Yeah, 100-hour long dungeon crawler is not the best place to start.

Fuzion Frenzy 2 is just so boring onlline with all the crap you can't skip. And those cards you can play are super lame. (FF1 is clearly the superior game IMO.)

I was joking, but I did like FF1. For the 30 minutes I played of it.

MK Wii I will definitely be down for if I ever get around to picking it up.

I had a lot of fun climbing the tower every night...it was the daytime/dating-sim stuff that I found tedious and grating.

I just need to concede that, no matter how sexy and fun they may look in trailers, I'm never going to be into RPGs.

I'm scared by how much I like the school sim stuff. Family members and friends are scared too...but they watch and get into it like a reality show.

I just started Persona 3 FES. Seeing that I never played a persona game before, I have to say this game is....different. I really like the cutscenes, though. But the 1st hour and a half was nothing but pushing x. :| I know it'll get better though. :)

Anyway, I'm in love with GTA IV and I just got Persona 3 FES (thanks daroga!) so I'll probably try that out later today. Hooray for summer!
 
Yay, I actually tore myself away from GTAIV long enough to:

1) download Battle Fantasia
2) play Battle Fantasia
3) download Penny Arcade demo
4) play Penny Arcade demo

I enjoyed Battle Fantasia, and I will definitely pick that one up.

I was less impressed by Penny Arcade. It's got super production values and seems really well done overall, but I'm not cool with that 1600 points MSRP. It's probably worth it given the time/effort that went into it, but I can't bring myself to put an entire XBL point card down on any one game. I guess I'm just not 100% subscribed to the whole electronic download system yet. I'd still prefer a disc and feel like the more I spend on a downloadable game, the more I'm getting ripped off or missing out on something. Anyone else feel the same way?
 
I'm trying to find out, but I don't know shit right now. All I know is HYPE!!

I wonder who's actually developing the game...

Digital distribution has some good points, but I don't like throwing more than $10 down on a download. For one thing, sales usually don't happen. Plus, I like being able to sell a game later, and I like having a physical copy. I don't feel like I own my DL games, but I'm merely licensing them, Also, I like being able to play a game without needing an internet connection. I can't play Geometry Wars without one, for example. MS should have set the 360 up like Steam and let you authorize your console to play your XBL games offline.

I'd say overall, Steam > PSN > XBL as far as what I prefer in a DD solution. Steam is way more flexible, and isn't tied down to any set hardware. PSN gives me 5 downloads per game, and I wouldn't have to be connected to the internet to play them if I had a new PS3.

Not a GGT. It wasn't there when WSB made this thread and magically, one minute after WSB made this thread, Manga Kite's thread was edited and it was a GGT.

I'm with you. I have a hard time paying money for a game I can't resell when I finish with it.
 
Well said, hank--that encapsulates my feelings exactly.

And I just saw the Infinite Undiscovery trailer. While the game looks promising, there are already things that look like they would annoy me.

For one thing, the title! What the hell is "undiscovery"? You can't "undiscover" something (although I'm guessing that has something to do with the story).

Next, they showed a glimpse of couple of twin cherubs in one of the cutscenes. For the love all that's holy, please do not include cherubs in the game! One annoying little git is one thing, but two would break the Annoying JRPG Canon barrier.

And of course, the english dub is horrible. I hope there's a subtitle option.

But I'm still interested overall because I like Level 5 and have enjoyed all the titles of theirs that I've played so far. Here's hoping...

Totally agree--it'd be bad to lose the ability to "own" a game physically or digitally and thus the ability to sell it off if we wanted. While the game industry might lament the grey market, I'm not sure they really understand that the grey market helps me support my game purchases. If I can't resell games I no longer want/play, I'm probably going to cut back on my overall game buying habits. A bit over half the games I've been picking up, I do off of sales or trades of my existing collection.

Is there a new demo for the game or something? Lost Planet still wasn't clicking in the PC demo for me...

Oh, and are you still playing Persona 2, as well?

Epic admitted that the game was like that for a reason, you're not doing anything wrong ;)

I forget the reason, but yea, in an interview for GoW 2, they admitted they made the locust take a ton of shots on purpose.
