour mark, I think Persona 2's really good, and it's looking to get better, too... particularly in the story department. There's clearly a lotta shit going on in the background that's going to lead to some "oh fuck" moments later on.

The battle system is pretty cool, though a bit confusing at first, since I didn't know how to give people commands and basically was just rushing with my broke-ass physical attacks. It's kinda cool that you can just set the moves you want and leave it, though, since you were prolly gonna do that anyway, so why keep inputting the commands? The fusion attacks are also pretty cool once you know how it works. The menus are a bit cumbersome which is the only reason the battle system doesn't make immediate sense. And yeah, the contact system is really cool.

The voices are terrible... I'm just glad that there's not too many of them. The soundtrack, on the other hand, is unbelievably good. Like, one of the best I've ever heard.

So yeah, so far, the game is legit, and it's probably gonna get even better. It's basically got that old-school RPG charm, but with all the cool things that Nocturne had.

Guys, go watch Strawberry Marshmallow. Its some solid anime. I laughed my head off constantly during the 2nd and 3rd volumes. Go get it before its gone (its Geneon).

That's the cross-dressing one?

All of that Gust crap is crappy. Cookie cutter crap. You might as well be buying Madden and NFL Head Coach, they are so interesting and diverse.

But oh god does Black (Criterion shooter, not Ninja Gaiden, but that looks good too) look good on BC. I got it in the B1G1 OG Xbox at gamestop. Also San Andreas, GTA3, and 2 copies of KOTOR2 for $10!

I sold the kotors to pay for the rest!
HAhahahahahaha, not at all.

I'm pretty sure your thinking of Paradise Kiss. I'm desperately hoping that ParaKiss volumes 2-3 are at Anime North though...
Naw, I was thinking of I My Me Strawberry Eggs

And anyway, Gust does suck. I think they're the reason that I've lost interest in RPGs for the most part.

is that some ichigo mashimaro? wait yeah. it is.

yeah it's good if you're a loli fan. -_-;

We should make the GGT also be a pick-up thread. I like seeing pictures of people's purchases, and the CAG pick up thread fails at consistently providing pics. Odd that the shopping site fails to neogaf on showing off purchases.. haha!

Here's my last few weeks, the B2G1 and B1G1 at gamestop paid for itself in almost every instance- Several copies of Tetris DS and other games are not pictured because they got amazoned. Also GTA4 SE was only $55 shipped from Buy.com!

All I've gotten lately are some games off Goozex--Gears of War, Crackdown and Oblivion for the 360 and Puzzle Quest for the DS.

Even that's a bit too much since I don't like having a backlog at all, but I don't feel bad about it since I also ditched 11 games, have points left and some more games I will list when I'm done traveling this month.

So at least I'm thinning out my small stack of games I never play.

lotsa HDDVD stuff there-I think if I had a decent size TV, I'd have gotten in on that clearance stuff.
lotsa HDDVD stuff there-I think if I had a decent size TV, I'd have gotten in on that clearance stuff.
I have a 50" HD set, and I still held off. Was slightly tempted, but I just don't have much desire to buy movies in a dead format.

They're fine for now, but who knows how hard it will be to find something that plays HD-DVDs in 5 years, 10 years etc. when the clearance player I'd picked up died.

Probably helps that I've drastically cut back my DVD buying the past year or two as is, and I'm not in a huge rush to get into Blu Ray either. Just not much of a videophile. I like HD stuff, but upconverted DVDs get me buy. Especially with the still high cost of BR players and movies relative to DVDs.

I do like that Euro-trash get the blue cases, but yeah, they apparently can't buy anything right.

Though I need to import Ridge Racer 2 for the PSP from Europe... still.... been meaning to do that for like a year and a half.

Anyway, passed the 12 hour mark in Persona 2. So... that's good. They really don't make 'em like they used to

I haven't purchased any games at all so far in May (surprised myself!) I'm saving up for two Gunmetal MGS4 bundles later tonight/tomorrow and Wii Fit for my Mom as well.

-_-

you really don't need to import Ridge Racer 2. It's the same game plus extra content. Not even similar, the exact same tracks, plus extra stuff. Same menus, same feel. There's a reason it didn't come out here..

A really good PSP arcade style racer is Need for Speed Most Wanted.

I am clearly inspired by MarkMan's glorious neoGAF thread, but I wanted to bring some of that fun discussion to the GGT.

Naw Mayng, Ridge Racer 2 added in tracks from Ridge Racer R4, which are like the best ever. As a fan of the series, I gotz to have that.

And yeah, I like the idea of putting the pics in the GGT. It makes sense.

You're saving for 2 Gunmetal MGS4 bundles? what for?

I finally played some random MK Wii online last night. Even at 4am EST, games filled up pretty quickly. Strangely everyone was else was in California or New York though. The important thing is that my VR is over 5000.

I will get some pictures of my fancy new game room soon.

Hmm, I need to downsize some of my collections more, but it's getting hard now.

I might end up selling/trading in at GS Castlevania: DXC on PSP since I've come to a halt in that game; however, I finally made it a tad further, but we'll see.
