No way...

I can just picture him popping out of nowhere with a big smile sayin' "What up foo!"
wow, so I quit DDS1 like a year or more ago...I was at the last boss since I was stuck as hell. Decided to pop it in randomly tonight and took her out in one try. weird. Popped in DDS2 to watch the attract mode--looks even better than the first.

I'm knee deep in R+D RPG purgatory! (I'm sick of saying Atlus...Atlus doesn't make shit. All of their best RPGs are made by R+D.)
Mmm... DDS 2. That game was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than the first. Seriously - name anything. Graphics, music, gameplay, story... whatever -- it does it way better.

they finally fucking posted grades...3.4. summer can now officially start and I can stop worrying.

Nah, Disgaea games, despite all the fun, can turn into sleep-inducing sessions to get to the extra stuff.

Disgaea I can play happily knowing I'll never beat it. Persona 3 makes me wanna keep playing but I also know it's one of the longer RPGs out right now. I'm 22 hours in and only on 6/16. On the other hand, things are really starting to get interesting...mild spoilers--
maxed links, cheating on girls, new bgm for tartarus, mitsuru in action etc.

I think it was like halfway between the third and fourth full moons that the game really kicks into high gear. Like, it starts out good and all that, but it gets soooo much better.

Disgaea is so awesome. I didn't get too sucked in as far as power leveling, but I did finish the game. Same with Disgaea 2. I did do a bunch of item world stuff though.

Little Jacob iz da truf, rasta. Aye, mon. It be all irie, me bredren. One luv, bruddahs.

Think I'll start up SSBB campaign for giggles. I dunno if I'm gonna have time to play any GTAIV tonight...and that will be it on consoles for me until I'm back from vacation.

I'm takin' DQM, FFIII, and Pokemon Pearl (in case I happen to stop by TRU on Darkrai day) for me, and Smart Kids, Crayola Adventures, and Little Einsteins for de kiddies.

I dont say "foo" -_-...

I say "food" tho... but in a different context than the scenario you posted above...

edit: nobody in the trading forum has Shiren the Wanderer

Well, guys, my wife and I are off to a tiny little town (pop. ~3500) in South Dakota. There's Dial-up plans there that top out at 500 hours/mo! Oh boy...

I'll keep you posted on things as they update. :)

Dial-up... good luck!

Craziness in Game Informer where they talk about people in the xbl/psn leaderboards ... the dude in 1st for co-op play of N+ says he plays 60 hours a week. Now that's dedication. And not having much of a life.

Got to crack open Shiki III last night--fun stuff. The Tension mode is an unusual idea for a Bullet Hell game, but it's nice to be rewarded for doing what you'd normally have to do anyway to survive in these types of game. It's a solid shooter for shmup fans, so I'd recommend it. I do wish game journalists not familiar or accepting of the genre not knock the game for it's conventions: i.e. the aspect ratio, the game length, the difficulty--these are elements that are inherent to these types of games, either get over it or don't bother.

Also, finally started Subspace Emissary and My Life As a King. Both games have great presentation, but I'm liking MLAAK more so far. I guess I just can't get into the SB series. It's not bad, of course, just not my cup o' tea.

Vacation starts this afternoon--yay!

Nothing says "Seize the day!" like waking up at 2:30 pm or later for a week straight. I need a job. . .

Markman, are you going to be up for some T5 DR this weekend? I'm in need of a thorough ass kicking. :)

Itagaki: "I have slight displeasure of this game."

Forums: "OH MY GAWD BLACHH IKHBJCJH HE KILLED MY DOG KHBNN BLARGAH BLARG BOOBS LOL"

Have a good weekend, gentlemen.

What would you choose?

Florida CBS affiliate KMBC reports, "Max Motors in Butler is offering anyone who buys a car the choice of $250 in gas or a free semi-automatic handgun. … So far, the handgun is a more popular choice." They don't just hand you the gun. Dealership owner Walter Moore says, "The dealership will hand the customer a certificate to get the gun, but you must pass a background check. The local police chief said he is OK with the promotion as long as the weapons aren't handed out at the dealership.
In this economic climate, we can't be the only ones thinking that we'd take the gun…and then all the free gas we wanted

TRUF.

Also So Brucie called me last night and asked to grab some food so I agreed. On our way back from the restaurant my car caught fire so I led him to safety, but when other cars exploded the light pole was knocked down and hit him right in the face and he's down and out. I was like WTF Brucie you suppose to be the alpha male the strong one, but one hit from the pole you're out? I picked him up from the hospital and he was topless too. I found that very funny.

Make sure you either have the Gold edition, or buy the heroes + villains pack from the marketplace.

It is sooooooooo worth it.

when i used to time fansubbed anime (don't do it, it's the most worthless and unsatisfying job ever) i needed 2 tools. one of them was virtualdub. i needed it to rip the audio and to preview the subtitles before encoding.

then i used some archaic tool called substation alpha. what i would do is listen to the voice based on the wavelength, then insert the appropriate audio. once i finished, i would preview the thing in virtualdub to make sure that the subtitles disappear when the shot changes.

substation alpha is old though. google says that aegisub is the new way to go. and this is probably the hardest way to do it. there's a tutorial on youtube.
Ah, you finally got that mint, complete copy of Metal Gear Solid for the GBC. Nice.
Yea it took awhile, but I finally got one for a price that I felt comfortable with. ;) ($30)

Yeah, the concept and character art is amazing. I had to do like a quadruple take on the article for it in gameinformer.
